Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hi, last year I did a complete stereo installation in my 2005 Focus MK2. I am from Norway, so please excuse the bad english :) And the metric system :) I was very dissapointed with the sound quality in the car. The Head-Unit, Ford CD6000 suffer from a combination of poor dynamic resolution and lack of power - resulting in very bad sound quality. Even replacing it with the cheapest aftermarket cd-players will give you a great improvement in sound quality. I started with a plan on only change the head unit, but somehow it really took off. It ended with a complete stereo installation, including reinforcing the electrical system and sound dampening. At the same time I wanted to make the installation not showing - except for the head unit. I wanted to have good bass, 2x12" woofers in the back, but I use the space there on occasion, so the box had to be easily removed. The choice of components where made of good buys at the time - and Infinity is an old favourite of mine. Start of with some pictures of the finished installation:
  2. I've recently purchased a Fiesta Titanium 58 plate and ever since i've had the warning light has been flashing up saying that my boot is open when it is securely closed. Also when my car is locked the car alarm constantly goes off, i've also noticed my indicators are not cancelling when i turn. Im going to take it back to the dealership tomorrow, but i just wanted to find out if anyone else has been having these problems and if they had been resolved. I just dont know if its a common fault? Any feedback will be appreciated :)
