Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Newbie

Hi Everyone!!! Just bought myself a red edition 140 fiesta over the weekend and been waiting all week to get it. I will be picking it up tomorrow afternoon Got some serious stuff planned but can't do too much yet to affect insurance as only 17. Pictures to come..
  2. Anyone able to advise on the removal of a damaged sump, and subsequent fitting of a new replacement on a 2015 Fiesta 1.0T (140)? Looks like the exhaust may foul any straight-forward removal of the existing casing?
  3. Hi bit of a newbie here, iv been driving a Ford fiesta Zetec 82bhp 16 plate as my first car for a year now and last weekend i ordered the black edition going to 140bhp (excited is a understatement), and would like to do cosmetic mods and some on the inside, would like to think about performance mods but being 18 years old insurance is going to set me back enough as it is. My plans are: -Changing all the lights with CEUK (Car Enhancement UK) Full car kit, if anyone recommend which package as there are two for the MK7.5 Black/Red Edition -TRC Front splitter -Zun Sport Grill, upper and lower -Climair Wind deflectors -Windscreen sunstrip -Gel overlays -Gear Lever knob with illuminated gear shift pattern -Brodit phone holder -(Unsure opinions needed on this one) RimBlades -Red windscreen jet wash -kenwood underseat sub Would like to hear opinions or what you have done to yours Thanks Dan
  4. Just saying Hello! I've always been German inclined until I bought my Fiesta. Best car I've ever driven! Aggressive looking with a nice bit of power, it's great fun to drive. Thanks!

  7. Accidental New Owner

Hi All, I wanted to test drive a new red or black edition... just to see how it compared to my 150bhp diesel astra, as i wanted a new car in a few months time I was in luck... I managed to find the only dealer within about 20 miles that had one available for a drive. It had just come off the lorry, with 13 miles on the clock Long story short, i'll be picking it up in a couple of weeks and i cant wait! Sure it doesn't have the torque to pull like the astra, but it really didn't feel slow in comparison at all. It's a lot perkier though... just begging to be thrown into corners. Here's a few pics...
  8. Hi I'm new to the forum so be nice lol, Just orderd my new red edition and will be picking it up on Monday/Tuesday!!!! Dealer told me it's the new "16" model and has drl's and new rear lights, along with a colour screen and a new net pocket!!(didn't get that one). Can anyone shed any light on this or even better have any pictures of the new changes? Cheers
  9. Hi. I have a Mondeo titanium tdci 140 & recently there is a whistling sound coming from what sounds like the engine. If you dip the clutch & rev it's pitch rises with the engine revs. I believe it's coming from my power steering so I took it to the garage where they replaced the PS pump, but when I picked it up it was exactly the same. So they ordered a replacement pump & that also made the same sound. They told it was my steering rack & as mine is a 57 plate that there was a recall on a certain year bracket (Mine falling inside of that). But I can't find anything relating to Ford recalling certain models that have this problem. I did first notice a loss of power steering a month or 2 ago but only for a split second, so i'm convinced it's from the steering rack. The steering hums slightly when turning & when I turn the engine off there is a whining / whirring sound for a few seconds from under the bonnet (I assume the steering). It's very noisy & embarrassing to drive, it's very bad when I stop & then reverse as well. I've only owned the car a few months & hardly drive it & so far I've spent more money on repairs than insurance & fuel.......... GRRrrrrrrr Any advice would be really appreciated. Mike
  10. Few pictures of my Mondeo picked it up from our dealer in Shetland 3 weeks ago 33 miles on the clock, only went in to get my Mk3 focus sat nav looked at and came out with this. Great family car and great fun to drive. After some serious cleaning the colour really looks nice .
