Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Getting under the fiesta!

@Luke4efc its just the itg induction kit for the 1.0 ecoboost, but its a little tricky coz the filter itselfs fits right under the headlamp so you need to unmount this, remove the old airbox filter, etc. And there is this small little black box thats right next to the washer deposit. Its in the middle of the induction kit setting so you just have to relocate it. No pics right not mate, sorry. @zain611 no mate. My friends are not into cars, and the one guy i know is an oldie toyota, that doesnt like modern cars, neither “helps” a lot lol, its sad... @auldreekie hmmm i could try this. I already tried on a curb. The thing is that the front of the fiesta is so low... that there is hardly any place to be able to work. Thanks to all for your answers! ive spoken to a mechanic friend too, that has elevator, if i cant do anything about it ill have to go to him... :( at least the job will be done proper and securely
  2. Getting under the fiesta!

Hi everyone! I finally bought an induction kit for my fiesta. I chose the ITG from all, i feel its one of the best options. Ive been trying to install it but it is a real pain in the as*. Where the filter itself sits, there is a damn black box, that has to be relocated, but this ***** box has to mounting screws, one on top, and the other one on the bottom... that means, that you have to unscrew it from under the car and i don't know how to get there... Whats the best idea for this? i got a jack but i don't trust it, plus the jack its for swapping wheels...not going under the car. I was thinking of parking the car on a curb... not sure of what to do. Just need to remove this screw and im done! Thanks!
  3. Help with SYNC Bluetooth issues

I had some issues too with bluetooth sync. It used to connect automatically when i switched on my bluetooth and now it was connecting but with problems, or simply not connecting saying that no bluetooth device found. So i figured out that the name of my iphone paired with sync was different than the actual name. Maybe i modified it and didnt remember. The thing is, check in iphone settings that your iphone device name is the same as paired in the bluetooth sync. If not, delete all configuracion from sync and from iphone and start a new pair and it shud get the new name and work! good luck!
  4. Going for an air intake!

@Marcr1 i would like to find a video of the mountune one, coz it seems to be the "best" one as it maintains a filter box style. @v530anh so sorry to hear that friend.
  5. Going for an air intake!

Well forge one is interesting as they claim that it gives more sound from the recirc valve... hmmmmm interesting
  6. Going for an air intake!

I dont think so. Coz many of us like the feel and sound of a car like u said subaru, nissan, bmw m, etc... but cant afford it or its not easy to maintain... so this fiesta 1.0 ecoboost is much cheaper to maintain and can make it kinda of sporty car so why not? Its personal choice, i feel calling them moron just coz ur opinion is alike makes u a moron ? 🤣 Anyways thanks for your reply, at least we know it doesnt improve performance.
  7. Going for an air intake!

Hi all! my next mod wants to be an air intake. The problem is i have been reading and reading since weeks and veeeryy confused. First, im not even sure if its good to change the OEM air filter, and if it really gives performance. Then, they are sooo many in market that i dont know which to go for. I have been looking at graham goode, j1, AS, ITG, etc... actually more then an agressive sound im kinda looking at one that gives me more blow off sound (as i got the turbosmart bov installed). And for last! It seems like the best one out its the r-sport stage 3? This one: http://www.pumaspeed.co.uk/product-Fiesta-10-Ecoboost-Stage-3-Full-Induction-Kit_16822.jsp cheers!!
  8. New Fiesta, whos got one?

The front is almost the same, the back is ugly as *****! Sorry its just my opinion... each time newer cars are getting uglier... sad. That, or is it me that im in love with 80-90s cars! Saluti!
  9. Tyres for stock alloy

Thanks @CyprusPluto for your great explanation. I think ill go for the michelin ones, i have spoke to few friends of mine and also recommend me this one. And the difference pricewise is very little. My driving is normal, mainly city, and very little highway. Some times i do the toreto lmao, but normal, relaxed driving. Thanks to everyone for your help!
  10. Tyres for stock alloy

Thanks everyone for your replies! I forgot to mention that i live in paradise! Lol, i mean there is no winter here! It hardly rains, and mostly always sunny and good weather. I will be changing the 4 tyres, that means can i change the width and the profile? And if i can, which is recommended for my car? thanks to everyone again!
  11. Tyres for stock alloy

I have three options available: - hankook (k112 or k115) - pirelli pzero nero - michelin pilot sport 3 looks like hankook is quite good for price/quality.
  12. Tyres for stock alloy

Hi to all! I have searched quite a bit but still nothing clear for me. First of all, i have never changed the tyres since i bought the car (2014), only one in front because it bursted. Anyways, i think its time to change all 4, already done 65.000KM!! and i feel the car very shaky after 120km/h and also while turning around. Right now, they are stock alloy and tyres; Continental contact sport 5, 205/40 R17 84V XL My question is, can i mount any different tyre? i mean, any R17 tyre? or its better to maintain the same profile, etc... and which one is recommended? by now, i have been offered michelin pilot sport 3, but i find it too expensive. Thanks!
  13. Best remap for 2014 Titanium 1.0 125 Ecoboost

Hi! As far im concerned, i did a lot of research before remapping mine with bluefin (super chips). And, by the grace of God i still haven't faced any serious issues. Maybe just a coil pack and spark plugs, that Ford changed for me in warranty. My experience with it its good, have it since February and going good. Also, you have to keep in mind that we own a 1.0, so going Toreto mood everyday is not good too for our engines. Cheers!
  14. Hi! As i said in a previous thread, i finally installed the turbosmart Dual Port Valve. I found the installation quite confusing for me so i let a good mechanic friend of mine to do the job. When it was done, we test drive it. Here is the impressions... 1.- If you drive very slowly and calmly, uncle-mod, you will feel you haven't changed anything. 2.- If you drive happy (revving up to 2.500-3.000) and shifting, then it will make a weird sound like a ¿pigeon? (ill come back to this) 3.- If you run fast! here the sound comes. Sounds like an EVO! nice and clear Swoosh sound. Im very happy with it, i haven't noticed loss in power, nor nothing similar. Coming back to the 2 point, its the only thing worrying me a little. I don't know wether its the valve making that sound coz as im not really flowing air into the turbo, so its like open-close-open-close making that funny noise (this is what the mechanic of mine said), or its the air going backward into the turbo and stopping the spool... this is what i don't want! any ideas, helps? Also, my friend advised me to change the air intake, coz the valve itself its quite hidden so by changing the air induction it will become much louder. Don't know about this... Thanks!
  15. Dump valve or induction kit?

I think ill first be going for a induction kit, and then i can add this valve... its a better idea i feel. But they are so many induction kits that i dont know wich to get! Any suggestions? Apart from mountune ? thanks everyone for your help! :D
