  1. Got the same problem mate. I tried something from the Audio Manual and it did not work. It said to adjust the AVS setting in the Menu. As i said, i tried it and it did not work. Try this for yourself and let us know how you get on.
  2. Try 7554
  3. I think you'll find it only shows basic info like Track Number, Time played etc. Other members please correct me if i'm wrong because this is all mine does also and i would love more.
  4. If you press and hold the MENU button, you will get some options to choose. I believe you can SCAN or MANUAL search stations and then save them. And as for reception and station loss, try the Auto Frequency settings(AF-on, AF-off, AF-auto). I dont have the Sony stereo in mine, i have the Ford but my manual gives this info for Sony units. Hope this helps.
  5. Yes this is true of MW but in my old 1998 Escort with an older 6000cd in the reception was much clearer. I listen to MW for the Football coverage (Radio 5 & Talksport). It is just so crackerly now and i was hoping to improve it ? Is there a Signal Booster ? Anyone ? Thanks.
  6. Thought it was dark ! When i open my Boot (Focus 05 reg), no light comes on. Turns out there's no Bulb in the Holder. Does anyone know the part # or size of the Bulb i need please ? Thanks.
  7. Cleaned the Earths and their contacts, no better though. Does anyone know where the Booster/Signal Amp is please ?
  8. Today i removed the radio with my new keys and all seemed well. Blew out the aerial lead and socket but no better. Is there a booster for the signal ? Could this be the prob ?
  9. Tried it, Liked it. Nice little trick there, thanks. 2 things ? On my LED Test, the Frost light(*) flashes from amber to red while the others stay stable. Is this right ? and i have 1 DTC Code - D900, any ideas what this is or is related to please. Thanks
  10. Might simply be the PAS Belt under strain. I believe that it winds around many pullys ( Waterpump, pas, etc). I had a 98 escort which did the same and my mechanic friend said it was the belt and it needed changing. Sold it before i did so can't say if true or not ? Hope this helps a little.
  11. Hello Sorry if this has been covered before but i'm a Newbie. I have just got a 05 Focus Zetec. It has a Ford 6000 CD Stereo in it. My problem is this. When i listen to MW, there is background interference like an old radio would give you (Buzzing, crackling etc). It gets worse when i am revving the engine or driving along (as i speed up, the noises get louder) ! I have read that this stereo has a signal booster? Is this true and if so, where is it ? Or could it simply be the aerial (which seems glued on tight) ? If i need to remove the stereo to sort these annoying noise's, i do have the 4 Removal keys. By the way, FM is fine. Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks Danny.
  12. Excellent post. Will definetly try in the morning. I found a short list of common codes that might be handy. http://www.x431ltd.co.uk/website/trouble%2...abase/ford.html
  13. So mintalkin, do i need to re-route the earth or is this too drastic ?
