Posting in General Chat thread.   11/11/2017

it has been noted that too many Members are posting messages in the General Chat area instead of the correct Forums. Any messages posted in the General Chat area that are not General Chat will be deleted without warning and offenders may recieve warning points if repeated instances are seen from that Member. There are plenty of different Club areas that encompass 99% of Ford related posts, please select and use the correct one. If anyone is not sure of which area to post something then feel free to P/M myself or other Senior Staff for guidance. The Moderating Staff are having to spend far too much time chasing this problem instead of maintaining the other areas of the forum.

  1. SHOW US YOUR MK2

Show us all your mk2! modified or standard! I'll start!
  2. Incoming Newbie

Hi everyone. I'm picking up my 2014 Ford Fiesta this weekend. Its a Titanium X so full of gadgets :). Have any of you modified yours in anyway? I was also told when I paid for this that it has Sat Nav capabilities I just need an SD card with the software on, is that true? I've also attached a couple of photos :-).
  3. So, I recently underwent a build on my 2015 Fiesta ST. It's now pushing around 250bhp with all the necessary parts. I've had some issues with the front right tyre being gouged by the wheel arch (since sorted). Strange it only happened on the drivers side though... The real thing worrying me is that whenever I put my foot flat in first and second gear I get a grinding/crunching feel through the gas pedal. Originally I thought this was where the arch was rubbing but it hasn't gone away since raising the suspension. My garage assures me this is normal, and is just due to fact there's a lot more torque going through the wheels now. Has anyone else experienced this? I'd rather check and be safe before doing some damage. Thanks, Nathan.
  4. Hi guys Welcome to my progress thread! Well, my old mk6.5 was written off unfortunately and my friend who works for Ford recommended the new Zetec S to me, and after a few weeks of looking around I decided it was the sensible choice for me. I picked up my Panther Black Zetec S from a Ford garage on the 31st of October, it's the 1.0 Ecoboost 125ps, 1 Owner from new, 6,471 miles, one service on it and there extras consist of; Privacy glass, Upgraded 17" alloys, City Pack and Start/Stop pack. It was one of the ford guy's girlfriends car, only sold it back to them because they got an upgrade because of his job, so something nice and legit, and no dodgy reasons! I don't have a proper list of what I want to do just yet, but a Stage 1 Revo remap and new exhaust system is on the cards. But for now I'll just be adding bits on here and there but will be sure to post about it! Ordered a pack of LED's last night so hopefully they're going to turn up some point this week. Here are some of the photos the day I officially bought her! And the day after, picking her up! Couldn't quite believe how clean it was... Thanks for reading :)
  5. Hi all, My names Jason, I'm 23 and live in Burton, Staffordshire. I'm new to the forum but have previously been a member of Zetec S Owners Club & Fiesta STOC. First off a brief history of my car past. My first car was a MK7 Fiesta Zetec S Metal Edition! Next up, was a Panther Black Fiesta ST3 (MP215) Due to my circumstances changing, having to do a lot of long distance driving, I had to sell her :( and get a MK3 1.6 TDCI Focus Zetec. Got me from A to B and a solid reliable car all round. Had a surprising amount of talk and felt more powerful than 115 BHP, and the gear box actually felt really nice. But it was just too slow and boring for my liking, so as soon as I was able to I got rid of that. And so that leads me to now, my new beaST, a Frozen White Fiesta ST3 with ALL the trimmings! Collection Day: So I plan on keeping this car for quite a while (until I can eventually afford a MK3 Focus RS - my next goal!) More Pics after her first clean: I was going to go with Mountune to keep the warranty...but it's a 65 plate and only has 1 1/2 years left on it...so by the time I have the Mountune stuff done, it will be out of warranty anyway. So I plan on going with REVO instead. My overall goal is to have Stage 4 w/ Hybrid Turbo. That being said, my first performance mod may still be the MP215 kit as well as the Mountune Exhaust as I think they both finish the car off nicely and will keep me going till the warranty runs out. So in the mean time it will be mostly cosmetic mods + MP215 and Mountune Cat Back. First thing I did was have the front lip wrapped matte black with a red pin stripe. I think this looks great on the white and makes the front look a lot more aggressive. Next up, I swapped the front headlights for white 6000k bulbs. I will eventually be getting HIDs installed but this was just to keep me going until I order a full HID kit. I will also be replacing the Fog lamp bulbs with white 6000Ks. (Haven't got a good picture of these yet but when I do I'll post one) Next I added my Leather ST seatbelt covers from my last ST. Haven't got a pic of these either yet but when I do I'll add to the post. I also added a ST badge logo in the void on the steering wheel as I'll be getting a cover eventually and that would cover up the logo already on the wheel. Think I'm gonna swap with for the black gel one from DMB eventually though. Next one is gonna be a marmite mod, I can tell. Ordered these decals from eBay. Everyone so far loves them but I imagine some wouldn't. And finally today, my Team Heko wind deflectors came. I added a red pin stripe, but not sure if I'm gonna keep it or not yet....I haven't decided if I like it or not...thoughts? So that's where she stands at the moment! I have some white LEDs coming Monday for the number plate and interior lights so I'll update when they are fitted as well as get some pics of the exterior lights and seat belt covers. Thanks for looking guys! I'll be keeping this thread updated when more mods happen. Got big plans for this car in the future and I'm really looking forward to achieving them and having you all involved! Any feed back is much appreciated :) - J
  6. So. First of all, apologies for my absence and lack of posting. With the FOC app being completely dead & the Tapatalk one being close enough I had almost forgotten about the forum. Alas, I'm back! And I'd like to introduce my new car to you all. I'm sad to say the mk6 has now been sold on to a family member who has it for sale again to make some profit -_- This is my 2014 Ford Fiesta Ecoboost 1.0. I hoped for a 2016 one but I somehow ended up with a more expensive 2 year old.. Don't ask 😂 It has 125ps (123bhp) currently. I've already fitted an AS stage 2 induction kit with cold air feed and it made a noticeable improvement to throttle response and no real difference to fuel economy Next to come is an AIRTEC stage 2 intercooler & a custom stainless exhaust with sports cat. Then the car will spend a day with REVO for a Stage 2 map leaving it with around 180bhp! Not bad for £0 road tax. It has 17" alloys from the factory and wind reflectors courtesy of its first owner! Compared to the mk6 it handles like a go cart & in a straight line is more than enough go.. although it could stop better (ST rear axle?) Next up will be some Japanese racing wheels.. possibly JR11s? Possibly lower it a little more then job done. Paintwork wise, it's had a full correction which almost drove me crazy & been coated with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light & Exo v2. I use Kleen freaks glass cleaner & sealant on the glass which acts as a rain repellant (available on the website). I've fitted 5k LED sidelights & 5k 55w HIDs into the dipped beam. massive improvement over standard. Now I just need to sort an LED replacement for the DRL/high beam. I've already changed all 6 indicators to silver ones, possibly my first modification if I remember right. I've left the interior lighting alone as compared to the mk6 I quite like to warm feeling. I may possibly replace the filament bulbs for warm LED ones in the future I'm not sure. It's nice to have footwell LEDs from the factory though. And a rear roof light! I've fitted genuine fiesta mats all around & protected the whole interior with Gtechniq I1 Smart fabric to help keep it clean & fresh! On a sidenote, does anyone else hate "easy fuel"? I often seem to splash when pulling out which can be awkward

  8. Fiesta lowing springs

Hello all, I'm looking after lowering my fiesta, I decided to go for lowering springs as they are cheaper comparing to coilovers. If I was going to fit them do I need to get anything done on top of that? What I mean by that do I need a new alignment or mess with the struts or anything like that? Never done it before so I wanna know everything before hand, and if anyone has any recommendations of what springs to go for let me know Thank you for any help,
  9. UPDATE 19/01/2015 - I started this thread specifically for my sub enclosure. From there it grew into a general ICE thread. It's now turning into a general thread about mods/maintenance to/on my car. I also have topics on; Fiesta mk6 HID Retrofit - This topic shows how to fit Facelift head/tailights to a pre-facelift Fiesta mk6. It also explains how to install Bi-xenon projectors and HIDs without hurting the bank. I hope you enjoy reading, and subscribe to stay up to date! _______________________________________________________________________________ Few images of my custom sub box build... Just want to note now that I'm not building this box with competition specs in mind.. It's simply built to 1.) take up as little boot space as possible whilst 2.) providing more bass than the stock speakers. I'll be upgrading the rest of the audio in the car in due time! Just want to show off my amazing test of the box with a 6.5" "sub" although my box was designed for a 10" :) I'm using 12mm MDF and some strips of Ply to build my box. I'm also gluing all the joints with No Nails & Screws to make it as solid & airtight as possible. More pictures to follow once my sub, amp & carpet arrives! Fire away with any questions
  10. Potential new rules

Has anyone else heard about this yet? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2199311/Millions-modified-classic-cars-banned-roads-meddling-European-Union-try-shake-MOT-rules.html

From the album Ford Zetec Modified

  13. Hi guys, I'm buying my first car soon and need some advice ! I am 99.9 % certain that i'm getting a fiesta sport but a 2009 or newer. I only have £6500 for the car due to the price of the insurance, does anyone know anyone that is selling one or have any reviews so that i can get a better picture of the car im buying. Thanks Adam
  14. Hello :)

Hi there, I have just recently brought a new car and am in love with it! (wont say what car I had before ..) It has already been modified, I just need to touch up a little bit of paint work, but otherwise all good! If anyone knows where to buy the best paint from ( i need it for the sides and wheels) that would be most helpful. I'm looking to make friends on here who can give me advice and share pictures of modified fords, and of course guides on how to do it. Next i'd definitely like to add more to the inside. thanks Grace
  15. Dubshed 2013

Hey Guys, I know that this might not be of interest to everyone but on the 7th April there was a car show held in Belfast, Northern Ireland called DUBshed. As a huge car enthusiast, I always like to check out modified and tuned cars, see new ideas and appreciate the amount of work that other drivers put in to show their pride in their cars. My first encounter with DUBshed was on at the same time last year, when a colleague of mine who owns an astonishing example of Audi A4 1.9TDi told me about it. Ever since then, I have been following the scene around Northern Ireland and the Republic. Anyways, without much further ado, just wanted to put up a few pictures from this year's display and hopefully you guys will enjoy it :)
  16. hey guys. i was just wondering if i should Decat my mondeo? and if i would notice an increase in power output. my mondeo is standard 115bhp and i am just wondering the best things i could do to get more power out of it i have ordered a tuning box and wonder if a straight through exhaust system would be a good idea?
