  1. Hey did anybody see watchdog tonight?,thousands of mk 1 focus have a huge problem on the instrument cluster panel.they are failing because of a bad design.guess what.....FORD RECKON THEY HAVEN'T A PROBLEM....HAVE WE NOT HEARD THIS BEFORE?let's keep up and get in touch with watchdog about these coilsprings on the fiesta which is a bigger safety problem than the instrument cluster on the focus.SEEMS TO ME THAT FORD DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION.
  2. Hi twick,GREAT news you should now get both sides done free of charge,PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT BOTH COILSPRINGS ARE REPLACED IT IS REALLY THAT IMPORTANT. TO ALL OTHER FORUM MEMBERS WITH THIS PROBLEM KEEP ON AT YOUR FORD DEALERSHIP AND ALL AFFECTED CARS SHOULD HAVE BOTH COILSPRINGS REPLACED FOR FREE,SLOWLY FORD ARE OWNING UP TO THIS PROBLEM. I would like to say a HUGE THANKYOU to the people who set up this forum as i have no doubt that without this forum maybe alot of people would have not had their cars repaired FOC. storm take notice ,as twick has proven keep going and you will get your car repaired free of charge.
  3. storm,twick,matt1987...any further news on your fiestas?ps ignore the ramblings of zacknolden, obviously a sandwich short of the full picnic.
  4. Storm please contact watchdog again explain the hassle you are having & that they only repaired one side.what they have done is dangerous and puts your life at risk.
  5. hotashel,...did you mean to post something?,cannot see it. TO ALL FORUM MEMBERS,I HAVE JUST CONTACTED WATCHDOG AGAIN PLEADING FOR HELP.I HAVE MENTIONED THE FORUM POSTINGS IN THE HOPE THAT THEY MAY TAKE NOTICE.PLEASE TAKE 5 MINUTES OUT AND CONTACT WATCHDOG,THE MORE PRESSURE WE APPLY,MAYBE JUST MAYBE THEY MIGHT CHAMPION OUR CAUSE.
  6. Look on the outside of your car through the windscreen on the passenger side.right in the corner of the windscreen you will see a number in a little box.cross reference it with all the others given on the suspension warning thread.
  7. Storm,no ,no,, no springs are repaired in pairs.you still have a Faulty spring on the other side that could go ANYTIME,this is totally unacceptable.check out what the other forum members have said & done.FORD ARE BLAGGING THEIR WAY THROUGH ALL THIS WITH NO RESPECT FOR HUMAN LIFE,obviously we are all very disposable to them.WHY IS IT ONE FORD DEALER [mine]KNOWS THE SCORE AND WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE WHEREAS THE DEALER YOU ARE WITH IS GIVING SUB STANDARD SERVICE? who knows maybe they are picking up brownie points for fleecing the public.i urge you to contact watchdog again with your new information.IN FACT IF EVERYBODY ELSE INCLUDED IN THESE POSTINGS VOICES THEIR CONCERNS WITH WATCHDOG SURELY THEY MUST TAKE NOTICE. Storm just be very aware that your car might still be at risk.take care.
  8. Hi spurty.....check your vin number & check out the fiesta suspension warning,YOUR CAR MAY WELL BE AFFECTED.
  9. THAT'S THE WAY TO DO IT.matt1987 is 100% correct,FORD KNOW THEY HAVE THIS PROBLEM,the customer is right.
  10. Hi twick, what you are being told is utter crap, just check the miles you have done [very low mileage]get back onto Ford & let them know about this forum & the amount of cars with exactly the same fault, contact watchdog again.Ford are giving there customers the runaround, what is really !Removed! me off is FORD KNOW ABOUT THIS FAULT.obviously they do not want to be paying out for these repairs & are risking peoples lives its absolutely disgusting don't let them get away with this.
  11. have you checked out what matt1987 has posted it looks like all these cars have the same coilspring fault and FORD KNOW ABOUT!
  12. MY GOD, what a shower of LIARS they are, what they are saying conflicts directly to what i was told by my own Ford dealership & they read that out to me directly from the computer screen.i was also told that if either or both springs failed that BOTH were to be replaced & a special zinc plate put in place.please do not let this stand,i really think the heat is starting to tell.obviously Ford do not want the expense of a recall but to flatly deny the existance of this fault is dreadful.i think the line "as far as he can see" speaks volumes as in he obviously does not want to open his eyes.the memo must have been sent to ALL ford dealerships not just some.please pursue this for both springs & the zinc plates,in fact you could mention that about the plates and watch their faces.
  13. Hi Matt1987,hope i have this right my vin number is WFOHXXWPJH5C67242,hope this helps i found this clearly marked on the passenger side looking in at the corner of the windscreen.
  14. Hi storm....is your car still under warranty?if so they have to do both sides for free as they did with mine.springs are supposed to be good for at least 60000 miles, they know they have a KNOWN fault with these springs, springs are supposed to be changed in pairs.as for the excuse of potholes what a cheap shot that is,they will be asking you to wash the car carefully in case the paint comes off.this allocation time is crap as well,so that means if you are unavailable at those times TOUGH,well that must suit them.what about your daughters car? regards slimfast
