Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Before I get the "don't bother" stuff, a little info. This isn't my first car or even my main car, it's just a free mk5 I was given by my parents, it's a W reg and it's only done 40k miles. My best friend has a MK3 Golf GTI that's now done 170k miles. Now according to online specs, the Golf does 0-60 in 12.00seconds and the Fiesta in 12.7secs. I'm wondering what I can do to get the fiesta to do 0-60 quicker than the Golf, it's not about making the fiesta some racing car, it's about keeping it looking as stock as possible and rubbing it in his face since he talks absolute rubbish about his car 24/7. I know for a fact his car is stock since he doesn't even know how to hold a spanner properly. Money isn't really an object since I'm paid quite well and I have a fair whack saved up for a "project". I really don't care about the car and I've also considered using it for hillclimbs as I've seen a few of the 1.25s used in the small engine category. Any help is appreciated, cheers guys! Josh
  2. Hi all, So, I was looking and seriously thinking could I fit the Fiesta ST (Mk6 style, believe it's the ST 1?) seats into my 2008 MK6 Fiesta. Looking at the back seats they'll fit straight in, however will the front seats be the same? Doesn't matter what I search I cannot find an answer. I found one forum in total which someone has asked the question and everyone said yes but I wanted to double-check with everyone here as I'd prefer an answer from today not 4 years ago :) I want to be able to just slot the old ones out and put the ST ones in. These are the seats in question, I can see that someones put them in a Transit so I think it'll be fine but yeah!: Any ideas/know hows are appreciated. Thinking about picking them up this weekend.
