Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Advice Sought Buying New Alloys

    Oh Jesus :D
  2. Advice Sought Buying New Alloys

Thanks for the info guys, very helpful! In short it seems that the option of sticking with the genuine alloys is about peace of mind.
  3. Hi guys, I'm currently looking for some replacement 18" alloys for my facelift Focus ST Mk2. On ebay I find a number of (seemingly reputable) sellers offering ST 'style' alloys for ~400 quid for a set of 4. Also on ebay and elsewhere I find 'genuine' ST alloys for ~200 quid per wheel, so twice the price. I notice there are slight aesthetic differences, but what else can be attributed to the 100% price difference? Are they made from different materials? Are they heavier? Are they liable to having/developing defects? Will they affect the resale price of the car? Thanks in advance for your advice.
