  1. Stationary Blues... ?

Mk6 2003 Fez Zetec S Hi all, I've recently purchased 2 x 12" 1000W each subs and a 800W 115RMS @ 4 ohm 4 channel amp. Hooked this all up with 2000W wiring kit from "theloudest.com" Cleaned the gunk off the battery terminals and using the power distribution block provided in the wiring kit to connect the power cable. Ran the cables down either side of the car and using a very clean earthing point behind rear seats. Now... my problem. When the car is turned on but stationary, my system sounds and performs great being able to max the volume with no spikes or distortion. HOWEVER... When i start accelerating the LED's on my amp dim, and my subs turn off? Then as soon as I stop at the traffic lights (for example) they turn back on. I've had my battery and alternator tested and they come back good as new. Also checked to see if its overheating and going into safe mode but it doesn't seem to be at all? Been Mucking about with this for a while now to no avail and starting to get quite annoyed that i can only enjoy music while stationary Was thinking it could be a power problem and might be worth getting a 2 farad power cap? If any one has any suggestions or answers it would be greatly appreciated as I fear a few more weeks of this and I'll end up throwing it off the F** bridge. Lol... Cheers. (UPDATE) Turns out the "Amp Rem" on the back of my head unit turns off when driving as a "safety feature" Wired straight into the 12v power to the head unit, now working perfectly B)
  2. Artists And Songs Won't Show On Sync

Hi Danielle, I have the same problem with my aftermarket stereo but I have no idea how to fix it :(
  3. Cheers jeebo, I thought I might be able to, I just needed some clarification. Will be fitting this coming weekend :)
  4. First of all, fantastic guide, and they look great I'll be using this very soon! Just a quick question, say I wanted to have the same setup as yourself but instead wire a button into the circuit (Placed in the dash) to turn them on and off independently. Where could I wire the power too, so they aren't reliant on the centre lights being on? Could I wire into the stereo power wire? Cheers
  5. Wet Plugs

I have a mk6 fiesta and had this exact same problem, the factory washer jets that come with these models are prone to leaking in the rain. On mine it leaked through the back of the jet, onto the air filter and down into the plugs. There are a few options, you can find a guide on here about using silicone grease to stop the leak, or a cheaper alternative to buying new jets http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/160830422888?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649.
  6. Engine System Fault Won't Rev Over 3K

My mate had this same revving problem with his BMW, Does the engine smell like its running lean? . He had a majority of the Sensors checked, bought new spark plugs, new coil pack, new HT leads, hours of pondering on what it could be. Still the same problem. This may not be a technical answer (At all lol) but out of rage he started revving the nuts out of it and after a minute or two it "Cleared" and is now working perfectly. He thinks there was a blockage in the exhaust or cat, could be worth looking at?
  7. Fire In The Hole!

Hahaa! That's hilarious! Sorta reminds me of an episode of south park involving Oprah and a gun... lol
  8. Helloo!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone, I'm about 5 minutes drive from cranbrook jeebo. Nice scenery but the country lanes do a number on my paintwork... lol. And Yourself?
  9. Helloo!

Alright lads, Happy new Year! My names Joe I'm 19 and I'm from Kent in England. Used to own a 99 MK4 1.6SE golf. Sadly she wasn't equipped for handling corners too well and now resides in the scrapyard lol. Needless to say, I'm now a proud owner of a 2003 MK6 Fiesta Zetec 1.6 which not only drives amazing, but also looks great. I've started to make my mark on the fezza so a mate referred me to this forum ( Which I had never heard of until now :o !). As soon as the weather clears up I'll be sure to post some piccys and get started on a project thread. Cheers! Joe
