  1. Hi, I hope you can help... I noticed my engine coolant is on the MIN mark when the engine is cold, it goes up when hot, but not by much. I want to top it up so it's between MIN & MAX when cool. I went to the Ford Dealership and bought some Ford SUPER PLUS PREMIUM coolant today. I noticed it was more a yellow/light orange colour, compared to the pink colour that is in there at the moment. When I asked if they had the 'pink variety' the guy there said that they only have one type, and that it's fine to top it up with the one they gave me, even though it's a different colour. He claimed that "the coolant is always pink from the factory". I have left my engine to cool and was about to top up with a 50/50 mix of coolant and de-ionised water, when I thought I best check the manual, in which it states: "Do not mix different colours or types of coolant in your vehicle". I'm hesitant to do what should be a simple job, what with being given conflicting information. I'm not looking to drain all the coolant, I just want to top it up, so I'm wondering if anyone knows if it's safe to do so with the coolant I've been given? Any help would be much appreciated.

  3. Afternoon all, I am new to the club, new to the Ford world and new to the driving world for that matter. I have recently got myself a 2006 (56) Ford Fiesta Zetec Climate 1.4L and absolutely loving it. Overtime, I am getting to know the car and how to go about using/maintaining it. So recently, it hit me that I don't know how the alarm system sounds so I went about trying to make it chime by a number of ways: - Open bonnet once locked (for more than 1 minute) - No luck - Sit inside, lock it and wave hands around - No luck - Start the engine whilst locked - No luck. ^ Single and double locked. I have a very strong feeling that it doesn't actually have an anti-theft alarm system and I wanted to make sure for certain whether it does or not. Are there any sure-fire ways of figuring this out? If it doesn't, is it actually worth getting one in? If so, roughly how much does one cost? Alternatively, are there any ways to deter people from giving it a go? or any alternative safety measures I can install with relatively small cost? Thanks in advance for your help! Neel
  4. Hi, just changed the front anti roll bar bushes on my 2.0 tdci focus, however my steering is now heavy, pas is working as you can hear the pump (not loud) and it gets heavier when the engine is switched off. Any suggestions?
  5. Hi There!

Hi all, I am currently driving in a 1.3 Fiesta Finesse which I have had for just over a year and I'm just looking for some advice on things to do to my fiesta to make look a bit cooler and general up keeping of my wee ford. Thanks for reading!
  6. Hi guys. Quick questions: 1. Would the rear anti roll bar from a 2009 Ford Focus ST-3 be thicker in dimension and any different than the one on a 2010 Ford Focus 1.6 TDCI? 2. Would there be any benefit from swapping the one currently on my TDCI to the one on the ST-3? Thanks

  8. Hello all! Of course, I'm new here, and I've been asking all over the net about my issue. I've been getting lots of great hints, ideas and advice, but figure that too much information in this case is better than not enough. In short, my family's car is a New Zealand registered 2008 base model Ford Mondeo Sedan. It is a European Ford from Belgium I believe? The vehicle is powered by a 2.0L 'Duratec-HE' engine. The problem is when we turn the key to start the car, there is no cranking at all, just clicking. There is an 'Immobilser Active' warning, strange flickering and whining in the cabin, and strange noises coming from under the hood. We not long completed a road trip of around 900kms return, and the car didn't miss a beat! Yet the very next day. she spat the dummy and wouldn't crank. All I can say is thank goodness it decided to wait till it was home parked in the garage to stop, rather than 5 or 6 hours away from home!!! Anyway, I have put 3 clips on YouTube to show what's happening. They will take around 2-3 minutes to view. 1. 2. 3. Is this going to be an expensive fix? I'm praying not! Anyway, thanks for viewing / reading and thanks for sharing your thoughts! William.
  9. I've currently got a knocking noise coming from the foot well area when going over a bump or uneven surface, I've recently changed the stabiliser bars on the roll bar hoping this would fix the issue, but the noise remains. Is it worth changing the roll bar bushes and seeing if that fixes it or is there anything else it can be. On inspection undeneath the car there appears to be nothing loose that would rattle or knock so am running out of ideas. Cheers.
