  1. Replace locks on Mk7 Fiesta

Hi all, We recently purchased a MK7 fiesta as a second car for the missus, that unfortunately came with just one key from a private seller. I'm aware that's quite common, but being a bit obsessed about security, i'm thinking of replacing the locks. I can probably source the parts from a breaker and fit them myself in hope the overall cost would be slightly higher than buying a second key (with fob) and getting it cut. I'm just wondering if i really need to source the ECU or could do without it. I've seen some sellers giving you the speedo and ECU together with the lock barrels, but my (limited) experience tells me that shouldn't be required, unless it's something to do with the immobilizer. I was thinking i need the following: Ignition barrel Driver's door barrel (without the mechanism) Delete any existing fobs and reprogram the new ones (Is this possible using ELM?) Are those correct? Did i forget anything? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hi, I just wondered how to remove the front and rear ford badge on my mk7 Fiesta. It looks like they are just stuck on but I read somewhere they could be bolted? If that's the case could someone please tell me how to access this? Or if I just need to heat it and use dental floss or something... Thanks!
  3. Exhaust Fitment

will an exhaust backbox from a mk7 1.6 zetec s fit my mk7.5 1.0 zetec s red edition? Any help greatly appreciated
  4. Hi guys Welcome to my progress thread! Well, my old mk6.5 was written off unfortunately and my friend who works for Ford recommended the new Zetec S to me, and after a few weeks of looking around I decided it was the sensible choice for me. I picked up my Panther Black Zetec S from a Ford garage on the 31st of October, it's the 1.0 Ecoboost 125ps, 1 Owner from new, 6,471 miles, one service on it and there extras consist of; Privacy glass, Upgraded 17" alloys, City Pack and Start/Stop pack. It was one of the ford guy's girlfriends car, only sold it back to them because they got an upgrade because of his job, so something nice and legit, and no dodgy reasons! I don't have a proper list of what I want to do just yet, but a Stage 1 Revo remap and new exhaust system is on the cards. But for now I'll just be adding bits on here and there but will be sure to post about it! Ordered a pack of LED's last night so hopefully they're going to turn up some point this week. Here are some of the photos the day I officially bought her! And the day after, picking her up! Couldn't quite believe how clean it was... Thanks for reading :)
  5. Bluetooth retrofit fiesta mk 7

I've done a bit of searching around but havent really found anything. I've been using a Bluetooth aux device thing for some time now but it's just a pain to use. Does anyone know if it's possible to retrofit or upgrade my current system so it has Bluetooth in? I have a ford fiesta mk 7 - Edge trim - pre facelift If someone could give me some guidance on this it would be greatly appreciated.
  6. Fiesta MK7.5 Belt Slip

Hi Guys, I have a MK7.5 Fiesta Colour Edition 1.25. I noticed it seemed hesitant on full throttle at round 2.5-3.5K RPMS. I revved this at standstill and noticed belt squeak and then tried this when driving and the belt sounds like its slipping which causes the drop in power. Any suggestions? The car is new and only bought in February and now only has 3600 miles on it.
  7. Hi all, My names Jason, I'm 23 and live in Burton, Staffordshire. I'm new to the forum but have previously been a member of Zetec S Owners Club & Fiesta STOC. First off a brief history of my car past. My first car was a MK7 Fiesta Zetec S Metal Edition! Next up, was a Panther Black Fiesta ST3 (MP215) Due to my circumstances changing, having to do a lot of long distance driving, I had to sell her :( and get a MK3 1.6 TDCI Focus Zetec. Got me from A to B and a solid reliable car all round. Had a surprising amount of talk and felt more powerful than 115 BHP, and the gear box actually felt really nice. But it was just too slow and boring for my liking, so as soon as I was able to I got rid of that. And so that leads me to now, my new beaST, a Frozen White Fiesta ST3 with ALL the trimmings! Collection Day: So I plan on keeping this car for quite a while (until I can eventually afford a MK3 Focus RS - my next goal!) More Pics after her first clean: I was going to go with Mountune to keep the warranty...but it's a 65 plate and only has 1 1/2 years left on it...so by the time I have the Mountune stuff done, it will be out of warranty anyway. So I plan on going with REVO instead. My overall goal is to have Stage 4 w/ Hybrid Turbo. That being said, my first performance mod may still be the MP215 kit as well as the Mountune Exhaust as I think they both finish the car off nicely and will keep me going till the warranty runs out. So in the mean time it will be mostly cosmetic mods + MP215 and Mountune Cat Back. First thing I did was have the front lip wrapped matte black with a red pin stripe. I think this looks great on the white and makes the front look a lot more aggressive. Next up, I swapped the front headlights for white 6000k bulbs. I will eventually be getting HIDs installed but this was just to keep me going until I order a full HID kit. I will also be replacing the Fog lamp bulbs with white 6000Ks. (Haven't got a good picture of these yet but when I do I'll post one) Next I added my Leather ST seatbelt covers from my last ST. Haven't got a pic of these either yet but when I do I'll add to the post. I also added a ST badge logo in the void on the steering wheel as I'll be getting a cover eventually and that would cover up the logo already on the wheel. Think I'm gonna swap with for the black gel one from DMB eventually though. Next one is gonna be a marmite mod, I can tell. Ordered these decals from eBay. Everyone so far loves them but I imagine some wouldn't. And finally today, my Team Heko wind deflectors came. I added a red pin stripe, but not sure if I'm gonna keep it or not yet....I haven't decided if I like it or not...thoughts? So that's where she stands at the moment! I have some white LEDs coming Monday for the number plate and interior lights so I'll update when they are fitted as well as get some pics of the exterior lights and seat belt covers. Thanks for looking guys! I'll be keeping this thread updated when more mods happen. Got big plans for this car in the future and I'm really looking forward to achieving them and having you all involved! Any feed back is much appreciated :) - J
  8. First time posting and looking for some info! I recently purchased some h&r lowering springs for my 1.25 preface fiesta. A friend has offered to fit them but has asked me if im going to need/have modified links. Hes said that for something around 30mm it should be fine but im dropping mine 50mm and so he isnt sure. Am i going to need some or will it be a straight swap with my current springs? any help is appreciated!:)
  9. Hi, I want to lower my car but I don't know weather to buy Eibach or H&R lowering springs? I only want to lower the car by about 30-35mm and I can buy either and have them fitted for almost the same cost. Anyone got either of these on their 1.0 Fiesta and can share their experiences or thoughts? Many thanks, Tom :)
  10. So, my first post on the forums (please go easy on me)! 😂 Anyway, here goes… I have a Ford Fiesta Mk7 (58 Reg - 2009) which came with the numerical dial-pad stereo and Bluetooth only from factory, and wanted to upgrade to have both USB and Bluetooth streaming enabled. After reading some threads here and a bit of research, I decided to take the plunge and purchased a Novero 8M5T-19C112-AT module off of eBay, replacing the Novero 6M2T-19G488-AG module, along with the appropriate fascia for the AUX and USB ports and routing the USB cable from the module to it. I then got on to a local garage who happily programmed via Ford IDS, the parameters (that others have mentioned several times): 'USB Accessory Unit' > 'With USB Unit and iPod function' and 'Bluetooth Handsfree' > 'BT/VC Phone Interface + USB connect'. I also remember some kind of BVC setting that was either 'Low' or 'High' (or something involving those words). Attempted update via USB to update module/stereo which showed as being successful on the stereo display. Unfortunately, here are the symptoms: USB power does work. When plugging a USB stick in, it can see the MP3 files but will not play back (reverting back to AUX). Pressing the AUX button multiple times does nothing. iPod and USB options do now appear, but only accessible when respective device is connected; However, no Bluetooth option visible. 'External Device' voice commands result in 'Not Possible' response. Connecting devices via Bluetooth and attempting to stream audio does not play sound through the car stereo, although devices appear to play like 'normal'. Pulling stereo and module fuses to force power reset does not work. Disconnecting USB and module loom cable to force reset does not work. Don't know if anyone remembers coming across this issue, but I've tried to see if anyone else had similar issues on the web forums, but no real luck, apart from one quite similar, if not the same situation, that involved making sure both relevant parameters were programmed via Ford IDS. Therefore: Could the incorrect BVC parameter of either 'Low (non-branded)' or 'High (non-branded)' affect the functions? Possibility of malfunctioning module? Is it normal for iPod and USB options not to do anything unless connected? Might just be the display, but it does kind of look like the iPod and USB options are hashed out? Does the actual stereo/relevant equipment need updating via Ford IDS or is updating via standard USB connection adequate enough? Apologies for such a detailed post, but hope it's good enough for anyone to fully understand the situation. Would be good to get it working! Let me know what you guys think. Much appreciated! P.S. Oh, and also anyone with Ford IDS who can help in the Leeds/West Yorkshire region?
  11. Hi I have a question about power folding mirrors. I was checkingthe fuse box underneath the glove box and notice I have the right fuse box with one of the relays, however I have noticed the second relay is not there, but also the input to put the relay is not there either. Does anyone know why and how i can get passed this? Hope that makes sense.
  12. Hi people, I'm keeping my MK2 diesel Focus and potentially looking to buy a 2nd car (for the wife). I noticed in the MK7, the 1.6 petrol appears to offer significantly more performance than the 1.4 whilst seemingly being able to still offer decent MPG, so it's the engine I'm looking at. Is there anything specific I need to look out for or checking in relation to MK7 in general (but especially the engine)?
  13. Hi there, I just purchased a used Pre Facelift MK7 2013 Ford Fiesta Ambiente. The car only has an AUX port located at the handbrake. My previous car had an aftermarket radio installed which had an USB port that I wish I could have in my new vehicle. I was wondering if it is possible to remove the AUX connection and replace it with an AUX and USB as I have seen the higher models have them installed. It is the entry level sound system which I have installed and I'm wanting to upgrade it all without having to buy an aftermarket radio as getting an aftermarket faceplate will be a hassle in my current location and getting one made is not a simple task. Has anyone successfully installed one and can guide me on what parts are needed? I have spoken to someone in Ford sales and they said the wire harness might be different and would get back to me but I have not heard from them. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. With Thanks
  14. I'm am sorry for what you are about to read😂 I am a rookie Hi, I am 17 and as my first car I have a Ford Fiesta Zetec 2010 black. I have never been into cars but now I own one I am constantly looking at things to improve or make the car look better on the eye. I have put a zetec s spoiler on but am unsure about anything else? Been looking at diffusers for the rear end but haven't got a clue how to fit it or if any garage would be fine doing it? If so what price? Also exhausts anyone know any cheap but well made ones? If so would it be expensive to get fitted at a standard garage. Also My alloys are silver have been looking to get blacked out, would it make the car look any better? Any other ideas? Wont let me upload any photos unfortunately Cheers
  15. Hi, I bought a k&n i57 cone filter for my mk7 Zetec s fiesta.. soon as I installed it the idle has dropped low and sounds a bit lumpy.. I'm thinking it could be the mixture from the air and petrol anyone know how to adjust this used to be a screw on the older cars was told by my dad but is it something different on these? Please help anyone also the engine management light has come on and searched this and seen people say it went off on its own after a little while but still wanna make sure.. thanks
  16. Hi, bit of an interesting one here. I activated the 'test' mode on my Mk7.5 fiesta the other day and noticed that there is an 'auto stop start' light built in to the dashboard display. Is it possible, or has anyone tried to retrofit and activate start stop onto a Fiesta when it isn't built in. My car in particular is an early 2013 Zetec Fiesta MK7.5. Thanks in advance :)
  17. Hey, ive got a remapped 1.0 zetec s and I've just put a r-sport induction on it and I'm not 100% sure but it feels like it doesn't pull as hard? Is this normal? Ahha tia
  18. Fiesta Mk7 Firmware Update

Evening all, Apologies if this has already been covered, can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for. Does anyone know where the firmware updates for the Mk7 head units can be found? All the links online seem to be dead. Is it still possible to find the updates to update the firmware via USB? The bluetooth audio in my ZS is a bit patchy when streaming music from an iPhone running the latest iOS. Cheers.
  19. For some reason my fan came on as soon as I turned my engine on and it's not stopped since, this hasn't happened before normally it'll come on for a few minutes once I've turned my engine off. I'm assuming this isn't normal? Can anyone advise me on what I should do? ***update, my battery has gone flat yet my car wasn't on, now my car won't even lock so waiting on breakdown recovery***
  20. Evening all, I've been wanting to add some interior LED's to my beloved MK7 for a while now, but am stuck on what to get. I am looking for some interior LED's that have multiple colour options. Any suggestions? Karlos
  21. Hey, new member here! I'm Nathan, 21, from Bradford. Had my zetec s for around a year now but only just got into the whole "modding scene" so I'm still learning... be kind Not going for any mods too big or too expensive just yet so only got the Halos and the Batman v Superman badge. Birthday this month so once that's out of the way I'll hopefully be adding something new to the car if anybody has any ideas. Thanks:)
  22. Hi, I've tried to look on here and online for an answer as well as asking a few friends but I can't seem to find anything... I know that you can swap the MK6 Fiesta rear wiper with the MK7 for a smarter look etc but I was just wondering, as the MK7 Fiesta rear wiper is 1" longer than my MK6 rear wiper does that mean that I can use the same rubber length for the MK7 Fiesta in the MK7 Fiesta wiper? I have had a look and I don't think this will impede on the connection, just the length and I can see I have about 2" clearance with my MK6 Fiesta rear window.. Any ideas would be great! Thank you 😊
  23. Hi there, I'm pretty new on here although I've been a member on and off for years. I have a 2011 (61) Fiesta Zetec 1.4 auto which I'm 'updating'. Btw, I'm 47 so this could be a mid life crisis in disguise! It is, obviously, pre-facelift I've fitted the part leather seats from a 2014/15 titanium and also installed the black fascia Ford Sat Nav DAB system. I figured out the seat wiring differences too. Heres the problem. My old Ford stereo set up had factory Bluetooth and worked great. I've now fitted the later system and I can't find Bluetooth on it and my iPhone doesn't see the audio system either. I CAN find SYNC options on the MENU screen but I cannot get in to them. Am I missing a piece of hardware? Or just a few marbles and failing to see an obvious solution? Also, while the sat nav worked straight away (and, my God, the screen is gorgeous compared with my old red LED screen!), I cannot get the display to show time and date. The dashes are there --:-- for time and --.--.---- for date and I've tried changing the DATE/TIME settings from manual to auto GPS but it doesn't make a difference. Oh, and my VOICE button no longer works. Again, am I missing something physical or mental? Lastly, on the back of the screen are 3 connectors. Red, black and blue. The blue one is gps and I've added an antenna. Anyone know what the other two are for? Any help or advice would be great, thank you. Andy
  24. Got a 62 MK7 Fiesta, and like many people am frustrated by the boot light simply not being any use if I'm rummaging around trying to find something, Ideally, I'd like a brighter bulb that just slots in however an LED strip would also work, however I'm only looking for a 'Plug and Play' solution, I'm no good with soldering wires or taking apart wiring looms! I've seen this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LED-car-boot-interior-engine-bay-lighting-kit-red-blue-green-orange-purple-white-/201476386311?#ht_1449wt_648 which is the kind of thing I'm looking for. Anyone have any experience using these / advice for a better type that makes it easier to install? Cheers
  25. Ford Fiesta MK 7 Spoiler Screws

Hi all, I fitted an ST spoiler to my Ford Fiesta MK 7 some time ago now. It looks great, but there is a problem that I've been putting to the back of my head ever since and I haven't sorted it. Basically if look where the spoiler is screwed in with 4 screws, one of the screws doesn't go in, I think the hole may be too big and the screw just doesn't bite. It's not a major issue, the spoiler is more than secure, but when I close the boot it makes a rattling sound (obviously where there isn't a screw and isn't held down fully) Has anyone experienced this? If so how did you sort it. If not does anyone have any suggestions on how I can solve this? Can post pictures if needed. :)
