  1. Problems with power to the radio

Ok, did you buy a steering control adaptor ? As it's all canbus controlled it may need to see a power signal from the stalk. As I'm on tapatalk can't see your profile, what model & year is the car Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  2. Problems with power to the radio

Are you using a loom adaptor or wiring direct ? Some radios require a slight change to the loom to get power depending on brand and car etc. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  3. Blew a dipped bulb the other day and fuse 143 was toast, changed bulbs and fuse, ran a fault code check and brought back a generic u1900. Then drove a while later noticed the clock date and temp were all out, Managed to reset the clock and c°/f° out but the date won't go past 2014 ? Only other thing I've done this week is had the stereo out could this be it ? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

  5. Focus 1.6 Zetec first timer help

I'm new to my car too and mine sounds a bit rattley till it warms up properly it was serviced before i got it but next oil change i'll put a brand in i've used in my scoob which made it run a bit smoother , i also have the knocking on the left side, i'm putting it down to warn lower arm bushes, oh and it doesnt like going into reverse much either so i'd say these arent unique Sent from my SM-T210 using Tapatalk
  6. Energy Supplier (Gas and elec)

i'm with 1st utility for both. I was paying 70 a month for combimed then last nov i'd accrued so much credit they dropped it to £30 ppm and I was able to heat &light the whole house pretty much none stop all winter and we were still in credit by the end of Jan Customer service is fairly good too Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  7. Turbo uderboost help

Have you checked all your connections & hose clips are tight as even a slightly loose clip will gradually work loose Check your wastgate actuator it could be sticking open, Boost solenoid could also be at fault, not worked on ford turbo units so not exactly sure what the setup is like but does sound like large leak somewhere, Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  8. Drilling a hole through the dash

Fuse box under the glove box, just tap into it with this Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. Focus Cambelt Damage

Was the belt change during your ownership ? As that one looks alot older than two years Either that or it's not been aligned properly as there looks to be alot of wear on it Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. Drilling a hole through the dash

Cheers for the heads up I ran out of time today to do any more so I'll have a look in the morning Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Drilling a hole through the dash

I have this on my desk at work, was gonna hard wire the van one but never got round to it, So the plan is the 12v adaptor plug has a 10amp fuse but too long so i'm Going to cut down the wiring and solder & shrink wrap the piggy back 10amp fuse on attach to spare ign live fuse spot, then run it underneath the glove box, I've already 're routed the cam cabling behind the door weather strip and poked it through to glove box 🖒 then hopefully will be a case of plugging in and job jobbed ! 12. Drilling a hole through the dash

Thanks for the replies, It was my dad's car before I took ownership so he's stuck some tiny hooks down the side of the a pillar and window which is a bit annoying as makes access to the a post a bit fiddly, they seem to be welded onto the glass [emoji23] If I'm not too busy at work today I'll have a little look at removing the door seal. @tangodaz it's a garmin cam so needs to have the 12v socket on it to work. Don't know why they've done it that way but the one in my van is the same Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  13. Wanting to hardware my dash cam however being a garmin one I've had to buy a 12v plug, so the live side is going into an add a circuit fuse into the passenger side fuse box, and the bag will be attached to a suitable point on the chassis, I don't really want to have it round the door jamb and under the glove box I'd rather go a more direct route and put a small hole in the top of the front part of the dash or a pillar trim and down, What's under the front n/s dash area I should be aware of before I get busy, Don't really want to hit some of the loom or the interior structure Mk2.5 focus Thanks Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  14. Interior lights/12v fuse

Thanks for clearing that up I was sort of scratching my head and wondering what was going on Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. Right after alot of arseing around this morning trying to replace the fuse does anyone know what fuse should be there and is the manual really hopeless ? This is on a mk8 custom 1st off the manual didn t state there's 4 fuse boxes only 3 and it said the location of the fuse was 47/48 and a 20amp fuse, After alot of swearing and cut arms managed to locate the offending blown fuse in f25 on the left-hand side box on the drivers side (according to the manual is unused location ) and it was rated at 7.5 not 20. So has anyone else had similar problems and what is the correct fuse to put in ?. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
