  2. Hello everyone, I'm quite new to this site and it would be great to meet some car like-minded people. My name's Phil and I own a Ford Crown Victoria P71 Police Interceptor. Biggest engine I've had being a 4.6L V8 so my wallet isn't going to like what's coming next. Feels like eternity going through the import process but finally picking it up next week! Going to be turning it into a Florida Sheriff's car to give it bit of a unique touch. Pics below show it before (as it was when I got it from Florida) to what I'm going to be doing it up as. Thanks,
  3. Hi, I have a mk2 focus 1.8 duratec with 53,000 miles on it. When I'm on the motorway the car feel jerky when accelerating, almost feels likes it misfiring, anything over quarter of a throttle it jerks and feels like it's holding back, really annoying . Parts replaced for other reasons are, 02 sensors, map sensor I have also tried a set of coils and no difference. Any help would be very appriciated! I have brought an egr blanking plate so am going to try that.
  4. Police Scotland - Speeding Van

Hi, Was wondering what the chanches of been caught was doing between 90-95MPH on my speedo around 400-600 yards away then slammed the brakes straight away ... Was just wondering what the distance of the vans catching you are ? Are they fully automatic ? Is there any other contributing factors ? It looked like a standard police van if the camera out the window at the side facing on coming traffic ... Will hit Google maps up for a more accurate estimate and update everyone ! What's the longest you need to wait before you find out if your caught ? Thanks guys!
  5. Oldest Police Car??

So today I saw this, and couldn't resist the temptation to take a picture: Personally for me, this is the oldest police car I have ever seen in my county. Anyone seen older, still in use?
  6. Hi There!

Hi all, I am currently driving in a 1.3 Fiesta Finesse which I have had for just over a year and I'm just looking for some advice on things to do to my fiesta to make look a bit cooler and general up keeping of my wee ford. Thanks for reading!
  7. Focus Lack Of Power

Hi all, I recently bought a Focus 1.6 2001 for my sins which seems to lack power. It's most noticeable when driving on the motorway around an uphill incline when it actually slows down when I'm flooring it in 5th. I've checked the air filter which is fine and thinking about changing the fuel filter and spark plugs. Also suspect that the timing could be a notch or two out. Anyone got any ideas? Cheers Princey
  8. I've got a 2005 05 plate Focus 1.9tdci Ghia that had done 100000miles, and it's been fine up until a month ago. I was on way down to Southampton, and after leaving the motorway after a 70odd mile stint the car just die when I came to stop at the roundabout, on the slip way. The car then would not start. I had no warning lights up at all, when tried to start it it just never fired up. Anyway after a long wait Green Flag came out and diagnostic it; showing nothing wrong . I drove it home without any problem about 80 miles on motorways and dual carriageways. Then about 2 week later the same thing happened. The Green Flag came out and believed it could be the crank sensors. The diagnostic shown nothing again. It started any after about an hour. We took it to the garage and had the sensors changed. The next time we went on the motorway the same thing happened again at the same place. We have been driving it around Town without any problems during this time. , tried it and still wouldn't start, got towed to garage and then it magically started!! So I ran it for next month, just local driving and it was fine. Then at the weekend when on motorway again, shorter journey this time, but same thing happened when left motorway and came to stop, but this time it started after 20mins and was fine for rest of journey. Took it to garage again and diagnostic it again, but it came up with no problem. Been told it might be fuel pump, fuel injectors or fuel rail, but don't want to chuck money at the car if it's not going to fix it, and we won't be sure if it's fixed because when it's at the garage it's not broken! Has anyone else had a similar problem or know what the problem might be? Lord
  9. Hi guys, Just a quick question for those in the know! I just went under a bridge on the M40 with a police van doing speed checks, I was definitely going over the limit (no fault but my own). But my question is, do they check both sides of the motorway? The van was over the opposite side of the motorway on the furthest side of the bridge. However I could clearly see the blacked out window from where I was. (Had a merc up my backside, thought I'd quickly speed up and pass the car on my left to let him through, then looked up to see the police van...) Cheers for the help, Dan
  10. Following its movie debut this Summer in the crime thriller, The Sweeney, the Police have taken such a liking to Ford’s all-new ST that they’re now evaluating it for official duties. http://skiddmark.com/2012/10/fords-focus-st-cops-out/#
