Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Roof wrap

I would like to see some pics with the colour
  2. Ride difference of 17" vs 16" wheels?

My MK7 Titanium came with the 195/45 16" when it was time for new tires I decided to go for 205/50's on my 16" and it was like night and day, the car sits 1/2 inch higher and I could feel the difference, much more comfortable ride, I do think my fuel consumption went up a bit because of the wider 205 tires, but it's worth it.
  3. Ford Kuga Fires - 1.6 Ecoboost

3 more have gone up in smoke sins I last posted, at this speed there won't be any Kugas left by the end of 2017, I think the owners of these cars are hoping they catch fire, because at the speed that they are depreciating it will be better to claim the money back from the insurance company On a lighter note meet the new Ford sales team
  4. Ford Kuga Fires - 1.6 Ecoboost

https://youtu.be/mKVEM4WkOkk So the recall was made yesterday, but Ford SA is blaming the death of the man who died in his vehicle as unrelated.11 Kuga's caught fire just this year alone and I personally think Ford took way to long to react, somehow the 1.6 ecoboost engine is the only vehicle affected and only the SA models, they must be doing something different. http://ewn.co.za/2017/01/17/ford-reshall-jimmy-s-death-unrelated-to-overheating-engine
  5. HID help

Must be something faulty, I have had the HID's for 3 years now and never had a problem with them, good luck, there are many posts on this site that will help with the install of the HID's, good luck
  6. So Anyone have the 2015 Mustang?

Friend of the family, it was originally Maroon, but he didn't want to wait 6 months for the right colour so had it painted Blue, engine sounds great Can you spot the Matt Black stripes?
  7. I purchased it second hand, and as I said it's working 100% now, but every so often it doesn't, I would love to have a look behind those buttons to see if my theory is correct, but I don't want to take the steering wheel apart just for something small like that.
  8. I don't have the cruise control button, but I do have the same problem with the phone/ radio button on the steering wheel, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, I also think it might be something sticky, maybe cleaning product that got in between the button and computer mechanism. I have noticed on sunny days when the car gets hot it tends to work better. if you do find the cure please let us know.
  9. Thinking of a replacement for my Fiesta

Well as they say if you have to ask what the fuel consumption is you probably can't afford it, then again driving normal speed limits the owner of the vehicle told us he was getting 8 liters per 100km which isn't to bad if you factor in that its a 5 liter V8, then again press the peddle and I did it gets very thirsty. All said and done, our Rand $ exchange rate puts this vehicle in a Porsche Cayman price range and from a drivers perspective I would spend my money on a Porsche. Then again give me a original 1960's Mustang any day, it will probably turn more heads as well
  10. I think I might have just found a replacement for my Fiesta, with a bit more "Ponies" under the bonnet Thats one mean looking Nose
  11. Sorry if I might be Off topic, but I think we might have the same problem I woke up Saturday morning and my car just would not unlock with the remote, first I thought it might be the battery of the car, but when opening the vehicle with the key everything worked 100% So next up I thought it might be the battery, funny thing is it never gave any indication that the battery was dying, so I changed the CR2032 battery in the remote and still nothing, next up was google, so I basically did everything as above, and after four turns of the ignition between | and || it made the sound "ding" all good, but after this it just doesn't want to program my key, not even my spare key works, I don't get any reaction after the first "Ding" sound, what to do next??? any help would be appreciated. PS I have a 2011 MK7 fiesta OK I spoke to soon, after typing all this I decided why not try programming my spare key and "Walla" it works, so definitely a problem with my main key, funny, I never got it wet or fell or anything like that, one minute it worked the next it didn't
  12. To buy or not to buy? ZS > ST

Well now that the cats out of the bag about the new 200 ST would you hang on a bit or try and wrestle their price down with the new model soon to be released?
  13. New Fiesta ST200 Announced

according to Topgear it will have a limited run of 500 units per year. I am guessing this is the last update before the MK8, can't wait to see what the all new Fiesta ST would look like
  14. Fiesta Mk7 Headlamp Upgrade

very nice, but still to expensive for my blood, I just went with the standard HID conversion kit, still working 100% after almost two years
  15. Would be interesting to see if it is possible, but in terms of costs I would just purchase a MK7.5, to answer your question and by just looking at the front ends I would say 1. the Bonnet needs to change 2. front nose 3. lights 4. fog lights 5. grill 6. bonnet logo internally I do think it's still the same vehicle
