Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Top speed

Only if you can find a cliff in a vacuum... Veyron is more aerodynamic so nose first would probably still fall faster... But the fiesta might have the go faster stripes on the bonnet. They make all the difference in this real world scenario.
  2. Top speed

According to Newton it would be as fast as a veyron Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  3. Il put money on it being a faulty flux capacitor. Very common on new cars [emoji6] Seriously though I'd rather have the issue now in warranty than it knowing my luck coming on 2 days out of warranty. I'm sure itl likely be a simple fault. If you did have repeated future problems then just refuse the car. If it's in the dealer's more than its on your drive then it's not fit for purpose. I'm sure it won't come to that Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
  4. A puddle of water in the boot

Top brake light seal perishes and water can get in through the boot lock. Open boot and pour some water directly onto the high level brake light from a watering can and see if drips through your boot hatch and comes out through boot lock. Was common problem on mk6. 5. Scratching noise when going over speed bumps

Squeak and grating noise over speed bumps in winter. I'd put my house on it being Anti roll bar bushes. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Headlights

Osram night breakers or Philips xtreme vision I'd imagine will be your best bet. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  7. Headlight is broken...

Can you show me a pic of the broken part.
  8. Headlight is broken...

Can you not get some super strength plastic/bonding adhesive and glue it? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  9. Abs Problem Mk6 1.6 Tdci

Some garages give you a minimum trade in value of £2000 if it's got a valid mot. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  10. Abs Problem Mk6 1.6 Tdci

Second hand module £50 - £100 on eBay. Garage hours labour to remove and hours labour to put back in. Ford an hours labour to code. I rekon about £300 - £400 this way. I kept the cost of mines low because I was able to remove the pump and module myself and reinstall it. Would have been a lot more expensive if it was a garage I was paying. If I were you id trade it In. Most places will only care that its got an MOT Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Ps when u get the ABS light on does your Speedo work? Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  12. Abs Problem Mk6 1.6 Tdci

Sorry Neil for delay in reply. If its the module which is usually confirmed with the fault codes I had above. Then there are three options. 1) new module from ford £800 upwards. 2) remove your own module and send for repair there for eliminating the need for recoding. 3)buy second a hand module and pump and then get ford to code it to your car. The reason I needed to bleed the brakes is I completely removed the electronic module and the ABS pump with are stuck together. I disconnected all the brake lines and sent all away as one complete unit. Youl see its virtually impossible to split the module from the pump whiles its still in situ as is right against the bulkhead and the brake lines are in the way. So when I refittef I had to recconect the brake lines and bleed the air out. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
  13. 55 Reg Fiesta 1.25 ABS warning light intermittent

If you have no Speedo or mileage then itl be the ABS module. The cheapest way for you if you can't remove the module & pump yourself is to pay a mechanic to remove. Send it away for repair and then refit. Read on my thread for the fault codes and see if you have the same. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

Also I bought a £4 Elm327 Bluetooth adapter off eBay and used my android phone and a free app called fordsys. It quickly showed all error codes. Namely the lost communication with ABS module and no vehicle speed sensor Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
