  1. Hey Dan, No advance on this issue yet. It still hasn't updated but it could be that it is not for my Head-unit but wont know until I go to a dealer. I settled in buying a Bluetooth Adapter for my 3.5 Jack. Works a treat but No steering wheel functions :( Here the link for the adapter if anyone can use it: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/291360200103?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  2. I guess so. That is an extra £100 JUST for the diagnosis!
  3. Thanks Phil, I have been to the Ford dealer today and they have said there is no separate fuse for the lights. Tried different bulbs and swapped with other side as well. I think it is safe to rule this as an electrical fault. NO easy fix for me, I am not that good with electricals. Looks like its back to dealer!
  4. HI guys, I know that bulbs have been discussed to death here but I am having another problem with them. My passenger Headlight (nearside) bulb has blown and I have replaced it with a standard 55w H7 which is the same as the other side (offside). I have checked my fuses and they seem to be all in tact but not sure where the headlight fuses specifically is (i have looked at position F4-5) My passenger headlight is not working with the new bulb. Any help would be appreciated regarding this.
  5. Hi guys, Great post. I have just purchased my 09 Fiesta Titanium and I don't have the update so I can only use my Bluetooth for phone and no music. I have followed the instructions on this thread and I cannot get it to update. Here is what I have done: Downloaded Nov12 zip file and extracted it to my computer. Transferred all 21 files to a FAT32 Formatted USB stick turned radio on without the car started Inserted USB stick Pushed the power button but did not start the engine (keyless) Message then comes up "Update failed. Please restart update" I haven't hard reset the system as I am not sure how to do that. I don't have the options that are listed above. Any help will be appreciated.

  7. Hi, I have just purchased a 09 Ford Fiesta Titanium X and I get the same sound as well and it freaked me out!! It has climate control so the sound is coming from the CD player area. I too am glad I didn't get a 'lemon'. Has anyone found a way of dampening the sound so it is not prominent?
  8. Hello enthusiasts, I am trying to change my Front Brakes and It looks like I will have to replace my discs as well. I have had a look at ECP and I have tried to use the discount code and it is not working but that is secondary to what I am trying to get form this forum. I know that my car uses 278mm diameter 5 holed but I would like to upgrade to 300mm drilled and grooved discs and not sure if this is possible. Can anyone advise me if this is possible and suggest a link to purchase?
  9. No fogging on the lenses. Not even the ford folks found what was the problem when I took it there today at first glance.
  10. Checked the bulbs. They are only a few months old. They are in the right way and the clips seem ok as well.
  11. So I just spoke to my mate who works for Dagenham Motors and he thinks its moisture in the housing and it is known in the Ford dealers' world. Apparently a replacement is in order and there is no home mechanic solution so looks like a trip to the dealers in the morning!
  12. Disheartening! I am such the home mechanic when dealing with simple things but I guess this is not simple. I have only had the car two years and I try to avoid the dealership like the plague! Thanks for the advice guys.
  13. Had it in a Halfords Garage today, the mechanics showed me the Manual Adjustment points for Up/Down, Left/right. These will only move the beam not focus them. My problem is that the headlights make no straight line to focus the beam so that it can be guaged on the MOT machine. The last comment they said was that they cannot even offer to fix it for me bar replacing the headlight units (£188 EACH) and that they have not seen this before.
  14. I just looked up my reg on FordEtis and it has: With Auto Headlamps With Halogen HeadlampWith Automatic Headlamp Control
  15. I am sure this has been done already but I cannot seem to find a solution using the search on this forum. I have just taken my Mk.2.5 2010 focus Titanium for an MOT and it failed for both Headlight beams having the following error: Front Headlamp aim beam image obviously incorrect I am not sure how I am to fix this. I have tried other bulbs but it did not work. At my wits end. Please help o ford gurus!
