Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. poor sound quality from aux input on 6000cd

When I was looking to purchase a Bluetooth audio receiver that would connect to aux in in my cd6000, I went after the recommendation I've found online and bought a ground loop isolator to go with it, one of these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01LYYRT7M?psc=1 I have to say that it has eliminated any strange buzzing and noises. Perhaps it would help you, too. It's rather small (looks much bigger on a photograph). Worth a try?
  2. Hello everyone, I'd like to change the cd6000 stereo to a single din unit. I don't need the Android-powered double din unit, and I'd be looking to buy something that sounds better and plays MP3 files from a USB stick. Bluetooth would be nice, too, and a CD player. There are many options out there so I reckon I will find something that sounds much better than the original unit and doesn't break the bank (any recommendations btw?). I understand that I will have to purchase a kit that'd allow me to connect everything properly. I've found this: https://www.dynamicsounds.co.uk/ford-focus-2007-car-cd-stereo-fitting-kit-fascia-panel-stalk-control-silver.html and it looks ok I guess, however the question I have is related to a simple thing: how will the single din unit stay in place in this? Is there some kind of a metal frame needed to hold it that I'd have to purchase separately? Can't find any note of this anywhere (might be just the lack of coffee at this time of the day). Thoughts? Thanks, Wojtek
