    Settling In Well
  1. Just had the car in at FORD for 3 hours and even they can't find the fault that's causing me low pressure problem!! Unreal they say I might need a new ECU, and my injectors are that bad with carbon the technician is 99% sure the injectors will seize up resulting in the head coming off and all that which will cost me about £2100 if I allowed FORD to do the work Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  2. I honestly couldn't tell you how a DPF works this is my first diesel all I know is that it's causing this engine management light to appear none stop and it's cost me a fortune, such an inconvenience Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  3. Particulate filter differential too low- so I'm assuming if it was the fuel rail it would be a different code? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  4. Yea how ever when I do the manual test using the menu stick on the wheel it says on the dashboard DTC 0 (nil) but on the diagnostic machine it's coming back low pressure, Like I've stated before I do have diesel leaking from injectors 3 or and 4 and a oil leak from the rocker cover gasket not sure if there's any connection Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  5. I've just asked the guy at the garage if he told the ECU about the new DPF and he said yes and i asked if he ten told the ECU about the new sensor and he said yes and as for the fluid he said that wouldn't cause the low pressure code to come on Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  6. Car is 2010 plate will that need fluid topped up? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

  8. He checked the 2 pipes and they were fine they weren't damaged or blocked so I got the pressure sensor without the pipes/hoses, if I remember correct am sure the told or done the whole ECU thing as for the fluid I've never heard that? What fluid might you be talking about? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  9. I don't know what any of that means but I am assuming so? What is that may I ask? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  10. He's not gave me the codes as he's erased them how ever it keeps coming up with low pressure codes, and he's physical and electronically checked it and manually checked it and he can't see a fault what so ever, he reckons an ECU software update is needed? I've had a full DPF replaced and a DPF pressure sensor replaced costing a lot of money now am skint and still having bother!! And it's annoying as I travel about 65miles a day to get to work and back so I totally rely on my car Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

  12. DPF UPDATE - so earlier last week I had to replace my DPF and was in 2 minds whether to replace it or delete it how ever cause the car got the towed to he garage and he convinced me to to replace it so I payed the bill for it how ever my engine management light come back on I was raging took the car back to the garage and they thought maybe it never regenerated properly so they done another regeneration on the diagnostics free of charge, how ever my engine management light come back on so he done further investigation leading to that I needed a new DPF pressure sensor which cost me a further £180 as it was from ford, and guess what my light has come back on and it keeps shooting out random codes relating to DPF is there anybody on here that has had this problem before or can help? Further information: not sure if this will be related I have a leaking injector and an oil leak in the rocker cover gasket Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  13. Am not sure on the reason but the garage had soured one and when it got delivered it was the wrong one so he phoned his mate who works at ford in Dunfermline and was told for my car it's dealership only so the cost soared as you can imagine with it coming from FORD themselves so now am left weather to go through with it or not, if am honest the cost isn't my issue my issue is that is it going to fix the car and stay fixed or is it going to give me bother a year down the line or so, that's why I was maybe contemplating just having it removed and deleted with the EGR and get it power tuned, but was wanting to se what people on this forum thought or had similar experiences or have done one of the options but wish they had done the other, Also just to throw this out here my injector 4 is leaking diesel would that be covered in a 2 year extended warranty with evans halshaw? Also my rocker cover gasket has a hole which is causing an oil leak problem and where the rocker cover sits it's a pain in the !Removed! job to get fixed which is annoying as the part only costs about £20 I reckon lol Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  14. How would the car run tho without a DPF and a blanking plate over the EGR? Or does it run better with those 2 working actively on the car? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  15. Also to mention when the light first come on I only had 1 code p2944A am sure it was and said it was particulate pressure differential too low but after leaving it because I didn't have the means to get the repair done at that time it got worse and now stuck where I am currently trying to weigh up my options Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
