  3. Hi Troy. Thanks for the info. Will check if the motor runs or not with no fuse. Do u know if there is a way to disconnect these from the circuit? Never use them n thats a cheaper option at the moment as headlight clusters aint cheap! Thanks Bryan Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  4. Hi folks. I seem to have a electrical fault where fuse 22 on my 07 fiesta keeps blowing. This results in me having no front left side light and no rear left tail light. I have changed out the fuse four times now and after a day or two the fuse blows. I have checked the earthing points related to this fuse (e4 and e11) and im getting a good contact. About a month ago my wifes can was playing up and i used my car a lot to jump start it (her car is now fixed) not sure if this has caused any issues but thought it might be worth mentioning. Again not sure if this is linked but the motor for adjusting the headlight height inside the front light cluster seems to be operating all on its own as i can hear this when i turn the lights on but without touching the selector (1-4). Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction on this as its only a matter of time before the police pull me over!! Many Thanks for the help. Bryan Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  5. Just to update. I went and removed the shift lever and cleaned up the nylon bushes and also cleaned the pivot stem. Greased everything up and hay presto smooth gear changes. Thanks for ur help DieselPig. Thanks Bryan Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  6. Thanks DieselPig I found another thread where it might be the shift arm on the pivot shaft that need opened up slightly and greased. Apparently this is a common fault with the mk6 fiesta when everything gets warm. Gonna try these suggestions at the wend Thanks Bryan Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  7. Hi Folks, just wondering if anyone else has had this issue.... Just recently when driving my 08 fiesta zetec s on a long journey my gear changing become really stiff. Changing gears first thing in the morning is perfect but once everything is warmed up im noticing a big big difference in changing into all the gears?? Its just really stiff to change. Would be greatful if anyone knows what the issue is and how to fix it. Many thanks Bryan Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  8. Hi guys. Right finally we have fixed my problem. I checked the cable from the back of fuse 33 to the multi connector and no continunity so i have managed to replace this cable which i believed to be broken and hay presto! Number plate lights, hazard switch and instruments all back working again. Phwee that was an electrical nightmare trying to trace wires that are in such tight spaces but i obviously couldnt have done it without all your help guys. Will def be visiting this site again for any issues i hav with my motor. Thanks again Bryan Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC

  10. I guess i now need to check the wire as it leaves the back of the fuse box which i think travels down to the multi connector. I have finished for tonight as im loosing daylight but thanks for the help and until tomorrow my electrical problem continues! Anymore advice is truely welcome! Thanks guys. 11. Hi chris. Yeah thats what i have done so this seems to be fine. 12v on one side and nothing on the other. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  12. I have just checked both sides of the fuse and i get 12v from one but not the other. Should there be 12v from both sides? Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  13. Hi Wase. I have just checked the fuse with side lights on and connected to an earth and getting 12v. I hav disassembled the switch unit and i get 12v with side lights on. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  14. Ok thanks. Will try this tomorrow after my work and i will keep you posted on my progress. Thanks again for your help. Bryan Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  15. The cables from the number plate connection run down as far as a multi connecter just beside the rear seatbelt anchor - I checked continunity between and all good. The cables then run from the female end of that multi connector down and along the floor of the car to that splice which is near the bonnet latch on the passengers side - checked continunity here and all good. Thinking about it i didnt check for continunity as a fully connected circuit. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
