  1. hi there' just to let you know that i have had the fault rectified. it turned to be the heater resistor part number 3s7h19e624ab . had it done at local auto-elecs , had to buy secondhand one from e-bay £26 as ford wont sell it on its own, they wanted £256 for a full blower fan sooty
  2. hello don, you have the same fault as mine, except the blower to the quick clear windscreen is blowning at full speed . cant find a blown fuse so far, would be interested to find out what your repair was dsuter

  4. hi all, because my car has heating problems i have to remove the radio in order to get out the digital climate control (so the hatnes manual tells me) when i replace the radio (i know the code ) how do i re-programme it?? also the book says that i have to have special tools (supplied with car when new) to remove radio , i do not have them. can anyone tell me if this is correct and where can i get them from. i have been told that ford will not stock them. thanks sooty
  5. HELLO ALL, MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL. NOW FOR THE PROBLEM-- WHEN IGNITION FIRST TURNED ON, WITH DIGITAL SET TO ANY TEMP THEN heater FAN STARTS TO BLOW BUT STOPS AFTER 2/3 SECONDS. IF I PRESS SWITCH FOR INSTANT HEAT FAN DOES NOT START. IF I SWITCH IT to manual operation it still only runs for 2/3 seconds. am driving around wearing coat and hat freezing in car.

  8. hi all sooty here, strange happening the other day --driving along smooth no problems , the glow plug light flashes vehicle shudders. doing just over forty mph and this lasted no more than one second. have in past (six months ago) cleaned out all the carbon in the egr valve as per instruction to be found in this forum. car is still running fine , but as i am going to spain in it , just a bit worried. any thoughts people sooty
  9. Heated windscreen and seats
