  1. Can anyone help? the problem is it keeps stopping in different places, on intermittent, on washer it will sweep 3 times then stop in the wrong place, I have changed the wiper motor, checked fuses + relays 18 19, the wiring looks all ok and the arm is all good too! is there anything else I can check or has anyone had the same problem, the car is a 2003 focus estate. Cheers
  2. Hi, all. Just had a clutch fitted to my mk2 1.8 diesel mondeo, but as my mate fitted it on his own he refitted the steering uv joint slightly off centre, he did say it may be a little out when i drive it home, he couldn't road test himself as he's got a ban at the mo, the car drives straight so its only the wheel that has gone back prob one tooth out on the shaft. Can I sort this my self on the driveway or does the car need to go up on ramps?
  3. Hi all, Just a quick Q. my mk2 mondeo has had the 12v battery disconnected from the car for about a week, as I've had diesel pump problems (drive pulley snapped off the pump) its off to be fixed in a day or two, but i'm wondering, will the key still work ok as the battery was off for a long time, I've lost the master key and only have the key with the remote buttons on it which worked just fine before it broke down. I'm hoping that the car doesn't need the fobs resetting or something !
  4. I need to know how to set on my mondeo 1.8 TD T reg (1999) Top Dead Centre, are there any marks to line up? I've got to take the diesel pump off.
  5. Hi I would have to say that they checked the relays as the garge i took it to are well clued up on mondeos, they told me either the shaft inside the pump has broken or the immobiliser shut off thing inside is the prob. any which way , its got to come off the car!
  6. Hello, I've a problem with my TD 1.8 1999 Mondeo, it just stopped for no reason and without warning, its been to a diesel specialist and all they said its the pump thats the problem but they need to look at it off the car to see if it can be repaired, as they want charge 2 hours @ £50 an hour just to get it off, and perhaps tell me that the car may as well be scraped because of the costs involved , i thought i may have go at removing the pump myself then getting the specialist to check it. so my Q is how hard is it to remove the pump from the car? its a lucas pump be the way. many thanks for taking the time to read this.
