Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hi, despite scouring the web I am yet to find any threads on how to replace a central locking motor actuator on my driver's door. PROBLEM: Driver's door not remotely locking on my 3 dr Fiesta. Locks via the key, but doesn't work on the fob. I've tried the suggested method of holding both buttons for 4 secs and it still doesn't work. Started to strip the door down today and got as far as removing the window. However, I'm having difficulties in removing the black plastic panel that sits behing the door trim. I've undone all the bolts, but the panel appears to be attached by a plastic arm near the locking mechanism. Does anyone on here know how to remove this panel from the door so that I can get access to the actuator motor? So near, yet so far and so frustrating. Thanks
