Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  2. Stereo upgrade?

Hi guys, I'm new here! :) recently bought a 2014 fiesta! not a big fan of the stereo (pictured) can anyone advise on which aftermarket stereo is best and will work with the steering controls? I've already found a fitting kit (pictured) just wondering about the actual stereo itself! Cheers!
  3. S-Max Rear parking camera

Hi! I've got S-Max 2012 with Blaupunkt NX. After a crash I got new back door with rear view parking camera (I think it could be original). How hard it could be to connect it to the navigation screen? Is there already some connecting cables to the back from radio?

  5. Is there any method of installing puddle lights onto the wing mirrors to come on and stay on for the same duration as the interior & side lights when the car unlocks? out of curiosity.
  6. Hello, A few months ago, I had ST coilovers (part #90321) installed on my 2012 Fusion at a local shop. The install went well at first and the car handled great. However, after a few weeks the car developed a loud clunk/popping noise in the rear left. I took it back to the original shop and they thought it was likely a bad endlink. So I ended up replacing the endlink to no avail, the noise was still there after. Next, I took the car to another local shop and they had an idea that it was the spring isolator. I emailed ST and they said there should be no isolator installed, just the spring perch included in the original kit. So I sent them a picture of both sides and they said both sides looked ok. They thought that one side was probably a little higher than the other and sure enough they were right - the left side was about half an inch off so I raised it. Still no luck, the car is a little less harsh now but the annoying clunk is still there. I'm wondering if it's possibly a bushing - such as one in the Upper Control Arm making this noise and the shops are missing it. It's been driving me crazy and I'm not sure what the next option is short of reverting to stock. Thanks for reading! Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
  7. Hey all First time posting here, so apologies in advance if I've posted this in the wrong category. I purchased a Pioneer SPH-DA120 and want to fit it in my 2008 Ford Focus Titanium Saloon. I know I'll need additional accessories like a cage, wiring looms, etc, and that's what I'm here for. Can anyone tell me what I need to get? Currently I've got the factory fitted Sony unit. Thanks in advance for any info.
  8. Hey everyone, I am in a right pickle, i am having my 61 plate Fiesta upgraded to a DAB radio, but the boff's down at my local Ford for all their hard work cannot get the DAB to work, or fire into life!???? They have got the DAB radio.. Radio AHU DAB, put the aerial in + mast, ran the cable down to the boot area and put this module in that goes in, which is like a secondary aerial for DAB. Got a black n white screen and put that on, think they mentioned "some" programming of the screen so that it would work with the radio. Radio works, but they cannot get the dab to work??? If anyone has done this, or there is a Ford Tech that can offer some light, i would be very very grateful! They have just drawn a blank now, they said the display screen is also a module apparently, and there were certain parts that may need programming to the brain of the car, even a worry the car would not work?????? If any of you have an idea, please just mention it, it may be the one bit they are missing, but they said it all works, just not the DAB, like some sort of diagnosis box to tick to tell the car there IS DAB....!?? Please Help..
  9. Hi all. Just wanted to document and put a few pictures of the audio upgrade that I am planning for my wife's 2006 Seat Leon 1.6 R (petrol) MK2 audio system. I recently upgraded my own head unit in my Focus to the AVH-X8700BT and the previous unit, Pioneer AVH-X2500BT was not going to be used. Rather than sell it on, I decided to install it in my wife's car as she didn't have bluetooth, aux in etc. She's not overly concerned with sound quality unlike myself and would need more the functionality of handsfree bluetooth calling and music streaming. I plan on doing the upgrades step wise like I did in my own car. Phase one: Head unit upgrade with all wiring, fascia, adaptor, mic etc wires in. I think this will make the most noticeable impact in functionality and sound improvement. I have acquired most of the parts and only one needed to be picked up later on is a 3.5mm 1.8m Aux cable, just in case it's required down the line. 1. Fascia, ISO loom and stereo removal keys bought from Ebay. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171470784318?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT 2. Headunit, wiring, USB extender, Mic, fascia surround, cage and stereo removal keys.

  13. Hello, I am looking for a complete walk through on turning my manual windows to electric. Currently my passenger window is being held up with Sellotape until I get a few days off to fix it, but I though I might aswell turn them electric while I'm at it. I've been told the wiring is probably already there, is that true? What do I need to buy? A full walk through on what I need to do? And any hints and tips? Thank you :)
  14. Hey guys, I know my car has rear speaker grills but no actual speakers behind them, I removed the rear door cards on both sides and was surprised to find there is absolutely zero wiring for rear speakers whatsoever. The space is completely empty, and I really wanted to install some rear speakers... (And yes there is a fader option on my stereo) Am I going to have to go through the ball ache of running wires all through the car to get to the rear doors, or am I missing something? :( Thanks in advance (:
