  1. Bluetooth installation

So I want bluetooth installed on my Ford Fiesta Edge, 62 plate. I'm just sick of trailing wires and having to find the AUX cable all the time, i want to just get in, select a song and then go, and do everything through the car and not have to pull over and answer a call. I've looked at the parrot things & i don't really want to get one as it's separate from the actual car and i've have to mess around hard wiring stuff in, not what i want. So does anyone know if it's possible to get bluetooth installed as if it was factory fitted? Also where I could get it done? If not what other options do I have. I'm based in Manchester too if that helps. Thanks :)
  2. Sony DAB upgrade

Hi Am looking to fit a Sony DAB 6CD changer to a Mk 2.5 2009 reg Focus. The radio has the Part Number: 8M5T-18C939-MD. Is this compatible?  As I understand it to get DAB working I would need to get The DAB aerial upgrade kit which includes the following .1559265 Aerial Mast.1559268 Aerial Base.1682844 Wiring.1575793 Wiring Could i get away with using some kind of splitter? In the future I will also be looking at upgrading the Bluetooth module which currently exists to one which supports A2DP and possibly USB. My current module has the code 8M5T-19G488-AM which I understand does not support those functions.  Is there anything else I could have missed? Many thanks
  3. Dear All! First of all, thanks for your time reading my first post! I've been searching for in the web for a solution of the following issue. For this, I think it will be better to tell all the history and procedures I made. 1 - I had a 2010 Focus Mk 2,5 Ghia equipped with the Visteon c307 radio. I've used the bluetooth audio to listen music for a while, with no problem. The quality and volume loudness was similar to USB, Radio and CD functions. I was using a Motorola XT1097 to play songs. 2 - Now I have a 2011 Focus Mk2,5 Ghia. Equipped the same stereo. At my first BT connection, the volume was terrible. I was using it on 15 to reproduce similar to 7 on USB. I've downloaded an app to the celphone (Bluetooth Volume) and the problem have been fixed. Although, the volume is the same with other mobiles. 3 - I've broken my phone and bought a new one, same model and Android version. Now, neither the app is working to fix it. I've also tried with an old Nokia phone and a New Iphone 6, none of then presented a satisfactory volume level. 4 - I've updated my bluetooth firmware to 3.30-5, nothing happened to improve it. 5 - Also, my stereo sometimes initiate the voice control by itself and bug the face buttons if I use the steering wheel control. 6 - Using volume booster apps, I have noticed that the sound receive the music loud, and holds the volume. Seem to be a "no clip" function. I have already tried to disable it on the Menu, but it didn't make any difference. Also, changed the EQ, it was properly setted to User. Do you guys have any idea to fix the volume? Thanks in advance and best regards!
  4. Hi all, First post! I've just bought myself a 58 plate Titanium, I'm massively pleased with it, I made sure it had some of the gadgets I wanted such as cruise control, parking sensors etc. knowing that I could have a go at retrofitting the bluetooth myself (and for an added bonus get USB support! - fingers crossed). I know this is a heavily discussed subject, but please bear with me, I have done my research. So, I have the Sony single CD (no DAB) with MP3 support, and I've checked the firmware (press and hold 1 & 6 together then turn on stereo) and it's 05-03-03 so I think I'm also good for USB support. I've also got the correct light housing for the microphone and it looks like I have a wire stowed up there to clip the microphone into. I've taken the glovebox out and I'm pretty positive I don't have the wiring loom for the bluetooth/VC module so this is the only sticking point so far. I'm just about ready to email Ford Parts UK to get a quote and place an order and could do with a few pointers before I go ahead. Any help is hugely appreciated. I have the microphone wire, where does this come out? I had a 3 pin black and red socket taped to the existing AUX input cable, it had white/black, yellow/black, and black cables attached. Is this it? Once I've confirmed, how am I going to attach this up to the new wiring loom? I found an excellent guide to fitting USB in the glovebox with an original bezel to hold the USB here http://www.fordxr5tu...p?topic=12187.0 It says the the Nokia bluetooth module has been replaced with a Novero (1726157 Module (AU7T-19C112-AR) is this OK for my stereo and will it give me full USB/ Voice control support? Once I've got it all installed what do I need to ask Ford to program with the WDS, I've seen various things posted, but I get the feeling I'd turn up and they wouldn't know what I was on about? Can anyone tell me exactly what to ask for? I've gathered part numbers from all over the place, it looks like they get replaced with never versions, can anyone confirm the below? Bluetooth: 1726157 Module (AU7T-19C112-AR, 2010 Module Bluetooth BT/VC+USB Connect) 1353218 Module Bracket 1355147 Screw For Bracket x 2 1318965 Steering Control Stalk 1532666 Bluetooth Mic 1467152 Retrofit patch loom for universal fit. (there seems to be different versions of this for focus/fiesta??) USB: 1543691 USB cable 1543450 USB socket 1550778 Glovebox bezel Finally if anyone can recommend anywhere to get hold of some of the parts other than Ford Parts UK that would be appreciated, I've not had much luck sourcing stuff on ebay.
  5. Hello everybody, I am new here but look forward to providing more topics, I understand this might already be a topic but I am struggling to find it, Whenever I am in my car my Bluetooth will not connect. My phone wont find 'SYNC' and the Bluetooth in the car just comes up with the pairing code, I know that its not my phone as I have had 3 of my mates try, it started two days ago and I have only had the car two weeks now, has anybody else had this problem? 6. Fiesta Mk7 Firmware Update

Evening all, Apologies if this has already been covered, can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. Does anyone know where the firmware updates for the Mk7 head units can be found? All the links online seem to be dead. Is it still possible to find the updates to update the firmware via USB? The bluetooth audio in my ZS is a bit patchy when streaming music from an iPhone running the latest iOS. Cheers.
  7. Ford Sync Bt Audio Shenanigans

Hey Guys! I'm having a weird issue with my Ford Sync... my phone connects fine over Bluetooth for signal/SMS/etc. but whenever I try and play BT audio it immediately disconnects (but the other parts stay connected, like the signal display). I can go onto BT audio with music paused and it'll say "Connect a device", but then the moment I press play it'll flash up for a second with the track/album name and then "Disconnect" so no audio comes through. It was working fine for ages just started doing this recently! Any suggestions?
  8. Ford 6000 Cd Rear Speakers Are Quiet

Hello, I observed that the rear speakers are not working in my car. After a while, I have read the documentation of the ford 6000 cd stereo, and by pressing 3 and 6 simultaneously a surround speaker test can be made. At first only the from speakers were working, but after a few tries I observed that the rear speakers are working in fact, but are very very VERY quiet. I have read the user manual and instructions of the stereo in order to set it up, but I did not find any setup or settings issues. Any other ideas what could cause this, before I will take it to a service and pay to much for to less? Any ideas are welcome, be it software or hardware tips. Thank you in advance Ford drivers community!
  9. Hey everyone. Could someone give me a solution to my problem. My bluetooth, usb and aux are not working. The voice button and the aux button don't work at all and the phone button just mutes the radio. In settings it states that bluetooth is off with no option to turn it on. Nothing happens when the phone is plugged into usb or the headphone jack. So far I've checked the fuses, unplugged the bluetooth module for a while to reset it and removed the radio and sync fuses for a while in hope that it will reset. I've read that a factory reset may work but I can't find a way of doing that. Another one is to unplug the battery but will I not be required to then put a security code into the radio, which I don't have. Thank you in advance for the advice.
  10. Hi all, My friend has a Ford Focus ST 2007 plate, I am currently trying to connect his phone to his Sony Stereo is Is the Sony 6CD 132 I have attached a picture for clarity. Anyway I am trying to connect his phone via Bluetooth. I can find it on the phone as Ford Audio but when I try to connect it says connection unsuccessful. Also there are currently 3 phones connected from previous owners which I can't figure out how to delete. If anyone has this stereo and has successfully connected their phone or knows how to connect it then I would be extremely grateful if you could help me! Thanks Billy
  11. Hi All, New person here! :) Hope you are well :) I have a 2006 Focus ST-3. When I start the car the sat nav (denso - similar to http://www.fordwiki.co.uk/images/6/65/Satelliteinstall1.jpg) unit starts flickering for a while and then it stops and I'm able to use the screen and controls. When I press the phone button though it says "muted" on the screen when it should go into "bluetooh" mode. I know the bluetooth module is faulty as it has been working previously, up until the alternator went which apparently damaged it. I have tried accessing the diagnostics and resetting some of the logs and tried restoring factory default settings which have not worked (from http://www.fordwiki.co.uk/index.php?title=Touchscreen_Sat_Nav_-_Information_and_Diagnostics_-_PART_1). I have 2 things in mind, one to disconnect the bluetooth module (does this mean I will lose audio?) and secondly to replace the module itself (probably later on). I have seen some posts around the internet about pulling out certain fuses and retro fitting modules but I am not really an expert and would appreciate if someone could provide step by step instructions with images or a guide for this specific car and unit. If you have any more questions or need more info please let me know! Thank you!
  12. Hi There I recently purchased a Sony DAB unit on eBay with the intention of upgrading my existing standard stereo. The Sony came off a 2012 fiesta as well so I figured it would be a straight swap (excluding the DAB aerial of course), oh how wrong was I! turns out the Sony unit has an extra 26 pin connector at the back as well as the additional aerial connector (see pic). It also doesn't have the usb plug the standard stereo has (though I'm not really fussed about that as I'm not gong to be using it). So what I want to know is, what is this extra 26pin socket for? can I still use the newer stereo without it? is there some kind of funky franken-connector I need to make in order to get it to work? Or should I sack it off, sell the unit on eBay and find another solution? Some help on this would be greatly appreciated. I've seen similar threads on this before but the other stereo involved was different from my standard one and so the solution doesn't seem to be the same
  13. Hi Guys, I'm new to this forum so hey. I've recently bought a 1.6 petrol 2009 plate Zetec S Fiesta and like some of you before me, I've experienced some frustration with the audio system. It connects via Bluetooth and I can make and receive call via Bluetooth, however what I cannot do is stream music easily. I've been searching through the past posts and someone mention selecting the voice command and saying "External Device/Bluetooth/Play Music" and it will play the music. This is great but I'd like to control the music via the steering wheel buttons, see the track playing on the screen, and select Bluetooth audio via the interface not by voice commands. Things I know: Updated the firmware to the latest one i could find, the 2012 November update. The car does have BluetoothCan make and receive callsUsing voice command I can hear the music streaming through BluetoothThere is no option using the interface to select Bluetooth audio ( why:( )This is the only thing that bugs me about the car, and one of the reasons I had to have a Bluetooth capable car. I hope someone can help if so I'm sure this will help many others. Thanks KumiSinghs
  14. Ford Sync Reset

Hi, Apologies if this has been covered, I've searched and found some info but I'm still a little unsure. I picked up my new 13 plate Fiesta Titanium X, which I believe has Ford Sync and Ford Sync Applications. I can connect my phone via Bluetooth and I can make/receive calls and it seems to access my contacts okay via voice command. However, If I select phone, I am presented with Call Log, Phonebook, redial etc.. But, I can not scroll through the options or select any of the options? The scroller definately works as I can navigate other options fine, clock or vehicle settings for example. I have tried it with no phone connected but still can not navigate through the phone options, I have also noticed that if I select Menu, I can scroll and highlight both Ford Sync Setting and Ford Sync Aplictions but I can not select either. I have tried pushing right in the scroll pad and also selecting okay to no avail? From the posts I have read already it has been suggested that I should pull the fuse for my Sycn but I am a little unsure about this? Can anyone help me out? I've spoken to a Ford dealer, I gave them my VIN number and they said I don't require an update and that they would look at it for £45 ... Trying to avoid this if possible. I have the Sony sound system btw, any advice or input welcome. Thanks in advance. Otherwise, loving my Fiesta!
  15. Usb/bluetooth Module

Hi, My USB in the fiesta has always had issues from pretty much when I had it, from freezing to not recognising the USB. Usually to fix the issue, disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes and reconnecting would sort itself out. Well today, it's had enough it won't work at all. Pressing the AUX button on the dash - does nothing Pressing the bluetooth button on the LH stalk - does nothing I had a quick search on the forum, and people are pointing towards the USB module, after a quick google/youtube, I found this video Edit; Found one on a ford parts website http://www.fordpartsuk.com/shop/ford_fiesta_mobile_phone_bluetooth_voice_control_interface_module___f_1806653_c_460.htm After removing the cables and then re-fitting, the AUX button now changes the screen to (LINE-IN), it recognises that the USB stick is being inserted and removed although won't bring up the option to play any of it. The USB is working in the slot as it is flashing. The bluetooth doesn't work at all, it recognises the phone + contents of phone book although upon dialing it won't connect to the phone at all. My feeling is the module is knackered and requires replacing. Has anyone come across buying one from ebay for example? Thanks
  16. How To Connect Phone To Ford 6000cd

  17. ?less Bluetooth

Hi everyone I have been looking on this website for a little while now and I am about to buy a titanium Ford Fiesta, but I'm a little confused, and don't worry I will be going back to the sales team to find out these things for sure, but in the meantime I am researching like crazy and coming up empty, Basically what it is is is during our meeting today was informed that the car has Bluetooth and voice activation and reads out text messages etc etc, however when looking at home on the "go to website" Ford Etis that that the guy was using in the sales room and bearing in mind I had looked at so many was confused which car had what, he stated that it has the voice activation etc, but on researching myself, it says less Bluetooth, less voice activation nodules, but has this ICE DAB radio. Not quite sure what I'm looking for to see if it has ford sync on there, as on the ford etis website it doesn't list ford sync at all. Does anyone know if it has the ability to sync music and phone calls etc and whether it does have voice activation etc? Can anyone shed any light, or have I completely confused everyone what I'm asking? Thanks everyone and apologies for confusing paragraph.
  18. Fiesta Zetec Mk6.5

Hi guysJust bought myself a 2008 Fiesta for driving to work/running about. I'm not planning on making any major modifications to it, just replaced a few bulbs, tinted the windows and stuck some wind deflectors on. So far it's got Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited headlights, Osram Cool Blue Intense sidelights (not as white as I'd hoped, dunno whether to stick some LED's in there instead to replace them), Team Heko Wind Deflectors, tinted rear windows, replaced interior light/boot light and number plate lights with white LED's. Also replaced the horrendous rubber gear gaitor with a leather one! Got some fog lights on the way too should be here soon. Here are some pics quite poor quality will get some better ones and some night time ones when possible!
  19. Hi fella's :) I'm looking to change my head unit in the focus. I thought if starting this thread to discuss all forms of in car entertainment from Sat Navs, Cd players to In car dash cams and other In car gadgets. The idea here is to discuss what others have installed and the good and bad points and maybe come up with a list of the "Best for the price" in car Gadgets so any one who is looking for advice or anything can just come to this thread and see what everyone's opinion is on the best priced gadgets. Since I'm looking to get a new head unit I think we may start with these as there are a good few out there. I came across this one one eBay. FORD 7089CU 7" Ford mx-6004B Now I do know some of these units as a few issues in the earlier version but from some reviews I have read these are getting some very positive comments. i also love the way they look OEM fitted when installed. Three are a few different ones on this listing here : Ford focus In car Sat Nav Units A Few questions to anyone who may have one. Does anybody have any of these installed? What Model have you got? How is it preforming ? what do you think it it for the money ? Any pictures or video of it installed or working would be great and helpful to others when choosing one Thanks To All.
  20. Mk3 Stereo Upgrade To Sony

Sure this has potentially been asked a few times,, but here we go! I currently own a MK3 53 reg Zetec s mondeo (facelift) with the 6000 stereo as standard.. Have purchased the Sony 6cd changer that was bought from a 2005 ST It all plugs in, works perfect with AUX, steering wheel controls etc, but it does not want to fit inside the dash, the face of the stereo sits a lot more of a slant compared the the standard Does anyone know the solution to making this sit inside the dash? Many thanks in advance Matthew
  21. Sony 6000Cd Upgrade

I'm new to the site and need some info! I've just got a 2010 focus estate fitted with a Sony 6000cd stereo. been trawling the net trying to find a possible replacement stereo with a usb port and came across the ford music box usb cable. Has anyone had one fitted and what's the audio quality like?? also does anyone know of a stereo with a usb port the same shape as the 6000cd that would be a direct replacement and still have all the steering wheel controls/voice activation?? has the DAB version got a usb and could it be a replacement?? I don't really want to go to the hassle of replacing the whole facia ect... Any info would be a great help!!!
  22. Hi everyone. I am after a bit of advice and help. I have a Ford Focus with the Sony stereo (image attached). When I first brought the car I pressed the phone button and it came up with audio muted. I took the glove box out and disconnedted the Nokia bluetooth wire from the box and plugged it back in, all worked well, or so I thought. When I turn the bluetooth off on the car or my iphone and then the next day try and connect the two I get the audio muted message again. I then have to reset the bluetooth to connect again. Can anyone help me with this? I obviously don't want to disconnect the bluetooth every time I want to use it. Thanks in advance for helping me out guys.
  23. Hi all, I'm new to this, but need some help! The bluetooth in my focus has stopped working, along with all other associated functions of the bluetooth box (No voice control, no bluetooth, USB no longer charging or connecting, Aux not working. Aux and voice control buttons do nothing, Phone button now just mutes the stereo) From looking around a few forums, people seem to say unplugging the bluetooth unit and plugging it back in should solve this problem. Can anyone please tell me where I can located the bluetooth unit?? The other suggestions people have include: - Updating the firmware [but my USB isn't functioning, so I don't think I can do this?] - Unplugging the battery for 20 mins [i don't know the code for my stereo, where could I find this out?] Any help would be massively appreciated! Thanks very much! Found this picture of the stereo I have in someone else's car:
