Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Inconsiderate W*****S. Help with paint!

Don't worry too much, its asks you to splodge it over the area on your finger which takes a bit of guts but the blending solution does do its thing and cleans it up. Just take your time and if its deep do it a few times and you should be fine! should help the mark less visible, let me know how you get on :)
  2. No worries, took them when i fitted them to my first fiesta :) makes it easier to see what you would have to do...
  3. Yeah I fitted them myself, not too bad to do makes it easier to take the wheels off so just takes a bit of time and when fitting the flap bolts can be fiddly (was easier second time round). the back ones would be fine not affected from the body as far as i can remember, but the front ones have one screw which goes onto the end cap of skirt as in pic. just found these pics which should help show they they fit
  4. Hi! I've got the performance creations rally flapz ones and been pleased with them. I went for the black in the end and just the PVC and hasn't had an issue with them and used the same set on 2 cars now :) I had them fitted to a red fiesta before and looked good on that too, attached a picture of them.
  5. Inconsiderate W*****S. Help with paint!

I've used ChipEx for fixing general stone chips, (even ones down to the metal) and looking at the picture I recon it's small enough for it. Its a touch up kit but gives a really good results as it blends with the surrounding paint which you can do yourself, just takes patience and a few applications normally! They also matched the colour for my car (use reg plate) and I can hardly notice where it was unlike normal touch up paint. Just an option to consider :)
  6. Fiesta st actual mpg

I've had both a zetec s (125ps though so longer gears) and now have the ST, as said above really depends how its driven but i used to get 48 average out of the zs and currently 42 in the st on similar sort of driving(~50% motorway). The MPG hit isn't as bad as I thought it would be in comparison and in my opinion it's well worth it!
  7. Modifying Fiesta Std. 1.0 Airbox

At one point I did look at doing something similar with modifying the standard air box but gave it a miss in the end and got a mountune one (cheaper off Ebay). As Will said above not sure where to take the cold air feed from, mountune and ST200 boxes have similar design which takes it from the bottom but have the shorter box design. I avoided that on the standard box just because the pipe would be too low to the road for my liking, would have to come from slightly higher up. Don't know if you have a high flow filter but they would also help and are fairly reasonable cost. :)
  8. Fiesta ST tapping/ticking at idle

I drive mine the opposite to that haha, love the car! Let it warm up where possible first and idle after a drive. Just odd can't work out what the cause seems to be or what to do about it
  9. Fiesta ST tapping/ticking at idle

Yeah I know right! not sounding that healthy, the warranty is a good thing just as long as something isn't gradually wearing out which goes just after that ends. That would be just my luck!
  10. Fiesta ST tapping/ticking at idle

Hi Guys, I've got an issue with my Fiesta ST 16 plate where there is a tapping/ticking noise at idle but only when the engine is hot (see video). I've took a couple of months ago to a dealer and they say it is an issue and they have reported it but there was no fix. I've done some research and seen that a oil change to a different spec was a fix, i went back to the dealer with this info and they said that fix has now been withdrawn and there currently isn't one but being investigated. I was wondering whether anyone else has had this issue and what fixes have been done, and what the cause might be. Not sure what to do next as the noise doesn't seem to be getting any better! Any suggestions will be great! Thanks all
  11. looking for mud flaps for zetec s

They have a bracket which uses self tapping screws into the wheel arch lining, then plastic nuts and bolts to hold the flap to the bracket. The rears are a similar process to the fronts pictured but require a couple of factory clips to be removed and replaced. They will come with a step by step guide on how to do it, just have to make sure you bend the brackets for opposite sides of the car correctly.
  12. looking for mud flaps for zetec s

I have fitted rallyflapz by performance creations on my zetec S, been really pleased with them. They also come with really clear instructions to fit which helps! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mud-Flaps-to-fit-FORD-FIESTA-ZETEC-S-2013-on-Mudflaps-rallyflapZ-Black-3mm-PVC/151467935471?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140122125356%26meid%3D577b33f97d0b4a9f9b84e307c2963dd0%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D6%26sd%3D181796949392
