Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hi I've just placed an order for a new Fiesta Titanium X in white and now looking for a good place to get detailed. It will be the new car protection sealant, something like Gtechniq etc. Do you guys recommend anyone near Woolwich SE18? Thanks
  2. Ford Meet Just Off J17 M25?!

Update: This meet will take place at the Dumb Bell Pub near Maple Cross, on Saturday 23rd November at 3:30PM The postcode for the pub is SL9 0QY. This is the first event that I have attended/organised, so I will play it by ear once people arrive, but we will be convoying down to the 'Ford's the only way' meet at the Ace Cafe which starts at 6PM (around half an hours drive away I reckon) Please let me know if you are planning to attend and how many you are bringing so I can give the pub an idea of how many of us nutters to expect in their car park! I look forward to meeting a few other Blue Oval enthusiasts :) Hawkeye92 Hi All, I'm hoping to organise a Ford Meet at the Dumb Bell pub, Maple Cross, which is just off the M25 (easy access for all, right?! :P) No specific ideas for a date yet, but this is a nice drive away from the Ace Cafe, so I would suggest we meet for a park up and a chat at the Dumb Bell pub (decent sized car-park - SL9 0QY) and take a convoy down to join one of the Ford meets at the Ace cafe, would be wicked to arrive in style, Blue Ovals shining... I'd love to meet owners of any fords, always been a ford man, and I'll be there with my mk4 escort, hopefully drag my mate along in his RS1600i, let me know if you fancy coming and what you've got. Cheers, Hawkeye92
  3. Servicing / Radio Code

Hi All, I've recently purchased a 09 focus 1.6 zetec auto from an independant dealer. Wasn't the most well thought out purchase ive ever made, i'm not very up on motors. The (independant) dealer promised as part of the deal he would get a service done, but when i collected it it doesn't seem like a damn thing has been done other than his buddy stamping the book. He said he would mail me a invoice of the service and nothing has arrived. in hindsight quite naive, but to be honest, i dont really have the energy to chase someone who probably won't do anything now he's sold it. 1 of the tires was nearly flat when i got home and the radio asks for a code, i'm told that radio code is down to the battery being flat at some point. I'd like to get it serviced as minus the 1 the dealer claims he had done (prob. didnt) it hasn't been serviced since Aug 2011. the nearest official ford (Dagenham motors) quoted me £275 for a full service!!! - Can anyone recommend a good place to get my focus serviced that isn't quite so pricey? I live in borehamwood which is n. london/hertfordshire borders. - Do i have to go to Ford main dealer to get the radio code sorted? Any other advise for a noob? Any feedback or recommendations much recommended. Neil
  4. I picked up my Fiesta from an independent non Ford dealer yesterday and although they have put a service stamp in the book there are no specifics detailed as to what has been carried out. For my own peace of mind I am thinking of having the vehicle serviced and wondered whether members would kindly let me know of Ford garages or, reputable independent VAT registered garages in the London SE20 area, where they have received good service - preferably over more than one visit. Many thanks Patrick
