  1. Paint code issues

Hello all, A 2007 Fiesta is in need of TLC after having an argument with some wildlife on the dual carriageway  I'm checking the paint codes, and I'm not liking what I'm seeing: If I understand the paint code system correctly, this VIN shows the paint code to be V5.. which would be Jewel Green introduced in 2005. As the more observant of you may have noticed, the paint around the VIN plate doesn't look particularly green...  Leaving that particular issue to one side, any idea what the correct paint code is for this? I've definitely seen other Fiestas this colour so I'm fairly sure it is a standard colour. Cheers, hk
  2. Key Code

I recently put a new battery in my 2006 focus. unfortunately I've lost the key code for the radio/CD player! can anybody help please? the radio model is a 6000CD. Many thanks.
  3. Key Fob Loosing Coding

Morning all, I have just had to re code one of our keyfobs after what i thought was the battery going flat, However, this morning it has stopped working again, re code it and its fine, anyone heard of this before? or is the keyfob on its way out?
  4. Re Radio

hi there I am having trouble getting the code for my car .. unfortunatlly I needed a new clutch for my car and wen I got the car bk I found my radio not working it is asking for a code can someone help me I have the serial number for my radio
  5. Maf

Hi, I had a lot of problems with my ford focus 2002. Front discs and brake pads replaced, caliper lower bolt stripped, head lights wiring burnt and connectors needing replacement. Now all done but i now have an errror code p0340 cylinder 4 misfire. I have a new mass air flow on order as i believe the old one is faulty as test confirms. Is the P0340 code a result of the mass air flow fault. She runs but very badly. She starts first turn of key but idle is very rough no power heavy fuel consumption. Any ideas as i am worried this could be a bigger problem than the mass air flow sensor.
  6. Hi guys I have a focus 1.8 TDCI 2006 (71000m), we have owned it nearly 18 months and to be fair we have had issues from the start. We have replaced glow plugs and had it serviced as it should. Recently I had to replace the silicone elbow that runs directly off the turbo as it split (awful design!). After all this it still drives rough until one morning where at a roundabout all the lights came on the dash and it just lost all power, lights went off and it had nothing in it, no power or ignition lights at all. We replaced the alternator as it had burnt inside and put a new battery in it as well. We thought this had solved our dodgy ride but about three months later its back again, struggles in low gears, stalls when pulling off and keeps throwing the drive train fault code up! Any ideas? Im thinking EGR? Elec fault? could be anything but any cheap solutions to rule out certain things I would be grateful. Thanks
  7. Hello, I need to try and find the location (or even better if anyone actually knows it) the engine code of a 2011 Fiesta Titanium Diesel 1.4 TDCi. I've had the plastic cover off the top of the engine and have a look around the block but can't see it anywhere. Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  8. Hi, I'm looking to buy a chip/scratch repair kit. Looking at my vin no. Etc, the paint code as I read it is 'zc' (car is red). I've searched (a lot) and it's not on database for my year and a different colour all together on other models. Could it be wrong on vin? Someone please point me in the right direction.... Thx Graham il add photo if in doubt.....
  9. Hi all, I am new here and I have recently bought a second hand 2011 Fiesta. I would like to know if the 2011 fiesta have radio code? I asked from the dealer I bought with and he said the new fiesta does not have radio code. Can someone confirm it? Thanks.
  10. Stolen Keys

Hi, I'm hoping people can offer their advice/experience. Overnight somebody stole my 2011 Fiesta Zetec with the keys but they also took the spare key (which was sitting next to my keys) to my brother's 2007 Fiesta Zetec Climate. All the usual stuff has been done in terms of recovering my car (the low-lives have damaged it) and police contact etc. But typically my insurance doesn't cover me for a courtesy car whilst in for repair but covers stolen keys and my brother's insurance cover a courtesy car but hasn't got key cover- typical!!!! The short way of putting it is... what are my options? Can I/dealer reprogramme keys and ignition/replace locks? What is the lowest cost option. Would really appreciate any help! Thanks
  11. Hello new to this website but we have tried everything our garage has suggested and the fault code just keeps coming back. We have a ford ka style 2006 and the fault code p0420 keeps appearing we've changed both lambda sensors and had a new new cat converter fitted,We had full service changed spark plugs oil etc. But still the problem keeps coming back the garage have run out of ideas and just say we should sell the car! We feel we've spent too much money on it just to give up now and are adamant it can be fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bare in mind I'm not particularly savvy with mechanical lingo so be as simple as you can. Thanks
  12. Hi guys new to this forum but I am hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I have a few query's couple of days ago my car was parked in a space running whist I was in it and it just cut out as if i had turn the key to the off position. Shortly after or before I can't quite remember but when I had started the car up to drive, I heard a hissing sound ( was as if i had burst turbo pipe) and it was very loud and got louder as I revved the car. Anyway i drove the car as normal and the noise had corrected it self as I never heard it again and haven't since. So one of my mates is a mechanic so I got a lend of his snap on verso diagnostics machine to check of any fault codes, and 1 fault code was stored which was P007f something along the lines of turbocharger intercooler temp sensor, would that cause my car to cut out? Today I was heading out to work and the next thing the glow light was flashing and I lost power then it just cut out completely. However it started straight away afterwards. are any of the faults related or not? Also I have read up on forums regarding the issue but nothing is 100% and I don't want to guess what parts it needs and throwing money into the car if I don't need to. Is there any simple things I can try first or test anything? My car has only done 120,000 miles and up to now has caused me no problem, I have only had it since december last year but I really like the car and would like to find the cause of the problem as soon as possible. Thanks in advance.
  13. Hi Guys, Just had a fault develop on my 2006 TDCi Mondeo and had to call my breakdown service. He diagnosed the error code P1288 (Cylinder Head Temp Sensor Out Of Range). The symptoms were that the temperature gauge dropped to zero, the engine warning light came on and the car lost power and went into Limp Mode. Also, after the car was parked the rad fan continued to run for about 5 mins. Can anyone please tell me how to change this sensor Do I need special tools to do the fix B) Any help and with diagrams if poss would be greatly appreciated :D My very best regards Bob.
  14. Hi there, I recently had a new battery fitted and when I went to turn the stereo on it asked for the code (as you would expect). The code in my ford manual does not work - I had never needed it before. What should I do to get this unlocked? Another strange thing is that after 3 attempts, it now shows a message "Wait" with a 30 minute timer - this resets every time I turn the ignition on. This is a 2007 Style... Any help appreciated - don't want to pay a garage to get the stereo working - may as well just buy a new stereo as it will probably cost the same!

  18. My daughters got ford ka 2008 style ,,her CD player says code on display but not flashing we have the code any ideas why can't get to flash to put in code ,,,I've disconnected battery and still no good to get to flash to put code in any ideas please be grateful
  19. I have the "Engine malfunction" message displayed on my 2009 Focus 1.6 diesel econetic. Ive run through the "self diagnostic" by holding down the set/reset knob, and at the DTC codes, it says, "DTC #Codes NONE" I also have a little diagnostic scanner of my own, and it shows nothing. I did however, unplug my scanner when i wasn't supposed to, (the ignition was still on), and I've been told that this could've caused the "engine malfunction" message. But the "engine malfunction" message came up a week or 2 after i used the scanner, is that possible? Ive also been told that, by unplugging the battery, it may reset the "engine malfunction" message. Is that advisable? as i will try everything to avoid another trip to the mechanics, and £25 a time on the scanner, its money i don't really have at the moment. Confused as to why it won't show up on my scanner though, any help is much appreciated.
  20. Hi all, I am struggling to find the actual paint code for my red ford fiesta. It is not a letter and a number combination and I don't know where to look at in the attached image. Anyone can point me to the right direction would be great. Thanks
  21. I recently bought a 2009 Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCi and need to change the battery but I do not have a code for the radio. Is it possible to obtain the code from the radio before the battery is disconnected? Or alternatively to obtain the code from the serial number? Having looked online it is possible to obtain most radio codes for a small price, however no one is offering the codes for a serial number beginning with the letter "Z". The serial number on the radio is Z151626. Any help will be greatfully received. Regards, Kevin
  22. Radio Help Needed !!!

Hello all Ive done something really silly !!!! I tried to remove my radio to replace the standard black surround with the silver one and disconnected my stereo....... i don't have the code for it to carry on working, i have read somewhere that you just need the serial number of the stereo to get the code but i don't get how??? obs i don't want to pay out loads to get the radio code - foolish man i am! any help would be greatly appreciated oh and its a mk6.5 model
  23. 04 Coil Problems

  24. Where Is The Paint Code

Hi guys Since the weather is better I have decided to declare war on the brown spotty dease... Got most of the bit and bobs required But Im not sure where my paint code is Located...Never had to look for one before. I looked on the plate under the bonnet and I didn't see anythink obvious...... just vehicle weights I think my focus is Tonic Blue just by looking at the paints in Halfrauds Any help finding my paint code would be very much appreciated
  25. Mk2 1.8 Tdci Limp Home

OK, so can any one help, please. My trusty 1.8 TDCI has developed a problem, it keeps going in to limp home mode and the red warning sign appears. It used to do it rarely and only for a couple of minutes so to be honest I didn't worry too much about it. However, now it does it nearly all the time, though not all the time.......... annoying. My brother in law has a diagnostic machine and it's given me fault code P0670, glow plug control module, I have a new module to try but am I barking up the wrong tree? Could it be a connection somewhere as the problem isn't constant. I'm keen to try the new module as I have it but locating the thing is a bit tricky, searched forums and getting conflicting info. Tracing the wiring loom leads me heading under the battery???? Also I've read that if I put this new relay (module) in that ford will have to re-program it. Any help gratefully recieved Thanks Wookie
