Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. It may take away some asphetics of your car but it might be worth investing in a dash can that records GPS and your speed. I know in this case you were going a little over, but given their attitude they probably would have pulled you anyway. At least that way you have video evidence rather than just your word against theirs. Though there's been a few times with family and friends where other people have spoke in court against the police but you can't win if it's the officers friend that's the judge.
  2. Ford mk7 to 7.5 front conversion

I was looking into this before, this video seemed to be pretty informative, not got around to doing it myself though...
  3. Hello All...

Hi everyone, Im Liam. Ive been a member of the forum for a while but never used it. Since i passed my test ive been driving a 2007 Focus (sad to see it go). Recently just up/downgraded to a 2011 Fiesta because its a lot cheaper to run and insure :). hope to stick around for a while as ill have alot of questions as im planing on modding my fiesta in the coming years with a few cosmetics and later on probably some performance mods too.
  4. Just asking to see if anybody has any experience or knowledge. I recently bought a Ford fiesta mk 7: As you can see, there is too much red.... I am thinking of changing the interior displays and lights to the newer blue colours from the new model fiestas but im not very great with the retro fit stuff or anything like that so i wanted to know if there was an easy way/ if the newer parts are compatible. my dash is similar to this one: but I want to change it over to this one: Is this possible to do without breaking or changing too much stuff or is this an impossible mod? thanks in advance.
  5. Bumper sticking out a tad

well this was the original ebay listing http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2011-FORD-FIESTA-ZETEC-TDCI-70-RED-20-00-A-YEAR-ROAD-TAX-/232168482855?_trksid=p2047675.l2557&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&nma=true&si=YdEhCmhGGYsAxXe1vb1bGKuAJXE%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=nc , all i can do is hope i can get some sort of compensation out of it, if not as others have said, ill just have to let this be a learning experience and watch out next time. yea i know, just gotta watch out for these people next time. all seems well on the car other than those described so i hope nothing goes wrong in the coming weeks as i dont use it that much. When we took the car out for a test drive we mentioned the bumper sticking out and asked about if it had any history or had been in an accident as online many cars are registered cat D, he told us to rest assured that the car had not been registered as a CAT or had any unrecorded work done on it so I hope he was telling the truth on that part but who knows. im planning on fitting a tow bar onto the back for my bikes in the coming months so we shall see what its like underneath then. Yea i understand i should have gone into it with a bit more backbone been aware of these sorts of things but yea, i shall take it as a learning experience. Im going to speak to citizens advice and get their view on the case and see how it goes from there, we have new locking nuts fitted that cost £50 for the old ones removed and new ones put on so hopfully ill be able to get some of that cost covered by the trader but who knows, if they think I have a solid case then I may pursue it but currently im still somewhat happy with the car, ill just have to be more careful next time. I appreciate all the support and responses received :) if anything escalates ill be sure to update
  6. Poll on Fiesta Mk7 Colour Choice

I really wanted the white but the only colour that was available to me was the standard red, it had chrome trim so it does look really nice, just a shame since white looks so nice, although it does look better on the newer models that have the blue lights inside instead of read. now thats nice!
  7. Bumper sticking out a tad

It was a trader, the car has a missing locking nut and the locking nut missing on the front passenger side, we messaged him and hes blanking us, when we did get ahold of him he said if we pay the full price since we got £100 of the asking price he will do it, so im getting it into a garage to day and we have contacted citizens advice on where we stand now as hes not cooperating
  8. Bumper sticking out a tad

Thank you very much, will try this out when im home next, Much appreciated!
  9. Bumper sticking out a tad

Hi people, new here so sorry if this is in the wrong place! Just bought a Used Ford Fiesta Zetec 2011, was raining when i bought it so the paint didn’t really notice as much when I looked around the car so not that happy about the paintwork in the image as the car was advertised as "in showroom condition" however this isn’t what im making this topic about.... Could anybody help, when I bought this car the bumper join is as appears in the image, sticking out a little, although this is minor, its very annoying and ruins the aesthetic of the car. does anybody know how to push it in or get it to line up properly with the other part of the bodywork? thanks
