  1. When I first saw the car first thing I did was checked everything, pretty much like a MOT mechanic lol. I knew there was some work to be done, but I didn't mind as I enjoy it, plus wasn't going to cost a lot to get it through Its MOT. More pics of the car when I took it to national tyres, Due to my trolley jack wouldn't go underneath the car, i had to take it to the garage. Since I've know them since I did work experince withn 3 years ago tney let me off with a small charge for fitting, at the same let me work underneath the car while the discs and pads were being fitted. :) Then came out the wax oil, underseal and copper grease. Also sprayed my calipers and exhaust in silver for a cleaner look. :)
  2. How you doing folks hope all is well. :) How are the Fords running :) As some of you know I had complication with my Mondeo after spending so much trying to sort it out and also me investergating faults and taking things off, hoping to find the cause. I never did find the cause, but the owner I know had the extact same problem it turned out I was right about the timing being off, His chain had slipped and the injector pump was out of sink, not getting the correct fuel mixture. in the end my videos did help, Didn't fix mine, but at least my mate did so wasn't all in vain. :) Took the mondeo to the scrap yard, on the day it broke down 6 times before reaching the place. I'm sure this car was trying to tell me something, It got there in end and the hunt for a new car began. Here she his bought it in January 6th. Its a Rover 75 2.0L CDTI M47R engine, which is a BMW design, no headgasket issures, unlike the K-series engines. :) After collecting the car first thing i did was give it a full valet, interior and exterior. :D :D :D Love this car, also gave it some maintence and more soon to come. :D :D
  3. I was lucky to get it to be honest, I asked for work there 2 years ago, but they weren't intrested at the time. They go past mine everyday to get to work. They work around my hours and I work around theres. :) So it pretty much works out both ways, if you can get the balance right. :)
  4. Hows everybody? :D Its pretty busy, started a my new part time job last week which is great. :D Best part about it is, its only down the road from me, less then 30 seconds away. Don't have to spend on fuel costs as much now. Now got Security Cover my dad on the vans and working with gravel and sand for major companies such as Travins Perkins, CL Jones etc. Mainly for building pourposes ready to be collected and sent to each companie. :D Yup its pretty busy. :D
  5. LMAO you made me laugh, I know what you mean, but in all honesty I don't mind them each to there own ;)
  6. All depends what Rover engine you get, The 2.0L diesel model is all BMW engines not a k-series engine which I've worked on in the past. Looking at a Mondeo soon, arranged to see it, lets just this doesn't need anything doing. :) Will be a away for while need to sort work too. See you all soon. :)
  7. Looking at Mk3 mondeos aswell, as I do enjoy driving and after reading, working on one, I've got better idea on how they tick.
  8. Just come back from Mold to pick my dad's pride and joy CL 180 Merc, drives really well and looks the part. :D He's part exchanged is Jaguar V8 for it and have to say he's made the right choice. I'm currently sreaching for a new motor myself, The mondeo is gone with parts removed to make some cash out of it. :D Broke down a few times last night, worst of all it was on a round about. :o My mondeo has been problem after problem so it has now passed on. My wallet was taken over by the mondeo. No wounder I wasn't saving anything. :( I'm in no rush YET, i'm just going to save now and buy a low millage car thats been looked afterd. You pay for what you get. Has to be a diesel tho, Looking at Rover 75's CL180 Diesel, Ford Mondeo Mk4, Focus Mk2 and many more, not going for french cars as I think there crap and not reliable. :m_yes:
  9. Pretty intresting stuff :) I enjoy sight seeing and taking snap shots, while I'm working away instead of heading stright home, I'd stay and explore the area and the pleasure of driving. :) of course I enjoy working on cars if it its maintence, modifications, spraying and restoring. :) I did kickboxing for four years, stopped in 2011 still enjoued it a lot, recived my black belt that same year.
  10. If the car still runs, but the lack of power issure is still there then I'll keep it still, sure hill climb is a pain as I've got to change to a lower gear then before, But if its not serious then i could save and get what it needs done. As my user Ford Loyalty I'm going to live to that. When i was doing sercurity events instead of coming home, I would go stright to the next job, pretty much living in this car. A Engine replacement could be a idea, but the engine and well and truelly looked afterd, I don't think the engine is the issure, I'll find out today and hopefully and have a really good think about it. :)
  11. Looks like I'm not out of the woods just yet, Martin a very good friend of mine who works for Ford as argreed to have a look at it, hopefully this will tell me whats really going on. This will be my last chance to save this car. I love this to bits I don't want it to be in vain. Cross my fingers and pray. Ford pride lives on.
  12. After searching and paying for things, I think the mondeo is a lost cause, I've got injector problems which needs a new wiring loom, plus my chain tensioner is getting worse again more cost. :( Its great for fuel economy and comfort, now its causing nothing but stress and a big hole in my pocket. Sometimes its not worth the hassle. I really enjoy this motor I really do, Its taken pretty much everywhere around the UK for sercurity work, But the fear of conking out and getting recovery to pick it up, you know its not cheap, unless your insurance covers it. Plus the tax and MOT is due very soon, In its present state it would not pass, I've bought brakes discs and pads all round, next day yup you guessed it, Mondeo has cold starting issures. Plus tyres are below legal limit so I need to get a set of them too. Its costing to much too keep going. I'm not a quitter but sometimes you've to do what your current burget allows it, Right now after looking at prices for things I need I've gone over. :( I payed 500 quid for the car and its been serviced 3 times, I service my car every 2months regardless of millage, I can't help it I enjoy working on cars and maintaing them. Its making me angry thinking about scraping it, Its my 2nd favourite car out of the 6 cars I've owned.

  14. I think I've might found the cause, I've noticed one of my fuel injector elterical connections is broken and losse, When I wiggle it, the engine runs better and knocking sound is gone. How much are these connections cost. ? Its underneath the nut of the injector, its held with 2 spring clips either side.
