      it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. HI, my name is Del. I have a 2010 Kuga 2l Titanium tdci 4x4. Love this but need something bigger for work. Was thinking a S-Max 2.5T 06/07 for about 3 to 4 grand. Looking at the Mondeo, it comes with many extra features, eg. Keyless Entry and Lane Departure Warning. My thoughts are....... from a lucky position of having a few friends who are dismantlers and purchase crashed cars as donor cars.......... What could it take from other Fords to upgrade and 06/08 S-Max A few things I`ve thought of.... Keyless Entry Start Button Lane Departure Warning Front Full Electric / Full Leather / Heated and cooled Seats Convers+ updrage Some feed back would be so cool......thanks
  2. Hello everyone, First off, the reason im posting in this neck of the woods regarding an S-Max is because you lot have the Focus ST/RS 2.5 which has pretty much the same engine, just more toys. I'm planning to purchase an S-Max in the coming months and mod it past the 300+bhp mark, maybe even 400 if my pockets are deep enough, while making the car look somewhat standard (little touches here and there). To achieve the 300 mark, this is what i have planned: Celtic tuning remap. Brings power/torque up from 217bhp/239lbft to 278bhp/315lbft RS clutch upgrade: DMF, pressure plate, clutch, throwout/release bearing AIRTEC intercooler Scorpion turbo back decat/200 cell cat exhaust or custom, not decided yet. Air filter of some sort/ CAIS inlet plenum maybe? new LSD Uprated injectors block mod bigger brakes 355mm< discs and 6/8 pot calipers (front) Forged engine (rods, liners, pistons etc.) uprated turbo Turbosmart e-boost 2 boost controller estimated figure after all mods completed: 340-370bhp and around 400lbft torque What else would anyone say i need/recommend?   4. Hello All This is my first post here. I've recently bought a 07 Ford Mondeo 2.5t Ghia Hatchback, previously had a Ford Puma 1.7 Thunder but was a member of a Puma specific forum for advice on that. I've had the car for about a week and it's developed intermittent power loss when accelerating. Not really sure of the pattern when it happens but it's done it 3 out of my last 6 journeys at various times after starting. Doing some forum searches the place I was going to start is with the fuel pressure sensor. I've struggled to find this part for sale anywhere but i've noticed the part in my car is printed with the Bosch and Volvo logo. Does anyone know if the Volvo part is a straight fit? Is there also a Land Rover part that fits as they tend to be quite cheap in the UK at least? Thanks very much for your help tedwards26
  5. Hi All, need to know if I am doing something sensible here or has anyone got any input! I currently have a 54 Reg Vectra SRI 1.9cdti 120bhp. Now, it is slowly falling apart around me and I have seen the above 08 2.5t Titanium X. it looks fantastic and Im loving the idea of 220bhp to play with. The question is, how much of a mistake is this considering the running costs of this bad boy! Tax for 6months is around £60 more expensive, but the question im wondering more about is the peterol/diesel consumption. Now my daily commute to work is a 10mile round trip from home to town - and that trip is spent in traffic for the majority. Iv always been under the presumption that petrols are better for these kinds of runs, considering im never actually doing any distance driving. My vectra has had: new alternator new radiator new intercooler new battery new starter motor. in around 2 years and I have a feeling the clutch is next, I want rid of this pony!. The Mondeo is only £6.5k for an 08 plate at 68k miles. BUT it is this petrol guzzling petrol. I can wait and get a diesel for 2-3k more, but I love the sound of something nippy. What do you think? thanks

    Hi there, Anyone out there tried the Bluefin superchip on the Mondeo 2.5T? How big an impact does it have on the fuel? Im getting 28 ish mpg on the local roads... Cheers
