Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hopefully so Delboy, not yet had the box out. I'll get round to it soon. Will be my first time removing a box on a car, not the usual wagon! I'll keep it posted. Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  2. Hi Guys, After many weeks of looking into it here and there I think I might have found the cause, or at least found a reasonable suspect! The flywheel bolts. A few have listened and guessed this. Going to have a look and I'll report back. Cheers! Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  3. Thanks guys, will be sure to check this out. Could anyone tell me where these are located on the new ka? Wouldn't have thought an idle control valve would cause what sounds to be a knocking/clunking sound, such as fhia...... Jack Sent from my iPhone using Ford OC
  4. Evening guys. Been tearing my hair out over a 'clunking' noise, coming from my engine at idle. Started off pretty quiet, but over the last month or so, it's become progressively louder. It's now gotten to the point that along with the noise, my airbox seems to shake pretty badly at idle, almost asif it's stalling, then it'll pick back up again. Could this be the CAT internals? Or something more serious. Had a quick scower about, but can't find anything obvious. Drives perfectly. I've uploaded a video, to give a better indication of what I'm talking about.
