yessuz posted a topic in Ford Mondeo / Vignale ClubHi Guys! Recently it appeared that my company allows me to get the new car, and as result - I am looking for one. As it is with the new cars - lower the CO2, less the BIK (Benefit in Kind) tax. So, I was quite surprised when saw, that the company which runs our fleet, offers 2015 Mondeo Hybrid in Saloon (sedan). Which results in quite low tax for a big and comfortable car. YAY!!! :) Now, I am really looking forward to get one, but, I want to have a test drive/overview the car. And therefore I have few problems: 1) Our company basically allows you to have a car for testing over the weekend. But it limits up to 3 tests before making decision. So I have to chose wisely what to test for a longer time. If it is not what I expected or need - I have only two more test drives left... 2) I live in NW Leicestershire, and apparently, none of the dealers/garages around me have one at display or for test drive. 3) there's no point to test drive diesel or petrol, as they have different gear boxes and engines and overall experience is different. So, I got the question: is there anyone in this forum in reasonable distance from me (LE65 post code) who: a) knows a dealership which has such car to check b) owns such hybrid and is willing to spend about half an hour of his precious time with me (during the weekend or work day, subject of arrangement (And I would be extremely flexible :D), by showing it and/or answering few questions? Also - any other questions asked. thank you for understanding, I hope this tread is in accordance the rules and looking forward to hear from you guys soon!
Hello all, My first post to this great forum. I hope to buy a brand new Fiesta style 1.25 82PS 5DR either 63 or 14 model. As this is my first time purchasing new I would love to hear your experiences in buying directly from a dealership and perhaps even the best way of achieving the best price from your dealer. Any advise would be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing your stories. Regards, Daniel
Hi all. Hopefully some of you can offer some advise how to deal with this situation….. Got a power steering failure issue with my Ford Focus 1.8 TDCI ZETEC 2007 plate (mileage 68k) . Dealer diagnosed the problem as being the power steering pump which costs around £400 +VAT + Labour. They have fitted the part and now they're saying there is another issue with the "instrument cluster" which is preventing the new pump from working properly. Apperently they can "hear the pump trying to work" but due to this other issue it's not. There was no mention of this being faulty when they first diagnosed the car. Also, when the power steering failed on me, I could hear the pump trying to work (regular knocking sound that you can feel through the steering wheel) The instrument cluster cost another £450 + VAT + Labour, and to honest I have 0% confidence that this will be the end of it. Maybe I'm being cynical, but it feels like they've got me to commit to the first lot of works, fitted that and now I've got my hands tied so they can fleece as much money from me as possible! I asked about the option of buying the car off me outright rather than doing the works, but after an initial offer of £1900 (£1100 knocked off normal price due to works required) now the manager has decided he doesn't want to buy it at all, therefore forcing me into a corner. I sure as hell don't want to park ex it and buy anything else off them if I can help. Webuyandycar.com also value the car at around £1900, never used them, but I've heard they knock you down loads when they actually see the car. Any ideas what I should do would be gratefully received!
