Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Hi folks, Well, we just had an enormous downpour where I am and my poor car... there's a split in the back window, which I was worried about, but there's only a tiny puddle on the 'parcel shelf' area, so it's fine. The driver's door, however... while sitting in it, it was a torrent coming through where the window doesn't meet the seal. I've heard wind noise since I got it but couldn't locate it as it doesn't cause a draft, but now I've found the problem area with the water. I've had the seal off and put it all back on, it is as 'on' as it can be, so it seems to be one of three issues, as far as I can tell: Either the door is misaligned, the window is misaligned or the seal has been flattened, allowing for the gap. I have no other door issues, however, I have noticed that the seal running along the bottom of this window keeps pulling up slightly when the window is wound up. Could these two issues be a sign of a misaligned window? If it's not the door or window, it must be the seal, as the roof seems absolutely fine, so I'm not even considering that as a potential problem. So, if it is the seal, how would I go about finding a remedy for my situation, please? Thanks.
  2. Can anyone offer me any advice on removing/replacing the front door seal of my 2006 Ford Fusion? It is worn in the middle. After examining it I can't quite work out how it is attached.
  3. Mk2 Focus Noisy Rear Doors

Hi, can anyone tell me if you can tighten striking plate or adjust the compression on the rear doors of my ford focus 2009.. If not would new door seals be a answer to the problem..
  4. Fiesta Door Seals

I have a 2011 Ford Fiesta Edge 1.25. It's a pretty straightforward car, as a 20 year old I saw this at a discounted price and snapped it up! Runs like a dream compared to my 04 Seat Ibiza SX, much more reliable and comfortable too. Only problem I have noticed so far is the door seals seem to be coming away on both the driver and passenger doors, is this a warranty issue? Is it quite regular to have these kinds of problems?
