  1. hi there. I have a mk4 fiesta, 1.3 endura engined beastie that ive recently had to do some work on. The problem is - after putting it all back together, i couldnt remember wether the alternator main wire ran to the starter motor ( the top connection of the solenoid), or direct to the battery terminal? Can anyone help? The haynes manual shows the wire running to both(!), so that wasnt much help. on a side note, i had one side the car jacked up the other day and started the engine, and i noticed the wheel of the side that was off the ground was spinning slowly, even though it was in nuetral. has anyone come across this before? thanks in advance to any help or advice
