  4. Hello everyone, I have a Ford Escort MK6 1.8l Ghia '95. I have not modified it except putting on Akina Speed star stickers from Initial D. I have completed my first Trackday and hope to do more and make my car more track ready than it is. But I know I will be doing alot more trackdays in the near future (in the hope one day doing the trackday/team trophy). :D Any tips and advice would be great and highly appreciated :) David :D
  5. Edit: AKA C-track Hi! I can't see how to remove the ends of the T-track roof rails (black groove type) of my 2005 Focus estate. A front one (about 20cm long) is loose at the front and removing the rear ones (about 6cm long) will help me deal with water ingress through the seam under them. How are they kept on? Are they held in place by the T-tracks or do they just "unplug" some how? I am scared of applying a lot of force incase I do some damage!
  6. Fiesta Diesel On Track Day?

I am a massive racing fan. And I have been on the odd track day In a petrol car, but I have a 2010 1.4 fiesta diesel at the moment. And I was wondering what others think of a car like this on a track day? I know it won't be fast, and will get out of people's way in faster cars, and I am aware that whilst it might not be as much fun as a petrol car, just looking for people's thoughts on this. As I said I'm a huge racing fan and like stuff like this, but I can't really afford a petrol car with the tax etc, but I'm just after a bit of fun. Anyone on here taken a diesel on a track, or know anyone that does?
  7. Hi all, long time reader first time poster. Recently bought myself a Ford Fiesta MK7 edge and it's fantastic in each and every way :-) There is one minor gripe though which I'm hoping you guys may be able to help me out with........ When I plug my iPod into the headunit using the USB cable, I can listen to music from it with no problem and can scroll from track-to-track, but cannot navigate between albums/tracks/artists etc using the built in menu. Instead of being presented with a selection of 'Artist', 'Album', 'Genre' etc. - all I see is 'Track 0'. There are no other options. Unfortunately, this means I need to unplug my ipod and select the album of my choice before I start driving or use the AUX cable instead (which doesn't charge it up when driving). This ipod menu navigation did used to work but just stopped one day for some reason; is this a common problem which can easily be fixed as I've never heard about it before. I've also tried another ipod with it, but am experiencing the same problem. Given this, the fault is with the headunit. (FYI It's the built in one but without handsfree bluetooth capability.) I'll probably take it into my nearest service center soon for them to have a look at it (as it's still under warranty) but is there anything else I could try before I do this? Many thanks.
  8. Hi There!

Hi all, I am currently driving in a 1.3 Fiesta Finesse which I have had for just over a year and I'm just looking for some advice on things to do to my fiesta to make look a bit cooler and general up keeping of my wee ford. Thanks for reading!
  9. i know this will sound kinda pathetic. but i want to get into track days. the problem is i have a 2010 fiesta 1.4...........diesel. not exactly exciting. but its all i have at the moment, and i have a track within 5 miles of my home. so rather than buy a purpose car, i wanted to try it out 1st as its not exactly cheap. so has anyone here used a diesel or known anyone using a diesel as a track day car? i know it wont be fast but it would just be nice to drive fast (ish) without any cameras watching. and obviously i would hasty move over if someone in a fiesta ST for example came flying through.
  10. New Mondeo Orders

Hi all. I'm buying a new Mondeo and wondering how long this is going to take to be delivered from the Genk factory. I know there was a strike on from late October 2012, and few days ago, finally, the strike ended. When I was ordering, the dealer told me that there is currently strike in factory, and he doesn't know how long will it take, but the good thing was that the car had already been built by that time. I have the VIN number of it, so am wondering whether there is a way to track the delivery or not? Also please advise, if you know, how long is the delivery to Ireland takes ? Many thanks in advance.
  11. Hi, I've just joined to be able to ask this question, I've read similar posts with people having the same problems but I still can't find an answer. I've had my fiesta for about 3 months now and one thing i've been very pleased with is the way the audio system works. Allowing me to connect my iPod and then through the ford iPod navigation system be able to select a playlist, an artist or chose to shuffle my entire library. However, this has suddenly stopped working. I can still play music through my iPod and skip tracks but i am unable to use any of the other relevant features, which is incredibly annoying! I now have to chose a playlist or song prior to connecting it to the ford audio system, and when i press any buttons which would have previously displayed the options relevant to having an iPod connected, such as playlist, artist, song, genre - i now get the message 'please wait' and then it just returns to the title of the song already playing. It's an iPod nano 6th generation connected to the ford audio system with a standard iPod usb cable - i haven't changed anything to do with the iPod during the time it was working fine to not working. Apologies, for the long-winded questions! Any tips or comments from people who have encountered the same problem would be hugely appreciated. I have the same problem when trying to use another iPod and when attaching an aux cable as well.
