Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. 6000CD AUX issue!

I understand that there are a lot of topics on the whole AUX connection for 6000CD, however none have simply resolved the issue. I've pulled the head unit out and I have a cable from the back of the radio into the glovebox, where the square block clips into a housing behind the hole that can be seen from the front of the glovebox labelled 'AUX IN', I have also purchased Ford Part No. 1426121 which has a similar block on one end and a 3.5mm jack on the other. How on earth can I simply get a connection from the back of my radio to a cable with a 3.5mm jack on the end?! I initially thought that the convenient 'AUX IN' hole in the glovebox was a simple connection for a 3.5mm jack, how wrong I was! Please help! Thanks.
  2. Unfortunately, the central locking is playing up. Everything works perfectly except the driver's door 'unlock' when using the remote. The door can be unlocked using the key and can be unlocked (assuming the deadlock is not on) from the inside. I have checked fuses, checked for broken wires (nothing obvious) as well as removing the door panel. As I mentioned, everything else works fine. It seems it is not possible to pull out the connector (of the door wiring loom) hidden within the door frame without removing the door, so before I do that, I wanted to check that, when applying the appropriate signal (+12V ?, earth ?) to the relevant unlock wire of the loom, the door lock actuator was indeed ok (suggesting a broken wire/ poor contact somewhere else). But, the loom that runs from the door connector (hidden in the pillar) to the lock actuator plug in the door itself, which has nine wires (6 lighter gauge, 3 heavier), are ALL COLOURED BLACK !!!!! What's all that about ??? Anyway, I can access the 10 way plug in the door so can track back the nine wires and identify them, if I knew the pin configuration of this actuator module plug/connector itself ? Can anyone help ? TIA ....
  3. Hi, I need to replace a broken yellow drivers knee airbag electrical plug which is attached to a loom in the driver's foot well, a loom which also feeds the nearby driver's foot well courtesy light. It has just two wires into the plug from the loom and I think it would be easy to repair but is there anywhere that sells this item alone? I will try Ford but I do not want to replace the entire loom just for this one little plug which I suspect is integral to the loom. Is there somewhere online that specializes in Ford electrical plugs such as this? This plug is for a Ford Fiesta 2009 1.25 Petrol Zetec. Thanks, Gallantfive
  4. Subwoofer On My Original Sony

Hello everyone. I am new in this forum. I am planning to connect a subwoofer (and power amplifier) to my original Sony (Focus II, 2007). I think I have the Sony CD132 (one disk, mp3). I managed to make myself the extraction keys, and they work ok. I'd need the pinout of its connector to know if there is some subwoofer output, or I will have to use two speakers outputs to feed my amplifier. I would like to know if there is some "remote" output to trigger my amplifier. If it is not, I will use +Acc wire. The sticker of my radio shows this model: CDX-5F611R. I'm not sure if this is the 132 model, I will search for the original manual at home. Thank you in advance. Very nice site :P
  5. My Ford Fiesta 2005 1.25 Studio is my first car and I've only had it a few months, I am also not very knowledgeable about cars but am learning. When I got the car it was fine for about 3 weeks but then I started noticing a fresh oil burning smell mostly after a drive once parked up but also when driving. My oil levels are fine and there isn't puddles under the car so I assume it's only a minor but annoying leak. I first looked under the front of the car to discover a patch of oil under the "sump" I think. Here are some pictures of the discovery: I removed the air filter box and discovered some oil in locations around the back of the engine. I then cleaned up all the visible oil I could and waited a day to see if any more would leak. Everywhere seems fine apart from one place which I will show below. I have also included a video to give a better understanding even know my camera skills aren't great. If you have read this far I thank you as I know this is a long post and look forward to reading any suggestions.
