  1. Another sat nav question

hi. i managed to get a wiring loom out of a scrapped titanium x which had the wires so i unpicked them from the connectors and added them to my car.
  2. Another sat nav question

hi. yes it was plug and play i added the 2 wires so the voice on the sat nav works. the cd player i just left in my one that originally came with my car so basically i just added the screen the sony front panel and the 2 wires plus the wire which works the traffic.
  3. Another sat nav question

ive got a 2013 ford focus and i had a screen starting with bm5t. i installed the factory fit sat nav with the screen starting f1bt with no problems at all.
  4. Stereo upgrade?

leave your original stereo in and just change the fascia and the screen it will still work.
  5. that will be the dpf regenerating itself mine does it every couple of weeks on the motorway you should see the temp gauge go up and down for a few minutes until its finished. i use shell v power and its runs better feels quieter and give more mpg.
  6. Ford sat nav fitted

just found this on ebay not sure if its any good for you but they are retrofitting reverse cameras to fords with original screens. ebay item number 122485736415
  7. hi isetta. yes he is doing the whole lot. so its a new cambelt plus idler and tensioner the water pump and also a new drive belt.
  8. hi dave. my cars just gone onto 47000 miles and theres only me that goes in it as i use it for work. i do about 200 miles a week mainly motorway but its the bearings thats gone on the water pump. it sounds exactly like this below so while the cambelt has to come off to fit the new pump its just easier to put a new one on now rather than have to change it again when i hit about 90k.
  9. ive got to get one fitted to my 2013 1.6 tdci focus next tuesday water pump has gone. so for the gates cambelt kit with water pump plus drive belt and he said it takes about 3 hours mines costing £280 which i thought was pretty good. as dave_k says above the kit alone from ford is nearly £220 when you include the vat.
  10. Hill Start Assist Retrofit - Fail

when you have enabled hill start assist you then have to go to ABS and initialise it to get the hill start to work or you will get the lights on the dash. as ian said use focccus its easier activating it with that.
  11. my dad has exactly the same on a ford kuga in deep impact blue. you can see it in direct sunlight its as if its between the paint and the lacquer. he took it to the ford dealer they seen it so they contacted ford about repairing it under warranty and they said no.
  12. Looking for a reversing camera adaptor

You need to change the screen setting with forscan to 5 MFD then it will change back to miles.
  13. Mk3.5 Cruise Control Fitting

to write to the IPC you have to flick the switch to MS-CAN.
  14. Mk2.5 vibrating on idle

i will get some wynns egr cleaner spray then and give it a go and if i see any improvement regarding vibration i might take it off in a few weeks time and give it a damn good clean. i guess i just take the pipe off from the airbox/maf sensor side and just spray straight in?.
  15. Mk2.5 vibrating on idle

hi. ive got a 63 reg 1.6 tdci and mine ran sweet as a nut until i got to about 32k then it developed a vibration. exactly as you say on idle the car shakes really badly through the dashboard the centre console and through the seats etc. the car vibrates when driving (feels like somethings slightly out) i even had it put into fords under warranty and they drew a blank and ive had all kinds of cleaners put through it but it made no difference at all. the car is now on 46k and it still does it so ive sort of learned to live with it but its a bit uncomfortable when your in stop start traffic.
