  1. Definitive answer if possible regarding plug gap

not any more I'm afraid my 1.8 had 1.3mm pregapped plugs I was told in the service they were wrong and gapped to 1.0 mm theres a tsb for it that they showed me ford also revised the 1.8 to 1.0mm and the 2.0 also to 1.0mm the 1.6 and 1.8 still stands the 2.0 may still be revised
  2. C Max Mk 3 Engine changed

u codes indicate a can bus error which can be faulty sensor faulty wiring etc it would be best to clear the codes before trying to restart also have you checked the fuel pump switch a round button on the drivers side footwell panel next to the accelerator you'll see a round hole with a red bilutton in it
  3. Definitive answer if possible regarding plug gap

    1.6 and 1.8 petrol is 1.0mm the 2.0 is 1.3mm
  4. Mk1 revs slow to drop

may need a pcm update from ford there was issues with hanging revs that were fixed with an update
  5. Ford Focus mk2.5 jacking/stand points

cant really miss the jacking point its indented and reinforced anywhere else is a risk
  6. Ford Focus 1.4 ZETEC - possibly ECU problem?

shouldn't have lost the codes the problem is it could be a few things and only the fault codes will help pats flashing suggests a key issue or fault in the immobiliser system but at the same time a cluster fault will give a pats key and fault if you plug a code reader in you'll be able to clear the code and the car will start
  7. paint match

the paints still fresh it will tone down but on the focus the bumpers are always a slight different colour tonic blue and silver are the worst
  8. Help choosing Wind Deflectors

all previous ford team heko new car team heko climair charge twice the price for the same product
  9. Pulling my hair out

you need the car looked at it could be a vct issue timing issue cluster issue ecu diode issue fuel pump injector etc only live data will help
  10. paint match

paint codes are only half the issue in the factory there are many variations of one paint code its not always identical then you have weathering a proper paint match requires the code then the mixer will use swatches of painted metal against the car to determine the exact colour you now have and mix accordingly so its the correct paint code but weathering and she wasn't taken into account
  11. Cracked bumper

new plastic welding kits aren't that dear now makes repairing it easy to do yourself I got one its great for so many things
  12. Bluefin Superchips worth it?

it will put more torque through the gearbox but not any more than it could handle bluefin remaps are car specific not some random universal box so they wont damage the car .all manufacturers map the car for emission and economy all the remap does is rewrite these still within the safe parameters but not set so conservatively..lumpiness can be many things a good service is a start air filter oil and filter new diesel filter before looking at more expensive parts
  13. Focus Mk2: Engine temperature isn't constant

a new pressure cap costs a tenner and should be renewed every 3 years I always start there first as its always over looked if that doesn't cure it then there's a leak somewhere so its time to check every hose and clamp
  14. Question regarding back box?

its a mk2.5 the exhaust is a one piece affair but it can be cut and a new piece fitted if need be the gangers are awful they just rot away eventually till that happens I wouldn't bother replacing it it'll just rust again unless you get a stainless steel system for now apply some kurust to it then some barbecue paint if you want buy a cheap chrome tip from ebay
  15. Making my Focus sound a bit more 'Throaty'

simple induction filter would be the easiest way if routed to just begin the headlight with a heat shield it will be fine then simply route a cold air feed from lower grill to it other than that its time to look at the exhaust
