Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hi folks - apologies if I've posted in the wrong section... I recently bought a cable online to plug into the back of my CD 6000 (KW2000 model) which has an aux button on the front but nothing in the glove box and nothing plugged in at the back. I followed some youtube videos on how to install it and have plugged it into the wiring harness at the back but nothing is happening when I plug my phone in. Anyone have any experience of this? I even held down the central knob for 15 seconds as recommended to restart the unit but still nothing. Obviously I have tried both volume on the device and the radio at full min and max. Many thanks in advance for any responses. Rob
  2. Hi guys, Can someone please help with this issue, i'm using an iPhone 6 via USB to play music through the car, sometimes when i connect it, bang straight on and fine, no issues and can control everything fine from the steering wheel but other times i connect my phone... NOTHING, jack *****, can disconnect it, turn the car off then on again turn the phone off and on again and nout NADA. This is single handedly one of THE most annoying issues I've ever had with a car, considering when i'm in the car i'm kind of in a hurry to be somewhere, not wanting to sit there ***** about with a lead for twenty minutes haha. PLEASE HELP
  3. Hey guys. I got my first car today, a 2010 Ford Fiesta Zetec 1.4. It has bluetooth and everything seems to be working perfectly except the AUX port, although I haven't tried the USB yet either. <That's what it looks like in my car, but that pic isn't mine. When I plug my phone in there is a bit of a noise that makes me think that it is connected, like you can hear a little bit of electrical noise come through the speakers as it's plugged into the phone, but other than that I can't get it to play through the speakers at all. Bluetooth music works fine. Any idea what the issue might be? I read somewhere it might be a software update? Thanks.
  4. Hi, New member and new ford owner and I need some help. I recently bought a 2012 Ford Focus Titanium (from sandicliffe) and my iPhone wasn't working while connected via the USB slot (Bluetooth is working fine, aux not tested yet) then the radio died (black screen) so I've just picked it up after having a "new FCDIM screen fitted and programmed in FDRS" and I was hoping the program was connected however the USB slot is still not working. It shows the track name and the music is playing but the only sound is a very quiet static. I'm not sure to take it back or see if I can sort it out, hence why I'm seeing if anyone has any suggestions? Thanks Phil
  5. Hi All, Just over a week ago, I purchased a 2013 Grand C-Max Titanium X, having upgraded from a 2003 Ford Focus. It's a pleasure to drive, and all the mod cons, are a welcome addition too. The only niggling frustration I have, is the fact that my Sony stereo (the factory-fitted one), seems to be randomly pausing for a period of approx. a second, every 30 seconds or so (sometimes even more frequently than that). The music then picks up from 1 second further into the track, and plays again. Regardless of whether I have the DAB radio on, or music playing from another source (such as the USB port), it's happening all the time. I've tried switching the Traffic Announcements off, to see if it was periodically checking for an announcement, but the issue persists. At first, I paid a blind eye to it, but spending over two hours in the car each day, commuting to and from work, it's now becoming an annoyance. Having had a good look at various articles on the Internet, I can't find any other individuals reporting similar occurrences, like this. As such, I'd be most grateful, if anybody can share any insight into what may be the root cause of this issue, and better-still, how to fix it. Thanks in advance for your help with this. Joe
  6. I really want to improve the overall sound quality in my current Ford Fiesta 14 plate but not sure what's the best way to do it? Can I buy certain upgrade kits? Should I just buy new speakers and a sub or do I need to replace the stereo as well? Can't seem to find an awful lot online but maybe I'm looking for the wrong thing... any help is appreciated guys! 👊🏻
  7. Hello. Well. I have had my Fiesta now for 3 years, and it's been giving me strife in the past few months. First of all, I can no longer play music from my iPhone. It just keeps skipping tracks and never plays anything. But my main problem is that the USB input is sometimes reading an error "USB Device Not Supported" . I don't know why it does this. My memory stick is working right now, but if I plug it into the computer and put some new data on it, it will then be unable to read it next time I plug it into my Fiesta; it might take a couple of days until the system will be able to read it. I am using a 128GB stick. However, it is doing it with my 16GB stick and 8GB. I used to use a 32GB with zero problems. I formatted the sticks to FAT32. The only thing I can think of is a firmware update if it is still possible? I don't have SYNC or Bluetooth. My model is from 2012. Can anyone help me out? Thanks so much for reading. Jack
  8. Fez Boot Build?

Hey guys so I'm thinking of making a boot build for my fiesta Zetec s and was just wondering if anyone has done it already as any pics for inspiration will be appreciated, I'm thinking of taking the spare wheel out and putting a sub in and line the boot with red LED strips and a Perspex sheet to cover the amp. As stated, any help, advice or pictures are very welcome! Thanks guys
  9. Focus, 6000 CD Aux fit

Hello, id like to ask if anyone knows about a way to connect Aux cable to focus 6000 CD audio without any permanent damage to wires or car interior. Trying to find a guide but all seem to be off topic. Thanks
  10. Focus Mk2.5 2008 Reg Speakers

Hi all! My drivers side speaker appears to be blown or loose as it rattles with high volume / bass. I love my music and this is obviously very annoying. Planning on upgrading the stereo to a double din touch screen GPS bluetooth thingy from eBay in the coming months but would also like to sort the speakers out and upgrade them, or at the very least - fix the rattling! What speakers are used in the Mk2.5 Titanium Focus front door cards and rear too please? And does anyone know what the exact make and model speakers are standard in the Titanium? As the others are pretty good... Thanks muchly.
  11. Hi, New to the Ford world. quick one. Got an 08 Fiesta Zetec, Centre console shows Aux Button, but next to the cigarette socket it has a hollow. Any ideas why? Cheers. Aarron.
  12. Music From Usb

Hi people, I'm new to this forum as I only picked up my new Fiesta 4 days ago! Still got the new car smell :D Having an issue with the connectivity of a USB memory stick as use for music. I currently have a 4GB Sandisk drive and when I plug it in it does not always pick it up properly, the screen will say unknown track and artist and fails to play anything. When it does work it has on occasion cut out half way through a track. Just wondering if anyone has experienced a similar issue? Other than this can not complain at the car fantastic drive! Hope someone can help! Alex

  16. Usb Problems

i have a 59 Mondeo Titanium X with USB port in the glove compartment but when i put my flash drive in it, nothing comes up? anybody know of why this could be, my music files are in MP3 format.
  17. Hi guys, I am new to the Ford Owners Club - so please be nice! :) I have recently purchased a Ford Fiesta Studio (2014) from Ford directly. I have got an iPhone 5 with a Lightning Connector - but whenever I try and plug it into the USB connection it seems to play a song automatically from my music app, it then continues to choose its own song and flicker through the songs whenever I try to select my own one. Does anybody else have this issue? If so have you managed to get around it yet? It is really bugging me! Ford do not know anything about this issue either - I was thinking maybe its a Firmware issue but my cars only 3/4 weeks old so should be updated with the latest side of things? The only way I have been able to sort this out is by buying a bluetooth USB and connecting the phone to it wirelessly to play music. Many thanks guys!
  18. Good morning all, I've had my Mondeo for a couple of months and have mainly been busy with moving house and a new job to have a proper look at what it can/can't do. Very quickly I got my iPhone 5 paired up over Bluetooth to send/receive calls and that all works fine. Having read the documentation that came with the car (which spans several variations of car and stereo model), I believe there may be the functionality to stream music from my iPhone to the stereo, however I just cannot figure out how to do it... Playing music on my iPhone just makes the music come out of the iPhone speaker. I've tried turning the stereo to AUX with no luck. My previous vehicle didn't have Bluetooth and I'd bought a Jawbone earpiece, when using that and playing music the iPhone would give the option to use the Jawbone as a speaker. I don't see a similar option on the iPhone when it's paired to the Mondeo. There doesn't seem anything obvious in the menus. There are two buttons on there stereo, both have a folder on them, and one has an arrow pointing into the folder, the other out of it. I've pressed these while the phone has been paired and it doesn't seem to do anything. Issuing voice commands doesn't seem to do anything either... Is it that my variation of the 6000CD lacks this functionality? Should all 6000CD's have this functionality but mine is broken? It baffles me that if something was broken/missing that the handsfree works... Any information would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Anyone heard of the band "little green cars" There an Irish band and indie rock isint really my sort of music interest; well except for the killers and kasabian but anyways, The song from little green cars caught my ear, Quite a long title its called "My love took me down to the river to silence me" I will warn you before listening though; its very dark listening for the festive period something like Quentin Taranto would play on the credits scene of a move. But its very catchy and IMO some hardcore !Removed! right there :) Well worth a listen though I've not yet saw the video so I'm going to watch it now too myself.
  20. I recently added two albums from iTunes and they don't play in my car via my USB stick. Is there a way that i can play .mp3 files ? I've already updated the system when I bought the car this year.

  22. Hi all Newbie here, got myself a Kuga last month, my 1st Ford. It's got the Ford Sync but I didn't opt for the inbuilt Sat Nav because it was so expensive! My current TomTom is so old it doesn't have bluetooth so looking to upgrade & not sure which model to get. What I need: - Voice commands to be played through the car speakers & music to be muted during the command - Preferrably have music via my USB but could play via phone or (as a last resort because I don't necessarily want to keep it on permanently) the sat nav - A TomTom - Europe maps because we take it abroad - Lifetime map updates - GO LIVE Any ideas? Thanks

  24. Hi, I just got a brand new Mondeo Estate Titanium X and want to play music from a USB flash drive. I bought an HP V220w 64GB flash drive, format FAT32, USB2.0. I downloaded WMA and MP3 files from windows media player. It sees all the tracks and albums and starts playing then stops for a while says its initialising then plays some more and continues this way. I took the car back to my local ford dealer who adised I needed aflash drive of max 32GB. I replaced my original 64GB for a 32GB of thew same model. put one CD of mp3 on it and it has the same problem. I tried the same mp3 files on a freebee 1,8Gb stick and it plays fine. I think it could be a compatibility issue, has anyone got any recommendations of flash drives that will work?
  25. Hey, We're from Hungary with my girlfriend and we own a Ford Fiesta ST 2008 variant. It does not have a small jack aux, nor a USB port, but we read that it's capable of playing music via Bluetooth. Can you please provide a step by step guide how to enable this feature on the radio, because we tried to switch it on, but my phone (Samsung Galaxy S3) could not find any bluetooth stations to connect to. Attached a picture of the radio just to avoid misunderstandings. Your help would be much appreciated. Thanks.
