Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Fiesta Mk7 leaking boot

Had the roof channels sealed just before Christmas, along with other areas which they thought might be the problem. Two weeks ago boot was wet again!! I dont think it is as wet as before but was still wet. Waiting for dealer to arrange for car to go back in again. This will be the third time. However its pointless if they don't know what the problem is. Sealing willy nilly is not the answer. Am now in complete despair.

  5. Fiesta Mk7 leaking boot

The boot has two small arches either side of them anyway they did'nt make any changes to these. Boot looks exactly the same and unfortunately still wet! Did they tell you where the leak was and how they repaired it?

Took your advice, contacted Ford customer service this morning and got a case number from them. Car is now back in with dealer/garage. We also put everything in writing to Ford and a copy to garage, car won't be back today but maybe tomorrow!! I live in hope!
  8. Fiesta Mk7 leaking boot

That would be great, many thanks, so far the dealer has looked at the roof joints, they have done some sealing there and also replaced the boot seal but it has'nt worked. Going back into dealer tomorrow if I get any joy I will let you know. I was also told, once I make them aware of the problem it is covered by warranty until it is fixed !!
