  2. Dear All, Can anyone advise: I have recently had a new clutch in my Ford Focus TDCI Sport. On Saturday the brake fluid light came on so I topped up the fluid level, I then drove away for the weekend (over 150 miles) with no problems whatsoever. When i arrived at my destination I parked up for about an hour. When i returned to the car and started it up, the Clutch pedal fell to the floor, I managed to pick it off the floor with my foot and the pressure built up and the car went on as normal, i then drove to Tesco's and again the pedal fell to the floor, but this time I could not change gear, but after about 30 seconds it worked fine again. The car was then left standing for 2 days after this and then I drove it back home another 150 miles without any problems except the brake fluid light flashing on again about 30 miles from home. I stopped the car and my brake fluid level has dropped from Max to Min. Is this something the garage has caused when changing the clutch???? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Yogster
  3. Hi, I had my clutch changed on my Ford Focus TDCI Sport twelve mmonths ago, and recently I have noticed a problem where it seems the clutch is slipping. Surely a clutch cannot go in twelve months especially as i drive very carefully and do not wheel spin the car or drive like a boy racer. Does anybody know what warranty is supllied when a clutch is fitted by a garage and does the clutch have a cable that maybe needs tightening or would you say it is defo the clutch gone again? Johann
  4. Ford Focus TDCI Sport

  5. Ford Focus Sport 1.8TDCI

Dear All, I have recently had a new clutch on my Ford Focus Sport 1.8TDCI about a month ago and i had the car serviced about two weeks ago (Oil change, air filter change, fuel filter change and new front brake pads). Over the past couple of weeks my car has seemed to lose power, i am having to change down one more gear to climb hills etc and there is definetely a problem. Also over the weekend i was overtaking a car going up hill so i dropped it down to 3rd gear and booted it and there was a high revving noise which sounded like the clutch was slipping???? Also recently i have noticed a small amount of what looks and smells like oil under my drivers mat in the drivers footwell. Has anyone got any suggestions as to why my car has suddenly lost power as i just don't know where to start? I have to travel a long distance this weekend and i am worried that it won't get there. Johann
