  1. Hi all, First post so be kind :) Been looking around at all the different touches that people have been making to their Focus's and seeing how good they looked decided I needed to have a go at some of them! Going to start off by sorting out the interior lighting. Would really appreciate some pointers on a couple of things.. Boot light - I've ordered these LEDs to replace the poor excuse for a bootlight, just wanted to double check they the right ones? Planning on using Lenny's excellent guide to add an extra bootlight. Courtesy light - Mine being a lowly Sport spec I only get the single courtesy light (not the one with the map lights) and was wondering if I would be able to replace it with this? What LEDs would I need to replace each one with? Also any pointers as to how to go about it would really appreciate it. Glove box - Again just wondering which LED I would need to replace it with and any tips on how to go about it? Thanks for reading

  3. Help! my daughter has just bought a 2002 Ka with a broken sliding door style glove box. We have managed to get a spare one but it appears to come out from below the dashboard, however the 3 screws that secure the box at the back are screwed downwards from above behind the dashboard and there doesn't seem to be an easy way to remove them. Any ideas please?

  5. Removing Glove Box Carpet

Hi. I've got 2 problems with my Mk1 Focus, both of which require removing the glove box and the carpet kick panel below it. But I can't work out how to remove that carpet. There are 2 or 3 plastic screws in plastic plugs that look to be holding it on. However, I can't unscrew them. Is that normal? Should I just force them out somehow? All help appreciated. Thanks (FYI: I need to get to the blower fan because it's stopped, and both my electric windows have just stopped working and I hear there's something that can work loose behind the fuse box.)
  6. Unplugged Wire

Hi I unplugged a wire yesterday just behind my glove box when looking to find the cause of an annoying rattle. Despite this, the car still seems to run fine(?) I was wondering if anyone could tell me what the wire is for and how to go about reconnecting it? - it has the brand name Hella on it and a code starting BA6
  7. Hi, Sorry if i've posted in the wrong place. I got my focus in Feb, now the weather is hot i noticed the air con isn't working. After digging around for my fuse boxes, and refferring to the hand book with the car, I have noticed that the layout is different. Does anyone know if this is the correct fuse box for an '07 focus zetec climate? My air con clutch doesn't kick in, i've swapped relays under the bonnet and checked the fuses. After trying to figure out the glove box board i'm stumped. I've found stuff on this site showing the same as my manual, but not what I have in my car. I'm hoping there is either a fuse missing or in the wrong place, or I think i'll just have to deal with the heat! lol. As a side note, all i get from the blower is warm air, the a/c light turns on but no clutch noise. I tried to re-gas the system but it looks like it's full.... I regassed a Meriva I had before this car which worked..... now i'm fearing the worst!! Thanks in advance. Nick
