Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Calipers

Hi Guys, I want to know if i can spray paint or just paint with a brush (if i had the correct paint) my calipers? I want them red as it will keep it looking awesome with the black rims i have at the mo. I saw someone the other day did this to their fiesta but never put how they did it or what paint they used etc. Cheers,
  2. St220 caliper upgrade

Hope this helps anyone that is intrested in this, on my youtube channel there are how-to videos on halogen to Xenon conversion, start/stop buttons, spark plug changes and more. Cheers
  3. Hi all, hope someone could help with a noise on my ST220. This is the noise I'm talking about. Its coming from both rear wheels, but mostly rear left. Engine is turned off in video. It only starts after the car has travelled over a few miles, and it's more prevalent on a hot day. It doesn't seem to go away when the brakes are pushed, and the noise is tied to car moving speed. I jacked the car up (albeit when cold) and checked the calipers, regreased slide pins, regreased the pads and checked to make sure handbrake was releasing properly. Everything brake wise seemed fine, pads are a couple years old but have LOADS of material left. Discs don't seem warped. Wheels seemed to turn freely. My only other thought is whether it's the hubs. The sound seems like a rubber squealing (or like a squeegee on glass), and the only bits of moving rubber I know of are in the rear hub. Rear left has suddenly got very loud today, and right has slowly started aswell. Any input or opinions are appreciated, and sorry for the long post. Cheers, Tom
  4. I have recently just purchased my first ford! I love it, however I'm wanting red brake calipers. I'm not sure whether to pay to get them powder coated or to try and paint them myself. Any suggestions or rough prices? It would be for a pair. Cheers! (Ignore the cheesy photo of me, the father insisted)

  7. I'm gonna get my calipers painted soon. Just wondering on what colours people think would look good. I like red but it's a bit common, also I think white would look awesome and would blend on with all my other stuff (all interior lights, puddle lights, all interior will be white soon and also I've got the white dials), the big problem with white though would be keeping them clean so it's probably a big no. Any opinions would be good and I could do with a link to some? Cheers

  11. Rusty Drums And Calipers

Hi, thought i'd start a new topic as my drums and calipers are starting to go a bit rusty. Looks terrible through the alloys, just wondering what colour people have done theirs, if anyone has.
