  1. Hi guys, Hate to be that guy who only comes on when a problem occurs but its the wifes car and has been totally fine since we bought it. I wanted to mod it but apparently not allowed. Been having some issues recently which have now come to a head. It was running really rough and i did a bit of research and it seemed to point to the MAF sensor. When it was running rough, if i unplugged the maf it ran fine, plugged it back in and ot ran fine for a mile then went lumpy again. Replaced the maf with genuine. It ran fine for a while then two days ago it ran lumpy and stalled on her way to work, the AA came and it had a coilpack fault code (P300 i think) so the AA guy replaced the coil (non genuine) but the Problem is still there. Exhausted our local garages code readers abilities so it has been in our local Ford dealer today. They have just called and said it needs a new PCM. £1400. Im not convinced and have told them to keep it for the weekend while i think it over. What do you guys think? Ive read it could be other things, bad earths, broken wires etc.. im hesitant to pay that kind of money as the tech i spoke to on the phone just basically said "its the pcm, those are the codes, end of story" Any help would be greatly appreciated Matt
  2. I can see them. They worked mate. Thank you. Looks pretty good in my opinion. The knobs may be a little too long, but hey ho..
  3. Yeah, thats the one i've been looking at. Can i ask, what does it look like when the ignition is off? does it look quite standard? does it blend well when the ignition is off? Does it look good when everything is on? or does it look a bit tacky?
  4. Cheers for all the info guys, I actually forgot about this thread. As for which head unit im getting, its a toss up between two. Both of them being Eonon brand from eBay. They do a good few different models, but im going for one with dvd/bluetooth/gps blah blah, but its also got full mobile phone connectivity/screen mirroring and all that kind of gadgetry. Not really needed but fun to play with while your waiting for your Mrs :D
  5. Am in the process of deciding which Eonon to get, so many gadgets! :D
  6. Hi guys, cheers for the replies. Ive messages gforce to see how much he wants. Thanks stoney but your probably right, im an impatient bugger.
  7. Hi guys, Been away for a while but that means the money has been piling up (conservative amounts anyway) Just wondering where the best/cheapest place to pick up a clear rear fog lense is? Ive checked the old eBay but not much on there. Any help appreciated. Matt
  8. Thanks a lot Kurt, very helpful. Just one more question, I notice in the windscreen posted above, there is a opening for the sensor, Is there an opening for the sensor on our glass? or do you have to mount the sensor lower down so it isn't covered by the black stuff?
  9. Really? Bummer. Thanks mate.
  10. I'm sure mate. Definitely no "Auto" on my headlight switch. I am thinking maybe it just has all the wiring? It definitely doesn't have the sensor behind the rear view mirror. Not sure why they would say it had it and not fit it.
  11. Just checked my car on etis, says i have auto headlamps. The switch is just a standard one, no auto. Could it just mean i have the loom for auto headlamps?
  12. Well... Thats a bit rubbish aint it.. Guess i'll have to settle for the rear lights only.. Thanks mate.
  13. Ok, so I've had a search, cant really find any info on removing the orange from the FRONT indicators. Rears seem easy, just swap the bulbs, but the front indicators look like they actually have orange inserts inside them. Is this correct? or is it just the bulbs that are orange like the rears? Cheers, Matt
  14. The front does't look too bad, Not a huge fan of the wrap around rear lights though.. I've always been a fan of older cars though, so i may be biased... :D
  15. Cheers mate. I know they take a reverse camera, I'm just waiting to hear back from the supplier as to weather the screen will automatically switch to reverse camera when you select reverse. Kinda defeats the purpose of having to stop, select the right AV channel before you start reversing. I was just wondering if it could work alongside the reverse sensors, but i guess i answered my own question, the two things (camera and sensors) would just run separate but simultaneously. And as far as the quality of the Chinese units goes, I'm not expecting a top notch finish, but it has everything i want (Bluetooth/Sat Nav/USB/Ipod) with the bonus of DVD if needed and also SD cards, for a fraction of a branded unit of the same spec. Built in 4 chan 65 watt amp too, so im assuming it should run the factory speakers ok.
