  1. As I understand, you need to install software on laptop and connect cable to laptop inside your car to run it the software. Then first you need to do to save current setting on each page of software and then you can start to make changes. Hope this help
  2. Thats exactly what I did two weeks ago. I put EGR plate two days before vacation. But everything went fine. I was happy, wife was happy but you never know what can happen. I just want to do it badly and I had friend for help either... whatever you decide I am giving you support. BTW Lenny some guys here keep telling me that I need to turn off EGR function with software, cause EGR valve is still wants to move. So it's electronics parts will die soon or latter. What do you think?
  3. I just did it! I inserted blanking plate with my friend for less then hour. The most difficult part was lifting fuel filter since there was no instructions for it in this guide. After all we try it on the road and I can say it goes much smoother, there's no "delay" or lag when starting. It's much responsive and so far no errors reporting and I hope it wont appear at all. Lenny, thx for great tutorial and see you in next project: removing and remapping DPF, but it will wait after I came back from vacation. Cheers!
  4. Correct me if I'm wrong but with ELM327 software and cable I can remap EGR to not giving me error after EGR blanking?
  5. wow! thx for this long and useful reply.. I will pass DPF removal for now, but I would like to get EGR deleted. Can I get better MPG and improved torque with EGR deletion only?
  6. I walk through full thread and I would like to do EGR blanking and DPF delete but I didn't catch one thing. Can I do DPF mapping by my self or it need to be done by professionals? Does anyone try with resistors on DPF sensor cables?
  7. Wrong Oil?

OK will test this oil for some time...
  8. Wrong Oil?

I was yesterday at the mechanics to replace the oil and filter. He told me that he have Ford oil, not to worry. I thought as I already talked to him before that he has Motorcraft or Ford oil but ... I come back and he gives me rest of a 5L Total Quartz 9000 oil (5W-40). Well, how?! It is this oil: http://www.totaloil.com.au/Pages/content/NT0000C302.pdf Oil is for Citroen, Peugeot, BMW ... but no for Ford and it does not say that it'sunder the specification WSS-M2C913-B, but only ACEA A3/B4, and Ford bible says: If you are unable to find an oil that meets the specification defined by WSS-M2C913-B, you must use SAE 5W-30 (preferred), SAE 5W-40 (except Flexfuel vehicles) or SAE 10W-40 that meets the specification defined by either ACEA A1/B1 (preferred) or ACEA A3/B3. Using these oils can result in longer engine cranking periods, reduced engine performance, reduced fuel economy and increased emission levels. What do you think? Should I remove this oil out and change proper oil?
  9. Ford C-Max Bc Test - Nvm Eeprom Level Fail?

Thx for reply... I will change oil and filter tomorrrow and see how it's going... Considering EGR valve... I see there is way to clean it, I will do that for begining. If that is not good enough will remove EGR valve.
