  1. Help - Fiesta keyless battery low

    Hi all, The battery in my keyless fob for a 2013 fiesta ecoboost titanium X is low and needs replacing. Which type of battery do I need? I went to Halfords and they advised it would need reprogramming from the dealer, is this true? This is the only key I have aswell so don't want it to die. Kind regards, The Scooby Collector.
  2. Hello all, First post here. I recently bought a 2013 1.0l ecoboost fiesta that has full service history and one previous owner. 33k miles on the clock. I've noticed some rust and corrosion on some of the engine parts, specifically two metal connectors that seem to go from the coolant pipe to the engine and then also possibly to the radiator (?) Should i get these replaced? Would it be a fairly cheap part replacement? Any advice would be appreciated. Cheers. Cameron.
  3. Hi Guys, I have had my 2013 fiesta ecoboost for 1 year now and have been averaging around 27 mpg I do 100% local mileage with most trips being less than 5 miles. I get around 250 miles on a full tank, is there something wrong with my car? Thanks

Last week I finally got to pick up my Zetec S, in anticipation of getting my car - I spent a serious amount of time (probably too much) watching Youtube videos and looking at threads about Fiestas, and modifications in general. This gave me a lot of ideas for what I wanted to do. After having the car for a week, I have added a white grille 'S' badge and changed the foot well bulbs for blue light panels - it is pretty much stock. Here's a short list for the things I had in mind for the future: Team Heko wind deflectors (duh) 'S' gel wing badges Replacing all exterior bulbs with brighter ones TRC eyebrows TRC splitter (possibly with a white pinstripe?) New alloys - Black Possibly wrapping the roof and wing mirrors black That is all I have in mind at the moment, but I am open to suggestions and would like to know what you guys think would look good. After having the car for a week, I do love it stock. But there are just a few cosmetic changes that I think make the MK7.5 look even better. Here are a couple of pictures I have took so far:
  5. Hi guys. - apologies if this has been already asked, I have searched the forum and spent the best part of an hour flicking through topics on this section.... I've recently picked up a 1.0 125 ecoboost zetec and I'm starting to look into the mods that I can get for it. So far im looking into the bluefin remap, airtek intercooler, turbosmart dual port valve and a replacement air filter (either itg or pipercross) im reluctant to look at induction kits as they sound horiffic and im looking for more of an understated build..... With that said, Im looking around for a replacement exhaust, now i know Milltek sell sports exhausts for the Fiesta, but I cant seem to find anyone who makes them for the Focus... Are there any about (looking for cat back ideally)? or is it a case of popping to my local Longlife centre for a custom s/s exhaust (luckily theres one about 15 miles from my house and have used them before for my old focus) Many thanks in advance.

Hi all, I was hoping to increase the power from 123hp to the max the turbo can take which is around 170-180, I would like to go to the 200 mark however I believe the engine and gearbox won't cope? Would anything else be needed other than an exhaust, intercooler and remap? I've heard the 1.0 ecoboost engines can get quite hot and do require a significant amount of cooling. Is an induction kit needed or would a panel filter suffice? Also is there anywhere to find parts cheaper as it seems to get an extra 50hp it's going to cost over 2k fitted and thats before spending money on brakes, clutch, exterior bits, etc. Kind Regards, TheScoobyCollector
  7. Hi guys Welcome to my progress thread! Well, my old mk6.5 was written off unfortunately and my friend who works for Ford recommended the new Zetec S to me, and after a few weeks of looking around I decided it was the sensible choice for me. I picked up my Panther Black Zetec S from a Ford garage on the 31st of October, it's the 1.0 Ecoboost 125ps, 1 Owner from new, 6,471 miles, one service on it and there extras consist of; Privacy glass, Upgraded 17" alloys, City Pack and Start/Stop pack. It was one of the ford guy's girlfriends car, only sold it back to them because they got an upgrade because of his job, so something nice and legit, and no dodgy reasons! I don't have a proper list of what I want to do just yet, but a Stage 1 Revo remap and new exhaust system is on the cards. But for now I'll just be adding bits on here and there but will be sure to post about it! Ordered a pack of LED's last night so hopefully they're going to turn up some point this week. Here are some of the photos the day I officially bought her! And the day after, picking her up! Couldn't quite believe how clean it was... Thanks for reading :)

Hi all :) sooo im completely new to all this, and I've been reading all the threads for the past few weeks but have decided to bite the bullet and do my own! i currently have the 1.0l 125 ecoboost Fiesta, and I've been looking into the mountune MP135 upgrade but have no clue where to start! i have the Ford warranty so most other options are out of the window for me unfortunately, but I just wanted to know if I could just get the MP135 kit to start off with, or if I'd have to upgrade other things along with it, or if not what would work well with it? Does anyone have any experience with this and what it's like for fitting? Could I do it myself or would I need to have it done? I also wanted to get the mountune sport spring kit, again does anyone have experience for fitting? How's the ride afterwards? sorry for the 18288229628 questions haha I'm just a newby trying to find my feet! any helps much appreciated, thanks guys! :)
  9. Hello All I have got a 15 plate fiesta 100ps ecoboost. Please can you advise how to open the bonnet? I will need to do this at some stage to top up washer fluid I have looked the manual - but there is no context regarding the location of the latch to open the bonnet. Any help welcome. Just saves a trip bck to the dealer for help. Many thanks Bev
  10. Few issues with my ecoboost...

    Hi all, Have just got a few issues with my 5 door mk 7.5 fiesta titanium x that I was wondering if anyone could provide a solution to. 1. Start Stop doesn't seem to work anymore 2. One touch only works for the passanger window 3. Aircon doesn't work - probably just needs regassing? 4. The button for the windscreen washer doesn't work. The previous owner use to disconnect the battery quite a bit for security reasons so I think that may have caused some of the issues. Regards, TheScoobyCollector.
  11. Expansion tank/resevoir

    Hello I had the degas hose on my 2013 Ford Focus 1.0 Ecoboost replaced in March this year as it split. I noticed the other week that the expansion tank has a very small crack that is dripping fluid at a very slow rate. Does anybody know the part number for the expansion tank? I bought the car second hand in '14 and had it serviced with Ford in '15, then serviced independantly in '16 & 17 so doubt Ford will replace the tank for free. I'm also assuming replacing the tank is straight forward job I can do myself. Thanks in advance
  12. Hi guys, The handbrake button on my 2013 fiesta is stuck in, last night I pulled the handbrake up and the button stayed in (didn't pop out), the handbrake still works but it's quite annoying. Hoping someone has a quick fix. Thanks

Looking for some advice here so please feel free to comment... have owned my fiesta since new, now just had its 3rd birthday and showing 16k on the clock so think it's pretty well run in and fancy giving it a little bit of oomph! have looked at Revolution, Collins, Mountune, etc but really looking for experienced owners to give me some feedback on the best way forward and what the best products are. look forward to hearing back from the community... my first post btw so please be gentle! 😉
  14. I'm hoping to get some advice on this £4,354.05 problem but first I need to tell the story ! I bought this 2013 Focus titanium 1L Ecoboost 2 years ago and had been very happy with it up until April when it suddenly lost power on the motorway with no instrument warning lights. Nothing much to see except a bit of steam and plenty of coolant splashed around the engine compartment. I was far away from home, visiting a relative in hospital in the West Midlands and I had to stay to make arrangements for them. Unfortunately I had limited internet access (just a small phone) so had no idea about these ecoboost engines being equipped with defective degas coolant hoses. I booked the car into a small independent garage near Cradley Heath railway station, returned home (North Yorkshire) and then went on holiday abroad a few days later. When I finally found out about the degas hose problem I contacted Ford who at first dismissed any notion of responsibility since I'd taken the car to a non-Ford dealer to get it repaired. But they gave me a reference number to pursue the case further once the repairs were complete, which they now are having paid £4,354.05 (reconditioned engine and turbocharger from Ford, other bits, labour & VAT). So any advice on the following would be a real help: How do I deal with the issue of not having used a Ford dealer? I found an independent garage, SMB Autocentre, that sounded competent, was well reviewed (on Motor Ombudsman site) and was near a railway station for ease of travel. They repaired the car with Ford parts and a reconditioned engine from Ford. An important point here is that I'd chosen this garage weeks before I discovered this was a preexisting problem with many ecoboost engines Frankly I don't see how my choice of repair garage detracts from Ford's responsibility for installing defective coolant hoses in the first place. Does anyone know of any car owners taking legal action against Ford for this same problem? Any useful tips in getting some cooperation from Ford? As yet I haven't got back to Ford with list of final repair costs. For all I know they might be quite helpful, I just want to be prepared really. Thanks in advance for any help, Nick
  15. I'm picking up my 2014 zetec s fiesta on saturday, and i've been looking all over for little mods that make a big difference. Seen a few lads with white led headlight bulbs and it looks so clean. was hoping someone would be able to help me by providing a link to where i can get them and also how to fit them because headlights are something i've never messed about with. Also so if you've got any suggestions on appearance mods for me to do i'd love to hear them

  17. 1.0 Ecoboost oil leak

    So Ford had my car for a day to investigate an overheating problem and yesterday I find it's now leaking oil. I'm guessing they ragged it to try to get the temps up, as it was fine when I dropped it off. Many ideas where the leak might be?

    Hi all, I own a 2013 fiesta ecoboost titanium x and was wondering how to turn the traction off? I looked in the manual which says to go through the settings but I couldn't find an option to turn it on or off. If anyone has any ideas please share. Regards, TheScoobyCollector

    Going to look into getting a new car sometime soon, I've spent the last 2 days looking at the 140 bhp 1L ecoboosts, and the 123 Zetec S, but there's the 1.6L versions too, what one would you lot suggest, and why?

The past month or so we have been experiencing problems with our Ford Focus 125 Ecoboost (2013) in that you are casually cruising along and then there is this very slight jolt and then a noticeable loss of power - particularly "turbo" power. An example was driving up a hill today, on a dual carriageway in the outside lane (overtaking), 6th gear, when I suddenly felt this jolt, and it seemed like the turbo just cut out and it felt like an old banger trying to get up a steep hill, where you have your foot to the floor but there is no power. I didn't do this of course but found myself pulling back in behind the car I was trying to overtake. This has happened on a number of occasions (in particular on this hill which I have to tackle every day) and we have just had the car MOT'd and serviced and for which they found no problems. Is this the turbo failing or more importantly breaking? It seems very sporadic and prior to today hadn't happened for maybe a week? Any help/advice much appreciated.

    Sometimes it refuses to let me push into 1st and second sometimes it does but it crunches, it usually likes to go 1st to second alot more than 3rd to second gear. Is it my synchro? Tia
  22. So. First of all, apologies for my absence and lack of posting. With the FOC app being completely dead & the Tapatalk one being close enough I had almost forgotten about the forum. Alas, I'm back! And I'd like to introduce my new car to you all. I'm sad to say the mk6 has now been sold on to a family member who has it for sale again to make some profit -_- This is my 2014 Ford Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0. I hoped for a 2016 one but I somehow ended up with a more expensive 2 year old.. Don't ask 😂 It has 125ps (123bhp) currently. I've already fitted an AS stage 2 induction kit with cold air feed and it made a noticeable improvement to throttle response and no real difference to fuel economy Next to come is an AIRTEC stage 2 intercooler & a custom stainless exhaust with sports cat. Then the car will spend a day with REVO for a Stage 2 map leaving it with around 180bhp! Not bad for £0 road tax. It has 17" alloys from the factory and wind reflectors courtesy of its first owner! Compared to the mk6 it handles like a go cart & in a straight line is more than enough go.. although it could stop better (ST rear axle?) Next up will be some Japanese racing wheels.. possibly JR11s? Possibly lower it a little more then job done. Paintwork wise, it's had a full correction which almost drove me crazy & been coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light & Exo v2. I use Kleen freaks glass cleaner & sealant on the glass which acts as a rain repellant (available on the website). I've fitted 5k LED sidelights & 5k 55w HIDs into the dipped beam. massive improvement over standard. Now I just need to sort an LED replacement for the DRL/high beam. I've already changed all 6 indicators to silver ones, possibly my first modification if I remember right. I've left the interior lighting alone as compared to the mk6 I quite like to warm feeling. I may possibly replace the filament bulbs for warm LED ones in the future I'm not sure. It's nice to have footwell LEDs from the factory though. And a rear roof light! I've fitted genuine fiesta mats all around & protected the whole interior with Gtechniq I1 Smart fabric to help keep it clean & fresh! On a sidenote, does anyone else hate "easy fuel"? I often seem to splash when pulling out which can be awkward
  23. Hi all! So! I currently own a fantastic Ford Fiesta Titanium 1.0 Ecoboost 99, which I absolutely love! This engine has plenty of power and go about it. I've recently been looking at replacing my ageing Fiesta and have found a next to new Ford Focus Titanium; with very low mileage, with lots of added extras, everything I like about it and all at a fantastic price! The only doubt I have is it has the same Ecoboost 99 engine as my Fiesta. The mother owns a Focus with this engine and I test drove it and found it a bit more sluggish in the Focus due to the car's additional weight, but only when out of town and received approx 5mpg less. I'm wondering if this engine will struggle with say four people plus luggage in the car? Will I use a lot more fuel working it harder? Would I regret not going for the slightly more sprinted 125 if I go for the Focus I have found with the 99 engine and compared to my nippy Fiesta? Thoughts please? Many thanks!
  24. Anyone able to advise on the removal of a damaged sump, and subsequent fitting of a new replacement on a 2015 Fiesta 1.0T (140)? Looks like the exhaust may foul any straight-forward removal of the existing casing?
  25. Hi, I have a Ford Fiesta 1.0L ecoboost 100ps Zetec. I have done a few mods which include: Sony Stereo upgrade Wind Deflectors LED ambient lighting LED Illuminated Door Sills LED Fog units ST 17" Alloy wheels ST Centre console with armrest ST Molten Orange Recarro Seats Full Dress Up Kit Zetec S front grills Mountune Induction kit I just fitted the induction kit and I'm not really noticing any difference in terms of sound. I will say that i have not changed the "Charge Pipe Upgrade Kit" or the exhaust system. Could this be the reason why as to not hearing much of a difference. Do I need to get the charge pipe upgrade kit? I have a few more things that I am going to do such as: Cat Back Exhaust System (July) Bluefin Chip (July) Rear Parking Sensors ( fitting this weekend). Any suggestions please let me know. :)
