Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

    '58 Ford Focus 1.8 Petrol
  1. My new focus 1.8 Zetec does the same thing. Especially when you've got a cars full. Acceleration is jerky between 2000-3000. It's only 8 months old. What could be wrong with it?
  2. I've got the 1.8. And I'm getting, according to the computer, 31mpg. I'm meant to be getting 28 according to most sites. Your 1.6 should be doing better than mine shouldn't it as I have the bigger engine and extra power?
  3. NEW ford KA

They should stick a 2.0 in the new KA. Be a bit sporty.
  4. New Focus - diesel vs. petrol

I've got the 1.8 Petrol. 125bhp. New focus. 58 plate. Amazing power but CRAP on fuel. Mine's doing around 20MPG around town. And that's economy drive. Highest gear possible without labouring the engine. But Cardiff is a busy town so... that could be the problem. Motorway it's AMAZING if you keep it at 70 or under. But town is a no go for the petrols. The 1.6 will be a bit better, but not much, the 2.0 may be worse. Get a diesel. 1.8 diesel maybe your best bet.
