  1. Hello, My Ford Fiesta 4500 RDS headunit , will not change volume ? I have tried another headunit (the same one from eBay) and exactly the same issue . The headunit will turn on and play music but you can not change the volume or turn it off/on . I previously did have an aftermarket headunit in it, which did change volume , Im now reverting back to the standard headunit. Has anyone had this problem or know the fix? Thanks
  2. Hi guys Wondering if you could give me some tips on making the fiesta MK5 more presentable because i replaced the 4500 RDS with a Kenwood single din radio using a kit which features storage slot to fill the second single din slot. Photos will follow. Currently the edges are showing all around, This doesn't look nice, cause im planning on selling it i need to make it look presentable. Any ideas? Jason
  3. Hi there, So I own a Ford Fiesta Zetec and have done for a few months. When I first bought the car I made sure that the previous owner provided my with a radio code for the 4500 radio. For a few weeks the radio and cd player worked fine but now when I try to get the radio working, every channel just gives out white noise even when auto tuning and manually tuning. However, the cd player still works. Can anyone give me an insight on what has gone wrong and how to rectify the mystery? Thanks
  4. I have a 2003 (53 Plate) Ford Fusion 2. I want to remove my 4500 Radio/Entertainment System so that I can see what ports and cable attachments are at the rear - thus giving me the opportunity to use a radio to auxiliary converter. I've seen it done with cars older and of similar ages to mine, but I won't know what ports are accessible until I have a look at the back. Any help would be really appreciated. Thanks, Cameron
  5. Does anyone have a copy of the Ford RDS EON 4500 audio unit User manual? as found in my 2004 fiesta? I would pay for a photocopy.
  6. Ford Fiesta Radio Removal

Hi all. New here. I have a ford fiesta mk6 (05) with the standard 4500 radio which today i removed the dash off in order to cut the two strips off the dash in order to fit an aftermarket. I had to turn my battery off and now my regular stereo won't work. I know i need to get the serial for it to get the code - but the stereo won't even come out! I undid all the screws and pulled and nothing. I can feel a bit of resistance like it may be connected at the back. Do some cars have some sort of security mechanism that would be stopping it from coming out?f Any help would be appreciated! I haven't got my new radio yet so for the mean time I have no radio at all!

  8. 4500 Rds E-On Locked 13

Hi, I've just brought a fiesta zetec 55 reg and the radio has locked 13 and i cant use any of the functions or menus. I have the key code but was wondering if there was any way I could get it working myself, before taking it to a ford garage. Thanks
  9. Looking for some advice regarding my 4500 rds eon, Radio/Cd player, the radio works fine but when I play a cd I only get sound from the left front and back speakers. Would this mean replacing the complete new unit. When the car went in for its last service the mechanic at the main dealers said the obvious, it's broken, but I don't think he took the unit out and had a proper look. Said a replacement would cost in the region of £400/500. I have seen some for sale on eBay but thought I check all avenues before buying a replacement. Thanks for reading, all help and advice would be appreciated.

  11. Aux In

Hello, I have a 54 plate Fieta Finesse with a 4500 RDS radio and wondered if anyone could point me to a manual for this model or advice me on what connections are available to me? I'd like to attach it to a 3.5mm audio socket and was hoping that there might be an AUX in socket on the back of the radio but thought I'd ask here before I wandered down to the car with a screwdriver and a determined expression. Cheers, Matt
