Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Whats The Biggest Thing Youve Had In The Back ??

So it's not huge but the first chance I've had to load it up. Impressed as that box is 4 foot wide. Sent from my HTC One S using Ford OC mobile app
  2. Focus Tdci Juddering/misfiring

Long shot as I don't know where the egr valve is on your engine. Years ago when I was having trouble with my td4 freelander (BMW m47 engine) it turned out to be a clogged egr starving the engine of air and causing other issues i.e lumpy engine etc. As I didn't really know how to sort this at the time I sprayed pure acetone inside the egr every hour or so for a day to melt all the crap out. Worked a treat. Engine ran fine again. Egr valve was removed completely later on. PS Any acetone left over will harmlessly burn off through your engine. Other idea was a faulty injector/s? Best of luck Mike Sent from my HTC One S using Ford OC mobile app
  3. Expandable Foam And A Lot Of Tlc =

  4. Open Car With Flat Battery

Glad you've got in. Don't use WD40 as it will attack the plastics ( brother in laws an auto electrician, he knows these things) use spray on white grease, such as easy grease by rapide. Cheers Mike Sent from my HTC One S using Ford OC mobile app

  7. Standard Vs Thunder

Owned one of these years ago, that was also a 2002. From what I remember Ford just threw the full options list at it. As you say leather interior and a/c but also heated front screen and the top end stereo. Always felt a stiffer ride than the standard, but can't say it was a different set up. anyway nice car and a bargain, keep your eye open for rust at the base of the doors and rear wheel arches. I always found premium higher octane fuel worked well in these engines. Enjoy Mike.

  9. Back In The Ford Club.

Just to say hello. Bought a Ford Fusion last saturday and I'm well impressed already. Needed a car with more space as my Suzuki Alto was way to small. I bought a 2004 Fusion 3 1.4 tdci with 66000 on the clock, full service history and not a mark on it! It really looks like it's just come out of the showroom. Previous Fords owned are Mk1 fiesta L 950cc Mk2 fiesta 1 liter Puma Thunder (fooking fast!) Mk3.5 Fiesta Sapphire (yes I do mean. 3.5) Other cars Alfa Romeo 145 1.6 boxer (broke!) Alfa Romeo 145 junior t spark (also broke!) Citroen ax debut Citroen Saxon Landrover Freelander es td4 auto (still got this for pulling the caravan) No were not rich, just old enough to have owned lots of cars. Anyway a big hello to you all. Hope to join in a few discussions with you. Mike
