      it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. Fiesta 1.4 Tdci Warm Starting Issues

    Hello I was wondering if anyone had any experience with a warm starting problem on a mk 6.5 fiesta 1.4tdci ? Cold starting is no problem and it runs fine and if you allow the engine to cool it's fine or short journeys with the fan on full blast but otherwise it often won't start or struggles. The car is under a warranty and has so far had the leaky injector seals replaced, fuel lines replaced and fuel filter. I have recently got hold of auto data and seen some ford mondeo tdci problems on a forum with warm starting caused by the ecu needing an update for not putting enough fuel in on warm starts. Any help is appreciated thanks. Iv also been told by a mechanic on a focus with a similar problem changing the tdc sensor fixed it. Diagnostics comes up with no codes. Any help is appreciated thanks.   2. Hello, Can someone help me with a problem, I have a Ford Fiesta 1.4 Diesel TDCI (54 plate), and the car has a chugging noise and there is smoke coming from under the air box, does anybody have an idea what may be the problem ? Thank you for your help !
  3. Hi everyone. Came on forums to look for some insight and advise as I'm a bit worried something big will go wrong on my 2007 Galaxy that I got about 6 month ago. 1.8 TDCI zetec 125bhp spec. The problem is that engine vibrates excessively or I should say almost shaking in high gears . It happens on only at the 5th or 6th gear while accelerating harder. Light accel. or even cruise on these vibrations barely noticeable if there at all. Same with lower speeds, it feels that some vibration is there, but as I mentioned it's on 5th and 6th gear that you really feel it and does not go away no matter the revs or speed is (typically I never let revs go over 2.5k) All wheels recently balanced, alignment is fine too. Turbo is giving couple of odd sounds and will need to be looked at (restored) sooner rather than later. Just got the camshaft sensor error yesterday (and it went away, replacing it tomorrow no less), but the shaky problem is there for a while now. Way before that error popped up. I would appreciate ANY ideas what to look at to get this sorted. I would really hate if something big would go and I'd be stuck with no car and kids needing to get to school, preschool etc. If you need more info on the car / problem - I'd happy to add that.     Hi I am a newbie and a new Ford Focus zetec 2006 owner. I just got the car on eBay few weeks ago and it now need a replacement engine. Please does anyone know where I can get a good replacement engine or a reconditioned one? I have contacted lots of companies but they all seem to have bad reviews . Help, thanks Replacement engine code needed is QQDA 1.8 petrol.

    My focus has just started to brake down The power train warning light comes on when the engine warms up and the malfunction light come on and the temp needle goes into the red it will keep going for about 10 minutes before the power train warning light starts to flash then the engine slows down and cut out i have changed the throttle position sensor with no effect the fault was 1120
  6. Hey, ive had my Ford Focus Estate TDCI 1.6L now for about 3 weeks and its been the same since i got it...that is its very slow... There must be a problem because it takes forever to accelerate and this is most noticable when trying to accelerate from 40-70 going onto a duel carriageway/motorway..which is most annoying and somewhat embarrasing at times. <_< Ive been told it could possibly be a turbo problem/leak, accelerator problem etc. and havent really had it fully checked be a professional yet... Anyone else had/have a similar problem or know of any cost saving solutions?? also perhaps worth noting is that the car doesnt really tend to go above 3500rpm.. in any gear or even in neutral. SOLUTIONS?? ADVICE??
  7. hi all. ill give ya alot of detail about the situation so this will probably be a long essay!! i have a 2006 ford mondeo 2lt tdci. a previous taxi car. had 1 previous owner 125k ok the clock. now the engine was changed at 75k miles from a 115 to a 130 (i checked with the garage) the bloke had quite a few problems prior to me buying and i brought cheap as it had flashing g-plug light. since i brought it i had a new battery, then i stripped the turbo actuator cleaned and re-fitted, then i had all 4 injectors reconditioned, (all of this was done whilst it sat in my garden) finally took it for mot where it passed. on way back it kept going limp home mode, done a leak off test and one of the recon injectors was faulty, sent it back got one on warrentee, put it in had it coded and car didnt run properly straight away with a specific fault codeforthe injector i just replaced. sent it back once again to be told it looks like a faulty repair. another one back and again recode. so injectors been already annoying me!! car runs fine but every now and again it goes limp home mode or just suddenly cuts out without warning. changed fuel filter (with injectors) with a ford part. changed leak off pipes, changed crank and cam shaft sensor. now this has been a long process as its been sitting for 10 months now with being only driven for testing to see if its fixed! upon test drive today i noticed it drove great for 10 miles then i got a straight and floored it. limp home mode and cut out, started up again(always clears the problem for awile) carried on 2miles later on another straight done the same, started again and it drove me the 7 miles home (not booting it) so appears to do it whilst flooring or just after, doesnt allways happen. also always P0251 fault code ALSO!! whilst driving in any gear as i let the engine slow me down it judders quite abit?? same problem?? something else?? ive got to be honest it sounds typical injector fault but its hard to belive as ive spent about £600 on injectors within the last 100 miles!!! so before i get bombarded with 'INJECTOR FAULT' i would like to know what other possabilitys there are. my train of thought is: 1) fuel rail pressure sensor 2) turbo actuator playing up 3)damaged wiring 4) faulty injector 5) fuel pump (hoping and praying its not) if there could be another fault im missing please let me know. also could someone let me know what simptoms i will get if i.e the fuel rail sensor has actually damaged. on a brighter note ifsomeone wishes to purchase this car with the fault then i may be interested (although this is not a advert to sell the car if anyone is interested please let me know and ill put up an offical advert for the car ok) many thanks lee
